30/03/2026: Recommended to me by a friend, I'd like to recommend it to anyone reading this. I ordered a Black Forest cake that evening for lunch the next day: it was a success. The cake won everyone over: balanced in its sweetness (which is no small thing), reasonably priced, and above all, chocolaty, just as I requested. The lady and young woman who welcomed me were very friendly and helpful in giving me suggestions.

13/04/2026: Riposto, CT. Via Cristoforo Colombo, 19. Deli with self-service and takeout. We ordered rotisserie chicken and side dishes. But there's plenty to choose from: lasagna, baked pasta, busiate alla norma, fish and meat, arancini with tomato sauce, pizza by the slice, pizza made to order, etc. The place is simple and informal, with tables both inside and outside on the sidewalk. A family atmosphere and reasonable prices.

22/02/2026: We visited this restaurant for lunch on February 20, 2026, driven by expectations that, unfortunately, were completely unmet. The overall experience was profoundly disappointing, to the point that we have categorically ruled out returning. The service was characterized by a barely excusable sloppiness: disorganized waiting times, poor customer service, and a lack of logical coherence in the presentation of the dishes. The quality of the dishes was modest; in particular, the meat—the centerpiece of the €25 Sunday set menu—was served cold, an unacceptable circumstance from both a gastronomic and professional perspective. The menu also included two tastings of first courses, which, according to the restaurant's approach, should have been served after the main course. However, only one was served, omitting the second tasting entirely without any explanation. Despite our reporting of the poor service, the final bill included the full cost of both menus, without any adjustment or gesture of attention to the customer. The overall impression is one of inexperienced management, with staff clearly lacking adequate training in the restaurant industry. In light of the above, we cannot recommend this establishment in any way.

Dolfin is short for Dolceria Finocchiaro, named after its founder, Santo Finocchiaro, who began producing sweets and candies in Giarre in 1914. It is known throughout Italy for its famous Polaretti popsicles. It produces chocolate sweets for the holidays and, during the holiday season, also Easter eggs.

15/03/2026: 1 star for me. I've been looking for a gluten-free pastry shop and it came up several times. Unfortunately, there's nothing.

09/12/2025: It's wonderful to find a pastry shop open at 5:00 AM on a holiday! The baristas are friendly and professional. The desserts are excellent. The savory pastries are delicious, freshly baked around 6:00 AM. The place is clean, bright, welcoming, and spacious.

16/03/2026: The cookies are very tasty, although they didn't have much flavor, just concentrated sugar syrup. We wanted to sit down and eat a cookie, when I asked for one, they handed me the mousse cookies one by one on a napkin. I asked for a plate to go with it, but they just pointed me to sit down. It was very difficult to find a plastic plate and a fork for the two of us for the three cookies. The staff was not nice either, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The goodness of the pizza in the true sense of the word... moreover consumed in the dining room which I must say is very nice and clean...we'll see you again soon with a nice group that I'll bring...🥰

18/10/2025: This is my first time ordering from this pizzeria. On Saturday, October 18th, I ordered at 7:10 PM and the pizzas arrived at 8:15 PM, right on time. A zucchini and onion pizza, a Margherita pizza, and a Nutella pizza (it tasted like an original Ferrero pizza). The dough was light and easy to digest, the pizzas were flavorful and well-topped. In the zucchini and onion pizza, the zucchini were freshly fried the same day, while the onion was previously pan-fried, and very good. My sincerest compliments. Well done, keep up the good work. Advice: Don't respond aggressively to negative reviews anymore, because you give the impression that you're not professionals, whereas I've seen that you're professionals.
