01/01/2026: Located at the entrance to the village of Pienza, the atmosphere is extremely relaxed and informal, yet very welcoming. The cuisine is excellent, with dishes and ingredients that begin with tradition and then evolve. The wine selection is extensive, and Davide makes excellent recommendations. We had a wonderful evening tasting and drinking so many delicious things: thank you so much!

12/02/2026: Mrs. Silvana's restaurant is always a guarantee!!! A little gem hidden in the courtyard of a building, it's a place of Tuscan tradition! The kindness, courtesy, and delicious food make you feel at home! A carpaccio with grama that melts in your mouth, the polenta with Cinta ragù that is so tasty and you'll never want to stop eating! Then we had a slice of Chianina beef that tasted like butter, with potatoes and vegetables, and the desserts that you could eat over and over again!!! We had a hard time choosing just one dish because we wanted to eat EVERYTHING!!!!!

20/01/2026: Just outside the walls of the picturesque village of Pienza, near the parking lots—the ones with parking discs, that is—on the narrow road that slopes down from the village, toward Colombaiolo, lies this small trattoria. It's rustic in style but has a somewhat unassuming appearance, to use the Tuscan dialect term. It lacks personality and a sense of local identity. Its notable virtuous soul is a small fireplace in the center of the dining room. As is well known, a fire creates a convivial and pleasant atmosphere, especially on gray winter days! La Chiocciola is always very popular, especially with tourists, but there's no shortage of locals, too. This is my second visit! The food is honest, simple, and unpretentious. The ingredients used are certainly not top-notch, but that's fine. In short, traditional dishes, discreet service, and reasonable prices.

Tradition and small but intense flashes of originality blended perfectly to create exquisite dishes that truly rival those of Michelin-starred restaurants. Service. Don't you dare compliment the chef alone, he's unique, let's be clear! The Signora's service is as distinctive and intense as the delicious meal she delivers with her unique grace. The dynamic between the two is reminiscent of the hilarious Vianello couple. By the way, don't bother trying to make reservations—"We don't take reservations here," replies the Signora—and don't bother trying to find out when you can come back for dinner—"How would I know?! And what am I supposed to do, get the gentlemen eating to stand up and make room for you." Wonderful. For those who don't understand the Lazio humor, she's extremely kind and always available to her customers. Atmosphere. As the name suggests, it's a small delicatessen. Very welcoming and tastefully decorated to feel like a little cottage. And that's how you feel, at home. In short, the best lunch I've had in 2025.

22/12/2025: Amazing tagliere, polenta & gnocchi. The restaurant is small but cosy. The owners are really kind & hard working. Recommend to come here if you really want to enjoy good food.

However, this price is per 100g, and the cut of meat there is enormous. It could easily be shared by two people. Therefore, order just one steak and consider paying around €40 for that piece.
