The service was impeccable, attentive, and fast. Andrea and his team are super friendly and professional, they manage to make you feel right at home without compromising on quality. A place you'll want to return to, often.

21/02/2026: An anachronistic experience and unbalanced value for money. I visited this well-known pizzeria with my family, but unfortunately, my expectations were largely disappointed. The initial impression was marked by a decidedly subdued welcome: the cashier—the owner—distinguished herself by a marked lack of empathy and warmth, an approach that clashes with the minimum standards of hospitality. Furthermore, the place appears frozen in an outdated aesthetic, conveying a sense of neglect rather than tradition. Regarding the food, the pizzas were adequate but lacking in excellence, with specific sore points: Shrimp Pizza: It tasted flat due to the lack of the necessary aromatic component (garlic and parsley). Pizza alla Norma: Definitely unbalanced; the eggplant was excessively dark in color, a clear sign of having been fried in used oil. Margherita with sausage: The mozzarella portions were insufficient, and the overall flavor was barely acceptable. The biggest disappointment concerns the treatment of guests: In a restaurant like this, one would expect at least some attention to the little ones, a courtesy that was completely lacking from the owners. The only bright spot of the evening was the professionalism of the waiter, a talkative and courteous figure who tried, wherever possible, to improve the service. Finally, the bill was disproportionate to the overall experience. One gets the feeling that every detail is being monetized without any real return in terms of quality or hospitality. Not recommended. Management needs a profound overhaul, both structurally and in terms of attitude. If the system allowed it, my rating would be zero stars, as the overall experience doesn't even reach the minimum passing grade.

14/01/2026: Historical restaurant two steps far from Ortigia, gorgeous selection of starters, famous for grilled food and probably the only one who serves the famous beef steak "fiorentina" of Chianina cow. Ideal for making a party with friends, if you know what I mean, like... Having tons of food and wine and having fun

18/03/2026: €7 for two ice creams (a cone and a small cup) is a joke, unjustifiably inflated prices for a product that's nothing special. It almost seems like they're targeting distracted tourists rather than quality. The quality wasn't great either, and the hygiene wasn't even up to scratch. It's truly disgusting. And above all, the staff's lack of kindness. I'll never set foot in there again.

28/02/2026: I stayed in Syracuse for a week, in a hotel very close to the Viola caffe. I went to Viola for breakfast three times and everything was wonderful, excellent. But on the fourth time I went for breakfast at Viola, I had an experience that needs to be reported. It was rude and even comical. It was on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, around 9:30 am. My wife and I arrived for another breakfast at Viola and we ordered a cappuccino, an Americano, and two chocolate cones to go. There was a very friendly attendant at the register and another blonde woman making the coffees. The blonde woman preparing the coffees was completely agitated, loudly calling the attention of the one at the register. When that blonde woman from the cafe handed me the two coffees I ordered, they were in two sealed cups, since they were to go, and I asked which one was the Cappuccino and which one was the Americano, because the cups had their lids closed and I couldn't see. This blonde girl started saying loudly that the cappuccino was with milk and the Americano was without milk, asking if I didn't know the difference. I quickly thought of two possible responses, because I don't usually listen to insults and stay silent: 1) I thought about asking her if she thought I was Superman and had X-ray vision, since the cups were closed. 2) I thought about saying a good "Vaffanculo" to her in good Italian, but since I was on vacation and relaxed, I thought it best not to do that. But she really deserved a "Vaccanculo Stronza”. Anyway, I just smiled politely and left Café Viola to continue my vacation trip that day to Taormina. I would like to express my gratitude to all the other employees at Viola for the excellent service they provided us on the four occasions we visited the cafe. And I would also like to offer medical advice to that blonde employee: she urgently needs to see a psychiatrist to treat her nerves, as she is quite out of her mind. And she risks receiving a "vaffanculo" as a response.

Tonight, when I said “solo uno,” the blonde woman (who has multiple other bad reviews) at the counter suddenly acted like she didn't understand basic Italian and snapped at me to “just tell me what you want.” The attitude was dismissive and openly rude. There was no misunderstanding, just poor customer service and unnecessary hostility. Italy is full of warm, welcoming cafés. This is not one of them. I would not recommend supporting a business that treats customers this way. Instead I now go to Irma la dolce only a few minutes away and I'm always treated with respect. My family/friends and I have been paying customers here for months/years, ordering in Italian with no problems. Tonight, when I said "just one", the woman at the counter suddenly acted like she didn't understand basic Italian and snapped at me for "just telling me what you want". The attitude was dismissive and downright rude. There was no misunderstanding, just poor customer service and unnecessary hostility. Italy is full of warm, welcoming cafes. This is not one of them. I wouldn't recommend supporting a company that treats customers this way. Instead, I now go to Irma la Dolce, just a few minutes away, and I'm always treated with respect.

03/12/2025: I'm a customer of the Calleri bakery. For the holidays, I had the pleasure of trying their new lemon cream panettone. It's a soft, well-leavened panettone with a lovely citrus aroma. The light, non-cloying lemon cream makes it an excellent dessert. I highly recommend trying it; I'll definitely be trying the other flavors.

28/12/2025: The breaded ones are good, but the filling is cooked ham, which shouldn't be there. If you arrive by car, there's no way to find a parking spot.

22/10/2025: The bread was very good, as was a typical local stuffed focaccia, whose name I don't remember. Next time I'm in Lentini, I'll definitely go back. I highly recommend it.

02/03/2026: The gluten-free pizza was undercooked, the toppings were almost non-existent, it seemed like a snack instead of pizza, maybe they should update it

21/02/2026: I've been going to this place for about four years and have never encountered any problems. The pizzas are delicious and the service is excellent and friendly. However, I'm forced to remove a star due to the significant delay. It took 50 minutes to take an order, 55 minutes to receive fries as an appetizer, and 90 minutes to start eating the pizza. I think I'll avoid going on Saturdays for now to avoid this inconvenience. There are other details I'm avoiding mentioning because they're always caused by the delay and confusion caused by the huge influx of customers to serve.

17/10/2025: We spent 10 days in Sicily and this family was by far the friendliest! They make gorgeous wines and the mother knows how to cook... Delicious local food. This is a must visit if you're in the area.
