27/09/2025: Good morning, today after years I went to the Magri bar on the viale, I have to say that I was disappointed, to bring two granitas and two breakfasts the girl made 4 trips, not to mention the wrong taste of the granita and one of the two brioches that arrived late, the granita inedible, the pistachio that tasted of nothing, rude and absent staff, everyone annoyed, the only smiler was the girl at the cashier with glasses, never again!

16/11/2025: Having been there several times, I can only speak highly of it... The small but welcoming atmosphere has several strong points. I'd start with the food: at lunch, you can enjoy dishes you wouldn't normally find in a rotisserie because they're more home-style, and at dinner, the pizzas are delicious, with a special focus on Sicilian dishes, as tradition dictates. All using high-quality ingredients at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive to customer needs. I highly recommend it!
14/08/2025: Mystery?!? I bought two takeout pizzas, one for €5.50 and the other for €7.50. I wonder why I paid €16.50 instead of €13?
I recommend keeping your eyes peeled because it's not the first time this has happened to me!
P.S. No, when I realized something wasn't right, I didn't go back. I preferred to share the experience!

12/09/2025: I spent some unforgettable years at this café. Every morning—and I mean every morning—before school, it was my regular stop, along with so many kids from other schools and mine. I'll never forget the piping hot cappuccino and the walnut braid. Best wishes to Mr. Vasta, who sadly won't remember me.

Pizza was also not good the dough is very thick, like eat lavash with a filling .
The price does not match the quality!
05/09/2025: In my entire life here in Catania I drank the worst mojito in my life, the bartender simply does not know the original taste of cocktails.
When I asked the waiter to remake the cocktail, the bartender's reaction was like something is not to my liking, let them move on. Bartender if you are reading this comment please go to bartender school and learn how to make cocktails 🙏
The pizza for 12€ with spicy sausages turned out to be not spicy at all and was not worth even half the price

26/08/2025: This is my first time at this café! I had a lovely hot braided bun for breakfast and a good coffee. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend it!
12/07/2025: A great bar, with an outdoor area that allows for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere despite being in a busy area, yet packed with shops, Vicerè Park, and the large Friday market.
The staff is always friendly and polite, and the granita and brioche con tuppo are delicious!

17/08/2025: We stopped for ice cream on the way. It's a simple place, but the quality is excellent. The pistachio ice cream and zuppa inglese were extraordinary. The lady was very kind, and what can I say about the price? It was great. We'll definitely be back!
14/08/2025: We got a kilo of ice cream from their van because they were cleaning the shop after work (so we were told), and it was absolutely disgusting! It tasted like a mix of granita and ice cream, it wasn't fresh at all, it had been stirred who knows how many times... for €15 a kilo, you can get better!

15/10/2025: Good, almost decent, but not exceptional.
It offers reasonably priced meals, but the quality of the menu is similar to that of a good company cafeteria. The deli is well-made. The pastries are decidedly good. The staff is quite courteous and professional. The indoor dining room has terrible acoustics: it's too noisy. The outdoor spaces are better, especially in the summer, when they make a good granita. The availability of parking spaces is definitely a plus: you rarely run out of space.
12/10/2025: Three large breakfasts and two small takeaways: very poor in size, quantity of filling, and quality. However, they know how to charge well. I won't be returning.

02/11/2025: I've been buying traditional truffles all my life. They used to be made with fresh cream, now they're made with long-life cream, and I paid for them as if the cream were fresh.
01/09/2025: A historic and excellent bar, with good coffee, delicious desserts, pizzas, and a ready-made hot food menu. I recommend it.

We stopped by this local spot without any expectations — just a spontaneous break during our travels through Sicily. To our surprise, we were treated to an incredibly delicious, homemade meal. Everything was fresh, simple, and full of flavor, clearly prepared with love and care. A hidden gem for anyone seeking authentic Sicilian hospitality and cooking.
12/10/2025: I give 4 stars because the pizza with mortadella and pistachio was not visible and the pistachio pesto was not fresh, but otherwise everything was delicious and the staff was very kind.

09/09/2025: Enjoying the hot food, granita, ice cream, and various pastries in this taste laboratory, which isn't a bar, is an almost unique experience. Paolo uses only high-quality, seasonal ingredients. He combines his father's tradition with his art of reinventing and enriching typical Sicilian products, in addition to the artisanal production of pandoro, panettone, colomba, and various cakes. I would also add the friendliness, politeness, and professionalism of the father and son owners.
25/06/2025: If you want to find the highest quality, you have to go to Bar Doge in Acireale.
The zeppole, desserts, hot food, all prepared with top quality ingredients.
The owner, Paolo always welcomes you with a smile and manages to entertain customers with joy and spontaneity and an aspect not to be overlooked, you will always find excellent music.
I recommend it to everyone
