24/10/2025: The breakfast is a real wow! I wouldn't have expected such a selection (muesli!) in a small hotel. My pajamas were folded on the pillows that evening. We were looking forward to a quiet night on the side facing the pedestrian zone. Not quiet at all! Drunken people shouting, fast cars, garbage trucks, and so on... Tip: Ask for a room at the back. The distance (400 meters) from the possible parking garage (Rittener Strasse 5) should be noted in the listing! You have to go to the hotel first, get the key, and then back to the car.

19/08/2025: A bar and restaurant nestled in the woods in a large clearing with plenty of parking. Very friendly, attentive staff and fast service. Delicious, tasty dishes made with top-quality ingredients. Fair prices for both quality and quantity, and excellent desserts.

14/12/2025: Excellent property 5 km from Bressanone. A family-run hotel with 14 rooms. The owners are friendly, the rooms are small but clean and always warm. The breakfast is excellent, with jams and non-supermarket products. Half board is available upon request. Average price per room per night with breakfast: €125.00. I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay without having to leave the center of Bressanone.

01/11/2025: It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The property is family-run, which is important to us because we felt welcomed by everyone. The room was, first of all, spotlessly clean, furnished in a simple South Tyrolean style, bright, and overlooking a balcony with a beautiful panoramic view of the Plose Valley. The property is strategically located and very easy to reach, even by bus (344) from Bressanone station. The breakfast was rich and made with local products. It is located near starting points for many walking routes in the surrounding areas, particularly the Via del Castagno (Chestnut Route). Excellent value for money.

15/08/2025: We had our best holiday ice cream in the area here, so we even went back to Karl's a few days later. Otherwise, a great location and friendly staff.

29/10/2025: We stayed one night and I wouldn't recommend it. The room we booked was cold. We asked for the heating to be turned on, but after half an hour, only the bathroom heating worked, not the room heating. We called and were told to wait (even though it was clearly broken, since the other heating worked). Furthermore, the bidet wouldn't flush. At the end of the day, they told us the heating was broken and they would change our room. When we arrived, we found it COLD, too! Embarrassing... and on top of that, we didn't receive a real apology, just a simple "let's turn the heating on now"... Poor service and rude staff. Given the price this hotel charges for one night, I expected at least a more comfortable room and more courtesy.

03/10/2025: For this year's autumn bike tour, we decided to book our hotel as a fixed-priced option for the first time. We wanted a modern, alpine-style hotel in a quiet location as the starting point for our tours. And what can I say? Of all the accommodations we've stayed in the same category on our previous tours, this one is by far the most beautiful, comfortable, friendly, and relaxing. It starts with the welcome at reception, the amazement upon entering the suite, the very friendly service staff (whether reception, waitresses, or room attendants), the delicious dinner (who wouldn't get full after four courses?), an exciting wine tasting, the bike parking, the pool... The list goes on. And the host also took the time for wonderfully entertaining conversations with us. Every day was a delight. Our bodies were active during the day, we were able to marvel at the magnificent nature, and in the afternoon we were able to relax and unwind – both together are balm for the soul. Until next time, Mr. Brunner, you have won us as a regular guest 😃.

01/10/2025: A simple excursion, requiring nothing special except for the obvious. The view is very pleasant, and Mr. Simone's service is friendly and helpful. The cuisine is well-prepared, clean, and of good quality, and the price is fair and reasonable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet escape from the daily grind. 11/10/2025: A wonderful, comfortable atmosphere, with first-class and very attentive service. Here, you pay €3 per person for a cover charge. The accompaniment from the kitchen was very tasty and lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, the main course was very disappointing. The dumplings were bland by South Tyrolean standards, and the chanterelle mushrooms were unfortunately too salty. But I would still come back, as everything else was really good, and try a different dish.

Solo perché il primo scelto alla fine era buono (anche se, a dirla tutta, il menù prevedeva poche specialità locali ed elaborazioni discutibili, oppure piatti non tipici, come i miei strozzapreti, che sono trentini...). Su tutto il resto stendiamo un velo pietoso perché è evidente che la gestione del locale è in mano a personale totalmente inadeguato, incapace di gestire i picchi e a rapportarsi con la clientela in modo cortese e professionale. Prima di tutto: il tavolo me lo sono creato da solo, spostando barili e sedie. Dopodiché, anziché ringraziarmi, il caposala ha pensato bene di farmi ordinare e ammonirmi di non scappare senza pagare perché ci sono le telecamere a sorvegliare. Ma io mi chiedo: ma che modi sono? Additarmi come un ladro così, gratuitamente? Vergogna! Quantomeno, avrei gradito un servizio impeccabile, e invece in una giornata da tutto esaurito, il personale era ai minimi storici, un'ora per un primo piatto e, a mia domanda su che fine avesse fatto (stavano mangiando tutti i tavoli che avevano ordinato dopo di me che ero da solo, primi piatti compresi), la prima risposta è stata "no non puoi chiedere", la seconda è stata "se hai ordinato arriva", e solo la terza volta magicamente è comparso il piatto. Ho quindi evitato il dolce e pensavo di bere un caffè al banco. Cosa invece non possibile e quindi l'ho dovuto ordinare. Stessa scena. A quel punto, avendo già pagato con l'ordine, sono entrato io al banco a ritirarlo in autonomia: era sul bancone che aspettava da chissà quanto. Che vergogna. E soprattutto, che imbarazzo: la Badia non ha bisogno di locali del genere, che si fregiano di essere rifugi storici e invece farebbero meglio a cedere il passo ad altri!
