23/10/2025: Went here for lunch on a weekday, the place was practically empty as it is a part of a 5 star hotel.
The outdoor dining terrace is bang on the beach with the beautiful mazzaro cove in full sight. The service levels were very high and they do charge a 15 percent service charge for the same.
The food we ordered was routine fare like tuna tartare, a vegetarian pizza and pasta norma. Everything was as it should be, but nothing stood out as exceptional.
Would recommend the place for a lazy lunch while visiting isolabella.

I chose the restaurant.
We were all impressed by the charming setting and the impeccable service, with waiters who spoke French.
But when the food arrived, we were all disappointed.
Given the exorbitant prices, I felt really uncomfortable.
Go there if you want to enjoy a pleasant setting and good service,
but if you want to eat well, don't go.
The dishes really lack flavor—you wouldn't think you were in Italy, which is a shame.

At a wedding I organized, Francesco won over all the guests with his excellent granitas, artisanal ice creams, and cakes, all served with such professionalism.
Highly recommended if you're stopping on the beautiful Bougainvillea island.

03/02/2026: On Saturday evening, we had a wonderful evening for my daughter's eighteenth birthday. Congratulations to you, Piero, and your staff, starting with Nunzio, the head waiter, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, and his staff, who were polite, courteous, and attentive. Every request I had was immediately accommodated, and yet we were able to enjoy the celebrations even longer, as the kids danced and had fun until late, always impeccable. The food was of the highest quality and in abundance, just as I wanted it to be! We will definitely be happy to celebrate our special moments at your restaurant again!

30/09/2025: It's the cheapest supermarket in the area (so far). It doesn't have a wide variety of brands, but you can find almost anything within the options it offers. The service is okay. It's a shame they don't look for alternatives to disposable plastic gloves for baking and produce. In other countries, plastic or metal tongs are used. Not only do they all get thrown around, but they also cause tremendous pollution just to grab a loaf of bread. This is something that happens in every supermarket in the area 😞
25/08/2025: Today, around 12:00, I went shopping at the Torregrotta store (Messina) and took advantage of the products on sale, that is, those marked with promotion tags. Only later that evening, looking at the receipt, did I realize that the products marked with the tags were not on sale but will be starting tomorrow. I think this is dishonest behavior towards customers, especially because it's not the customer who should pay attention, in this case, to the start date of the offers, but rather the store that should display the tags only during their validity period. This behavior borders on fraud. I urge customers to be very careful; this behavior will become commonplace.

14/10/2025: We went to La Lupara for an evening meal. We had the grilled squid and grilled prawns, plus a couple of cannoli and a few beers. The owners are lovely people and offer great food and company. The restaurant was full of locals, with a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit 😊😊👏👏

16/10/2025: I really loved The Cherry Bar and visited a few times on my recent trip to Taormina. Such a relaxing little place with outdoor seating and good service. Antonio is so friendly and accommodating and Stephanie is the best! The chef makes the best Lasagna, so light and delicious! Drinks were delicious and generous! I also made sure to pick out a few fine pastries to enjoy later before I left. A must visit on your way thru Taormina!

The girls are always smiling and very kind. Even if they only see me once a year, they remember me and save my favorite lobster tail for me.
The pastas are simply perfect, always fresh and perfectly balanced in flavor.

17/09/2025: Good place for a simple meal, decent cuisine. Too bad we couldn't enjoy a sea view, but overall the food is still satisfactory and the flavors are quite classic.
10/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining here last night. The place is very elegant and pleasant. We were served by very kind and helpful waiters, always ready to recommend the right food.
We started with a delicious shrimp cocktail, followed by spaghetti with clams and gnocchi with pesto and shrimp, all accompanied by a fruity white wine that made the dinner incredibly tasty. We finished with a panna cotta and an apple tart.
Nothing to add, everything was perfect. The sound of the waves in the background created a magical atmosphere.
If you love good food, this is a must-try, highly recommended!

15/03/2026: Based on the reviews, we came to this pastry shop and it visually delighted us. We took 6 cakes. One of them, the cheesecake, was so dry and hard that I thought it was plastic. I returned it in surprise, and the waitress said to me "A signora..." because I guess it was my fault for choosing that cake from the ones offered in the window. No excuse, no word to explain, no apology or justification at all. She gave me another cake, similar to the first one. There were three more "plastic" ones left in the window, be careful not to choose them. I don't think you can find something like that even in the worst pastry shop in Croatia. The mini crostatas with wild strawberries were top-notch.
