29/05/2026: If you want rotisserie chicken from this place, you need a strategy. While staying nearby, I reached a point in my Sicily trip where I needed a break from the copious amounts of pasta, pizza, and tomato sauce I was eating. I was on a mission to find protein. We tried twice. The first time, they were sold out. The second time, we arrived to find chickens still turning on the rotisserie, only to learn they had all been reserved. At that point, I wasn’t accepting defeat. I was determined. On day three, I called ahead and reserved a chicken for pickup. It was absolutely worth the effort. We left with a whole rotisserie chicken, roasted potatoes, french fries, eggplant Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and two large bottled beers. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked and exactly what I had been craving. What surprised us most was the value. We ordered what felt like enough food for a small army and somehow spent only around €20. It was not only one of the most affordable meals of our trip, but also one of the most satisfying and we still had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Wonderful food, incredible value, and friendly service. My only advice: if you have your heart set on the chicken, call ahead. Trust me on this one. *This is a takeaway place.*

On holidays and Sundays, there's no à la carte menu; instead, there's a set menu for €45 with a great selection of local specialties, including wine. Unfortunately, they forgot our antipasti platter; otherwise, it would have been five stars.

26/04/2026: Holiday at an agriturismo: Celebrating, eating, drinking, and laughing! At Casale Drinzi in Collessano, it was fantastic on April 25th, simply top-notch. Actually, I'm not usually a fan of going to an agriturismo on holidays and special occasions. We've often had some unpleasant surprises. But not here! The location is a dream, nestled against the majestic Madonie Mountains. On the terrace, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, its waters shimmering a pale blue on the horizon, a glass of Prosecco or Campari in hand. Gianluca, the owner, is bustling about: a helping hand here, a greeting there—a perfect host. The new dining room upstairs has now been completed. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The many delicious antipasti, pasta, and meat dishes were all cooked to perfection, and a cannolo scalyano made for a delightful end to a wonderful day at Casale Drinzi. I call arriving and feeling at ease, enjoying a different kind of day with family and friends. This is possible here, with such a breathtaking view and ambiance, and outstanding cuisine. The wine selection is impressive, with some important labels just waiting to be uncorked. Not just for special occasions, but every day at lunch and dinner. They also serve pizza, which you can soon enjoy on a new, elevated wooden terrace overlooking the greenery and the church of Collessano. It's the perfect place to unwind on a hot summer day. 30/05/2026: We found this heavenly place off the tourist trail in Venice. We're on Fondamenta San Giobbe, with one of the best sunsets you'll ever see. We stopped at Osteria Ai Canottieri, where the staff was super friendly, youthful, and witty. They made us feel right at home. We ate a cowboy steak—their specialty is meat. I highly recommend it. Served on a lava stone board with mixed vegetables. Perfectly cooked, compliments to the chef. Wide selection of wines, top value. What else can I say? No, try it! 😍

17/05/2026: For the atmosphere, I'd give it triple the stars. It's like being at home having lunch with your family. The food was delicious; we had Italian-style fried fish, meatballs in tomato sauce, Genovese, and ragù. Everything was delicious. Enzo, a very nice guy, served us. 25/05/2026: I went to dinner at Osteria al Donzellino for the first time with my boyfriend. Antonia, the owner, welcomed us as if she already knew us. A historic restaurant in the countryside, we sat in the internal courtyard, and it felt just like one of those dinners you have on vacation. We ate excellent, authentic food, all homemade from the starters to the desserts. It was just like the cuisine you'd eat at home. The owner guided us throughout the evening with advice and a little chat at the table. A truly pleasant discovery, a simple, natural, and welcoming place.
