A traditional restaurant in the center of Pistoia. Rustic decor, lots of items on display, and a bit of a mess. The tables are small and very close together. Good food, slightly above-average prices. Service is by young, somewhat inexperienced but very helpful and efficient young women. The small welcome appetizer was much appreciated, but it's unclear why they sometimes use disposable plates or containers. We ordered a Florentine steak, but we got a rib-eye steak. No problem, the meat was excellent, but I would have liked to have been informed.

Authentic Tuscan ambiance in the heart of Pistoia, right next to the Duomo. Rustic decor, warm atmosphere – you'll feel right at home.
The cuisine is traditional and homemade: the truffle pasta, Zuppa del Carcerato, and Trippa alla Fiorentina were a delight. The antipasti platter with salumi and cheese was also generous and fresh.
Host Checco Bugiani is warm and humorous – just let him guide you through the menu. An absolute must for authentic Tuscan cuisine.
