07/10/2025: BEST ITALIAN FOOD I have ever had. Home cooked, the family are the nicest people and make you feel at home. We got there before they opened and they welcomed us in with food and drinks. The pasta is the best ived had Especially the Gnocchi! The wine amazing. Do not skip this while in the area I will recommend to anyone

03/11/2025: Typical Tuscan cuisine, excellent from appetizers to desserts. The coffee is good, and even the bitter liqueur that bears their name is delicious and has a lovely herbal flavor. The view is also beautiful.

21/11/2025: The food at Rafanelli's is always good, and the drinks are even better, if you can stop the sommelier from bouncing from table to table with little substance. It's always crowded, which on the one hand is a sign of excellence, but on the other, it can be a bit noisy. Prices are always above average.

09/11/2025: On Friday, October 31, 2025, I dined at this restaurant for the first time with my partner. I had heard about it but had never been there. We ate very well; everything was delicious, with the main courses being better than the first courses, but the first courses were also good. We had meat dishes: whole wheat maltagliati with duck ragù and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and for main courses, wild boar steak with caramelized chestnuts and guinea fowl confit stuffed with chestnuts and sausage, all cooked at a low temperature. Delicious. And to finish, a delicious dessert. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

08/11/2025: A quiet setting in a former farmhouse. Alessandro is an excellent chef. The cuisine is purely Tuscan, with excellent dishes and meticulous service. Prices are affordable, so reservations are required to secure a table. Definitely worth a try. R.N

16/10/2025: The olive oil tour is highly recommended! Incredibly delicious olive oil at a great price, which you'll appreciate even more after a tour where they explain how much time and energy this process takes. David and his wife were incredibly hospitable!

06/10/2025: David and Georgia are the perfect hosts. You can feel at any given moment that they love what they do. Not only is the gorgeous farmhouse located in a beautiful area, but the service both of them provide is excellent. If you get the chance to enjoy the „farm-to-table“ experience, go for it! It is absolutely worth it. If we ever travel back to this area, we will definitely stay with them again!

03/11/2025: An excellent restaurant in the heart of Pistoia, almost on Piazza della Sala, with a very original and tasteful decor. This is our menu: tortelli filled with Prato mortadella with a parmesan cream, chopped pistachios, and drops of basil reduction, artisanally marinated beef carpaccio with crunchy seasonal vegetables, and dessert.

18/10/2025: A welcoming pizzeria with fast service, and above all, the best pizza I've ever had in our area. The flavor, lightness, and quality of the ingredients combine to make it a delight for the palate!!! The pizza chefs are excellent, and the service is excellent!

09/09/2025: We happened upon it by chance, returning from a long day, and found a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, and what can we say about the pizza: WONDERFUL 😍!!!! Excellent, light. We all had the same thought.... we'd love to have more 😂😂 You are in our hearts 🤗, and if we ever come back, it will be a must-try! Thank you so much 😊

05/11/2025: We waited three hours to see our dishes. If there wasn't a chance of providing adequate service, we could have simply let them know and we would have happily chosen another place. Twenty minutes passed between each course, and there were five of us, so everyone ate independently. In these situations, it would have been polite to offer a discount or a meal, but nothing.

02/11/2025: Pangea was probably faster. I'll briefly summarize my painful experience there. We booked a table for 9:30 PM by calling after 8 PM (so, when service was already underway). We arrived at the restaurant precisely at the appointed time, noticing a crowd of people in front of the restaurant who had booked for 9 PM and were still waiting. And from there began probably the longest wait of my life, beyond even a birth. They seated us at a whopping 10:30 PM, outside, at a table isolated from everyone else, in the freezing cold, while the others were under a tent with some warming mushrooms, and we were the only ones excluded from this privilege. Even though we tried to ask to be moved—not immediately, of course, but only when a table became available indoors or under the awning—we were told yes and no. Either way, the bottom line was that we were left eating in the cold (and given the hour and the amount of hours we'd been waiting, it was truly freezing). Our first ramen arrived at a whopping 11:30 PM, followed by the second a full 15 minutes later. So, as if that weren't enough after all this waiting, we didn't even get to eat them together. We finished our meal after midnight, and of course the staff didn't offer us the slightest discount, except for an embarrassing apology, which arrived only after we'd paid. What can I say, the ramen was good, but you have to decide for yourself whether 15 minutes of satisfaction is worth a two-and-a-half-hour wait. I don't know if it was just an isolated incident and therefore a bad day, and I feel sorry for them, but what is certain is that my day was ruined too.

22/10/2025: Profoundly disappointing experience. This is an old-school restaurant with a balanced menu and authentic staff — something I usually appreciate. However, in nearly 11 years of Russia’s war against Ukraine, it’s natural to expect a basic level of sensitivity toward Ukrainians who do not want to be addressed in Russian. Hearing this language is painful — it is associated with blood and death. Despite our polite request not to be spoken to in Russian, the restaurant sent a female staff member who insisted on using it, even delivering a short speech to justify her choice. That response showed a profound lack of empathy and cultural awareness. A place that values hospitality should respect its guests’ boundaries and the tragic reality that defines them. There are plenty of other places in the same price range with better food, service, and atmosphere, where respect and understanding still mean something.
