I migliori ristoranti in Catania

31/07/2025: A somewhat negative experience. I'll start by saying that the seats where we ate outside at the wooden tables were really dirty; we cleaned them ourselves. The service was a bit disappointing; the place is undoubtedly cheap, but I didn't like that everything brought to our table, except the main course, was served on serving trays. I mean, it's not a buffet, so I expected them to bring us the various appetizers and first courses directly, or for the first courses to be served at the table in a baking dish. This point, let's say, is more subjective; in fact, it doesn't affect my rating. Lastly, the dishes were all tasteless, probably all frozen fish, at least that's what it tasted like to me. I liked the caponata because it was flavorful, but I suspect they used the sour-spicy sauce, which clearly has a strong, predominant flavor. I certainly don't doubt that many places use frozen fish, but they certainly cook it better, bringing out the flavours of the fish. I didn't find this here, and I hope that my constructive criticism can improve this somewhat hidden place.

07/08/2025: Terrifying, after a stressful day at work, I just wanted my menu, but when I ordered from the McDrive machine, the rude operator, who disguised everything with a banal "sorry," wouldn't let me pay with cards and "forced" me to pay full price for the menu since I had burned the offer. She also psychologically manipulated me, saying that it was I who didn't hear that card payments were not possible. Then, when I entered the restaurant, I was threateningly asked by security to move my car, as it didn't fit in the white lines. ADDING INJURY TO INJURY

06/08/2025: Horrible. At the drive-thru, the girl didn't answer when we arrived. We had to wait at least 5 minutes for a response. When she did answer, she disappeared again after a while. When I tried to call her, she yelled, "You don't have to yell. I'm doing other things." But if she's at the drive-thru to take orders, shouldn't that be all she's doing? Then we had to wait forever for our food, and they couldn't even get one order right because they filled us with mayonnaise without even asking for any, even PAYING FOR IT. Horrible experience. I'll never go there again. 🥰

20/07/2025: Unfortunately, the selection wasn't extensive, but there was something for everyone. The food is very fatty and oily, and not particularly tasty, even by all-you-can-eat standards.

04/06/2025: Sono venuto in questa trattoria prenotata da amici. Il locale fa servizio con menù fisso a 20€ dove portano tantissimi piatti di antipasti, poi a scelta un secondo e per finire caffè/ sorbetto o amaro. Siamo persone che mangiano di tutto ma alcuni piatti a nostro avviso erano poco buoni tipo la mozzarella (la lascerei per i ristoranti campani!), la parmigiana (non si può sbagliare!), i formaggi (abbondanti ma poco buoni, meglio poco e di buona qualità).

29/05/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale per caso su google maps. Ci fermiamo e ci propongono il loro menù fisso a 20€ che comprende antipasti, secondo, bibite e sorbetto finale. Tutto molto buono e tipicamente siciliano Personale altamente qualificato e gentile. Ci torneremo sicuramente nelle prossime permanenze a Catania.

11/07/2025: Ho ordinato due pizze, una margherita con patate e una focaccia vegana. Un incubo. La pizza margherita aveva una mozzarella scadentissima, gusto pessimo al massimo nauseante. La focaccia vegana condita stile pizza pomodorino rucola guacamola e noci...... Sapeva di nulla. Niente uno schifo, cambiate mestiere e carattere, troppo maleducati. 20 euro una. Margherita con patate e un mini focaccia da schifo. E tre miseri tovaglioli. Era un asporto. Cambiate mestiere. Capisco perche il locale i cessi è affollato e da voi e quasi sempre vuoto. Chiudete che é meglio. Lo. Dice uno che di pizze e lievitati se ne intende parecchio.

12/07/2025: This evening I had a simple Margherita... terrible experience: A little over an hour later I felt sick. I don't recommend this pizzeria.

13/07/2025: Tonight we're having brioche granitas. It's not our first time there, and we've usually had a great time, even for important events. But tonight (and I can confirm this has been true for a few weeks now), they sold us the brioche that was at least a few days old, reheated, dry underneath, and stringy, as they say here in Catania. The granita had no discernible flavors other than a stale taste.

12/07/2025: Miglior location a Catania e provincia dove si cena e si balla, rapporto qualità prezzo ottimale, servizio veloce, professionale e cordiale, pista e musica eccellente sia all'aperto che in sala, pizza di qualità e possibilità di variare anche con altre pietanze, sono compresi assaggio di primi, patatine e d'estate granite e brioche, il fiore all'occhiello le graffe a fine serata. Tutto questo grazie a Mario e Silvana l'essenza del locale.

31/07/2025: We tried this place for a new experience; I love reviewing, so here I am. I have to admit, one of the less comfortable things is the atmosphere. Even with the added decorations, the restaurant is still right next to the station. Despite this, the trains aren't noisy, so it's easy to talk. In the background, there was various types of music, not too loud. I recommend sitting at the back tables, but not too loud, for those of us who don't want the music blasting in our ears. Speaking of the food, it certainly wasn't gourmet, obviously, but it was definitely good. We had a pizza and a peppered mussel dish, especially the peppered one. No closed mussels, no empty mussels, for a price of €9. The pizza, a bit like the others, exceeded my expectations. Finally, I wish it was good, but not as good as other places. In total, for two people, we spent €27, including the above items and some chips, a Messina beer, one of the most expensive, and a Coke. For me, 4 stars are more than deserved.
