20/03/2025: Fuimos por recomendación de nuestro casero, entendemos que la baja disponibilidad de un restaurante en temporada baja en Stromboli, podía tener un sobreprecio. Pero compartimos una cerveza, un plato de gambas a la plancha que estuvo rico 6/10. (24 euros) Luego pescado local, sólo a la plancha, una lechuga de ensalada sin más que si aderezo (44 euros) Sin postre, sin vino. Pagamos unos desproporcionados 80 euros. Vimos como a italianos cobraba por más platos con vino menos dinero. Es muy decepcionante sentir que te engañan. We went on the recommendation of our host; we understand that the low availability of a restaurant during the low season in Stromboli could lead to a premium price. But we shared a beer (yes just 1) and a plate of grilled shrimp, which was correct not great (24 euros). Then we had local fish, grilled only (not a premium fish) and a lettuce salad with nothing more than the dressing (44 euros). No dessert, no wine. We paid an unreasonable 80 euros. We saw how Italians were charged less, for more dishes with wine. It's very disappointing to feel cheated.

15/03/2025: Zurro è un padrone di casa fantastico: simpatico, raccontastorie, una vera istituzione stromboliana... Il cibo è molto buono e cucinato bene... Il posto è familiare ed accogliente... Ma assolutamente chiedete prima i prezzi, scritti su un menù, perchè se fate fare a lui vi ammazza con i prezzi !!! (e non per mangiare ostriche e bere Champagne !!!)

15/04/2025: Preciso che eravamo due coppie. Abbiamo mangiate bene (pepata di cozze discreta) Il personale è molto gentile, garbato e molto attento. I dolci sono squisiti. C'è un pero'... I prezzi di alcune pietanze sono fuori mercato. Non sono Alti, ma ALTISSIMI. NON esiste una pepata di cozze al prezzo di 13 Euro. Stiamo parlando di un piatto che non supera i 500 grammi di peso. Le cozze al mercato le vendono a 4 Euro al chilo, sicuramente i proprietari dei locali li pagano meno. NON può esistere una cheesecake (buonissima) servita in una terrina di piccole dimensioni al costo di euro 6.50. Anche le birre Artigianali hanno un costo elevano. Una birra pagata euro 7.50 l ho vista e acquistats in un enoteca a euro 3. Ripeto cibo e personale ottimo. Prezzi fuori mercato, esageratamente.

13/04/2025: Il 13 aprile abbiamo festeggiato da Antò i 14 anni dimio nipote: il.pranzo è stato perfetto, siaco.e portate che come servizio attento e puntuale. Il menù di cozze strabuono, ma anche gli antipasti, primi e secondi alla carta. Consigliatissimo

05/09/2024: Stunning food, venue and views. Visited here twice towards the end of our holiday in Sicily - the pizza is to die for and I also tried the swordfish lasagna which was also delicious. The welcoming is very warm, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff are all excellent. Just wish we'd been earlier.

04/09/2024: Ne pas passer par la Caverna à Castelmola si vous séjournez du côté de Taormine serait regrettable. Une cuisine gastronomique à prix raisonnable. Caponata, assortiment de fromages & légumes , pâtes, tout est juste parfait . Nous logions juste à côté à l'hôtel Villa Sonia , qui mérite aussi le détour avec un personnel super accueillant et compétent.

16/03/2025: Io e mia moglie con due cari amici, ci siamo fermati a pranzo in questo locale carino e pulito. Travolti in modo benevolo e positivo da uno chef simpatico, immediato e vulcanico. Antonio "Maradona" ti accoglie con un calore che ti avvolge e ti accompagna nel menù che si accinge a preparare. Che dire... Cibi buoni, genuini e preparati ad arte. Dagli antipasti misti ai primi con materie prime degne di lode. Agnello e salsiccia alla brace divini. Dolci deliziosi e prezzo molto onesto.Alla fine ci alziamo da tavola con rammarico e vorremmo restare a parlare ancora con Antonio e con il titolare. Sicuramente ci sarà un'altra occasione per assaggiare il coniglio al sugo. Posto consigliato per ritornarci tante e tante altre volte.

03/11/2024: In occasione di una gita a Montalbano Elicona, abbiamo pranzato in questo locale alle pendici del centro. Il proprietario del locale molto simpatico. Cibo genuino e di ottima qualità. Da provare se si passa da questo borgo delizioso.

26/09/2024: What a lovely time! We had read reviews on Villa Carla and called asking about a cooking class for dinner. The class, the food, the hospitality were all outstanding and lots of fun! Classes are only during the shoulder seasons when they aren’t so busy…we understand why! And the view at sunset is breathtaking.

01/09/2024: Locale molto gradevole alla vista in collina con bella terrazza e splendida vista Apparecchiatura curata Cibi molto buoni e finalmente alternativi a quelli che vengono proposti sull’isola dalla maggior parte dei ristoranti Piatti curati e cibo di giusta quantità Molto scorretta l’assenza del menù scritto e della carta dei vini. Per questo non ho dato il massimo

06/01/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale , trovato un po' per caso, per l'Epifania. Sicuramente torneremo quando possibile, sia per la qualità che per la quantità che per la gentilezza e generosità del proprietario. Un'esperienza consigliatissima da ripetere

18/03/2025: What a disappointment. Deplorable welcome, the servers seem depressed, or maybe they're taxed for smiling or looking at customers when they speak to them?! Barely a hello and not even a goodbye after paying. Having booked for the evening, we weren't able to enjoy the view, but the food was still good. It will remain a disappointment; we won't be returning and won't advertise it.

29/10/2024: Excellent restaurant, top-notch, family-friendly service. Just the small downside that it is not possible to have a food and wine pairing. Which is normal for 9 services. The sardine and fennel pasta was for me the pinnacle of what I have tasted. And I wanted to thank them for the memories this dish brought back to me.

26/10/2024: The grounds were beautiful and spa options were excellent. Unfortunately, the massage therapist clearly didn't have a clue what she was doing and untrained.

26/02/2025: Posto eccellente con una bellissima visuale sul duomo del paese personale cordiale e gentile disposti ad accontentare ogni singola richiesta, titolare molto presente e premurosa il locale è molto accogliente ambiente familiare e tranquillo specialmente se si cerca un posto dove rilassarsi a bere qualcosa NOTA: punto forte aperitivo/apericena ricco di cibo tutto fresco

20/02/2025: We consumed two croissants and two hot coffees (which were served cold), after which we had to use the bathroom: WE ARE DISGUSTED. Commercial business to be completely renovated!!! I don't think we'll set foot there again. TO CLOSE!!!
