18/03/2026: Here you can find local food and excellent desserts, always homemade, as well as a beautiful fireplace, a lovely dining room, and a beautiful panoramic terrace, where you can enjoy your choice.
28/02/2026: A very nice restaurant, typical of the upper Carnia region. The food is also traditional, with very good local dishes. Highly recommended for the view, overlooking the Carnic valley and Mount Zoncolan. It's also a great place to stop for motorcyclists.

09/03/2026: This place really amazed us! It looks like a warehouse, and it probably is, but the extreme kindness and huge smiles of the ladies who welcome you make it truly wonderful! Everyone should work with the wonderful smiles and kindness of these ladies! We ate very simple but delicious dishes; the ingredients seemed very high-quality! I finally tried the frico and it was truly excellent! We definitely recommend this place!

The food was good, and the portions were generous. There were 33 of us, and everyone was happy.
In a month, as soon as we're in the area, we'll be back 🤙
10/04/2026: I asked for a glass of white wine at the bar—branded, not by the glass.
I was told they only sell full bottles of water.
There was a slight lack of love for quality and for the customer.

26/10/2025: We stumbled upon OSTERIA DAI GIMUI by chance last night with a last-minute reservation.
Well...the dishes were a delight for the palate and a feast for the eyes. My compliments to Chef Eros, who clearly puts so much love and passion into what he does. Kudos also to the beautiful and sweet Ludovica, who served us with professionalism and such grace.
We'll definitely be back.

21/03/2026: Since we discovered this little corner, where Lele makes one of the best pizzas I've had in Udine, we'll never go back. Super crispy, just the way I like it, and not at all heavy.
Plus, the two waitresses are really friendly and approachable; they immediately make you feel at ease and make the atmosphere even more pleasant.
Even the bill, knowing that in some places you have to fork over a kidney for a pizza and two beers, left us with a smile at the end of the evening, consistent throughout.
A simple but top-notch place, where you feel right at home. If only there were more places like this!

11/03/2026: We ordered a porcini mushroom pizza, but instead received a regular mushroom pizza... It was cold and tasted like a frozen pizza.
We also ordered a chicken steak, which cost €13, but it was really a small portion.
We paid for the bread (a sliced sandwich costs €2.20).
Very disappointed, we definitely won't be back!
08/03/2026: I ordered a Regina pizza to go with baked potatoes (€1.50), literally 10 pieces of potatoes. The pizza itself is good, but at this point, I recommend going in!

25/02/2026: I often come to this piadineria and have always had a great experience. The piadinas are truly delicious, you can taste their artisanal flavor, and the service is always friendly, even when the place is busy.
It's not a full-service restaurant, but a piadineria: you come here specifically to eat Romagna piadinas and simple, well-made dishes.
The atmosphere is simple and informal, and I've always found it well-kept and comfortable. I've even been welcomed by a little dog, which adds to the family atmosphere.
It's one of those places you'll want to go to and come back to again!
24/02/2026: Very friendly service. You can tell the lady is trying. The food is good, but you won't find traditional Italian cuisine here. The place looks nice, but the restroom doors are terrible. Plus, there was a dog wandering around the place.

16/12/2025: Elegant and refined, the atmosphere is managed by competent, kind, and smiling staff (we all know that these qualities are far from guaranteed). I ate one of the best frichis of my life. Our guests tried other dishes and were all satisfied (I know them well: they're merciless critics, so if they left satisfied, it means everything was truly delicious).
The prices are decidedly reasonable, especially after years of skyrocketing prices everywhere. Regardless, excellent value for the high quality.
We'll be back, definitely in the warmer months to enjoy the spectacular view of Udine and the surrounding area and the truly friendly welcome.

11/04/2026: I went there for dinner three times during my skiing holiday, including New Year's Eve. The dishes were traditional, natural, and almost 0-km food, excellent, but you have to book for good service, even in a separate restaurant. Truly superb. They also run a little bar on the Canalone ski slope, heading down from Zoncolan. Everything was great.
