Fast, attentive service, offering traditional dishes, using traditional, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients. Fresh pasta, sublime escarole and olive tart, eggplant parmigiana just like my grandmother used to make with non-industrialized ingredients, and chicken leg and mushrooms that melt in every bite. Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: Excellent restaurant serving traditional Piacenza cuisine. The place is large and welcoming, with good service. The food is good, featuring typical Piacenza dishes. We opted for two first courses and two second courses, a half bottle of wine, water, coffee, and a liqueur, for a total of €102. The portions are average. The Fassona beef tartare was very good, as were the pisarei and beans.

The cuisine is top-notch: meticulously prepared dishes, evidently using high-quality ingredients, and harmonious flavors that enhance tradition with a touch of refinement. Each course was thoughtful, balanced, and truly delicious. The service was professional, discreet, and attentive to the customer's needs. 25/12/2025: Staying at the Cartiera dei Benandanti is a unique experience. The food is exceptionally high quality, the guests are consistently warm and courteous, and the location is surrounded by woods.

04/11/2025: The Manager was fantastic. Our kids are 3y and 1y old and we were there quite late at around 7pm. He was very patient. He brought some colour pens and papers for the kids to keep them happy and made space on our table for some of our toys. We ordered our food and he said they will prepare the food for the kids first and once they are ready, they will start with ours so that we have some time to feed pur kids first. That was not only nice but also very caring. The food quality was very good, the portions were great and filled us pretty well and also the desert was absolutely awesome. Normally people want to sell as much as possible but the manager was different. When we ordered desert, he recommended to order one first because it might be too much and once we think we can make the second it won‘t take long. Bur also all other staff was vedy friendly and helpful. I don‘t know many places where people are so passionate in their job. Absolutely recommendable.

15/03/2026: Gilly's piadina and crescioni are worth the trip from Tuscany. The dough is excellent and the filling is generous, made with top-quality ingredients. The piadina with prosciutto, squacquerone, and arugula is delicious, as is the crescione with radicchio in Lambrusco, sausage, and gorgonzola. Next time we'll try other variations, which will surely be delicious.

17/03/2026: A pleasant weekend lunch while visiting Bologna. I chose this place after following recommendations online, and I was very pleased. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to sit outside in early February, but we accepted anyway because we were curious to try the dishes they served. We had a nest as an appetizer, with pumpkin, leek, and more; it was truly delicious! We then had two different first courses, both very interesting. We also added mixed baked potatoes. Good flavors, friendly service, medium-high prices, but definitely worth a try. I recommend it!

08/02/2026: Beautiful place, very welcoming and patient staff...sometimes it takes a lot of patience. Very good dishes and a varied and original selection. The only drawback is a bit too much eucalyptus scent (?)...but that goes away. Must try!!

18/02/2026: For many years, it's been a go-to place for modern macrobiotic cuisine with a wide selection of vegan options. I've stopped here many times for lunch, preferring the one-pot meal, which is always perfectly balanced. The food is also very varied; I don't think I've ever eaten the same thing. It's a quiet place, even when busy. It's always best to book a table. Colleagues who eat omnivores have told me the tortellini are exceptional; it's worth a visit. [Addition: I apologize for the mistake; I called their stuffed pasta "tortellini," which obviously isn't meat-based... we non-Bolognese tend to call all tortellino-shaped pasta that, but obviously they're vegetarian here!]
