12/08/2024: Best experience in Bellagio is a coffee on the terrace. Drink in the best view of the lake. Friendly staff, classy and relaxing.

07/08/2024: The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is a comfortingly expensive, extremely high quality and luxurious hotel which is reflected across all public spaces and bedrooms with excellent attention to detail and cleanliness. Simply walking in to the hotel grounds from the rest of Bellagio makes you feel like a king amongst kings. Breakfast is an extravaganza of food, with something for everyone (including a cheeky glass of fizz). The restaurants serve very high quality tasty food that should be sampled at least once. The pool and beach area are very well attended. The hotel's positioning within Bellagio itself is brilliant - out of the way of the 'day-trippers' but central enough to easily pick up a ferry, go shopping or grab something to eat. What really sets the hotel apart is the staff, who are incredibly friendly, attentive and professional at all times and can't do enough to help. Personally, I'm happy for a little more informality once the staff get to know guests, but that may just be my preference. The only minor criticism I do have is that service did tend to wane when large groups or higher worth individuals were present, and we felt a little 'second class'. Special mention does need to be given to the following staff members who stood head and shoulders above everyone else for their friendliness and helpfulness, and made our holiday better for it: - Alice: As a fellow vegan, she helped me navigate the breakfast options on my first day which allayed my fears of starving for a week, and meant I eat like a king. She was always very friendly and even popped over half way through the week to ask how we were. - Maddalena: Always extremely friendly and welcoming every time I saw her, with a massive smile! She would always go out of her way to come over and stop for a chat, showing interest in us and what we'd been doing, and offer suggestions. Always a pleasure to speak to her. - Annabel: She had a permanent smile, bubbly personality and warm and friendly demeanour everywhere we saw her (which seemed to be in every department!). - Ilya: Despite his relative young age to the other waiting staff, he stood out as incredibly diligent, professional and friendly, even predicting my needs! It was genuinely a delight getting to know him, and he (as well as the owners of the GHVS and his managers) should be extremely proud of himself. He's doing an amazing job.

11/08/2024: The manager literally fights with customers and employees in front of everybody. this person has got no clue about running a business. now on the actual product they sell: the ice cream is tasteless and running, so soft my partner had most of it going of his tee and another client all on her shoes. the ice cream wafer is of the cheap kind bought at supermarkets. both not recommended considering the whopping price of 3€ for two flavors with cone and 4€ for three flavors. no positive vibes either

09/08/2024: Best ice cream in the area!!! There is a lot of variety for vegans, the cones are also vegan! Ice cream is without eggs (except the cream and eggnog). For me, those who don't eat eggs are essential! Then the flavors are amazing! Everyone! Compliments! In Lecco it is a must to eat it!

13/08/2024: I stopped to enjoy a good pizza and that was it: the first one was good! Nice place with just the right amount of air conditioning (neither too hot nor too cold, it felt good; attentive, fast service, very helpful and courteous staff, prices a little high!

21/07/2024: I was there for the first time for an evening with friends. They welcomed us well and with a smile and immediately seated us. We took the pizza....... Starting from the assumption that tastes are subjective, I have to say that I didn't like it at all. The pizza is too thin (apart from the crust which was the only good thing), it seemed watered down and despite the very long wait it wasn't cooked very well. I got a seafood pizza, two mussels, two calamari on a cross and then mostly surimi. What seafood is that? Plus it was just plain tasteless to me. In the dining room the service is courteous but very labored, one waitress practically did everything, the other two didn't seem to help much but congratulations to the girl who I saw doing her ass all evening by running between the tables. The kitchen as I saw it, better than the pizza the dishes looked good and I could see them coming out very quickly compared to the pizzas. The honest account!

We spent 10 days in Italy and we were finally able to eat a good pizza...I even ate 2...the boss is very nice. ..a little star less for the desserts where we were less hooked...but otherwise very good restaurant
