Yesterday I bought some hot food from Santoro for my father-in-law. Pizzetta, cipollina, and Bombetta, and arancini were good, though the pastry was a bit less so than the pâté. The only thing I'd like to point out, not out of spite but because it's right to be more careful, is that we found a hair in the middle of the arancini dough...

A simple and charming café without too many pretensions. Lately, however, the quality has dropped a bit. I recently had a granita with a brioche. I can say the granita was quite good (chocolate and almond), but the brioche, even though it was warm, was practically raw! Not long ago, I had a chocolate roll. They also made this one much better. The cream wasn't great, and it lacked that hint of saltiness. I hope the products improve and return to how they once were, especially since it was a café that churned out excellent products.

02/06/2026: What a discovery! Yesterday I was in Catania, and for the first time, I found this fabulous bakery. I tried a wide range of rustici, and what can I say but each one was better than the last: the arancini with ragù was delicious, the pistachio one was fantastic, and the spinach one was equally delicious. The delicate onion, and the pidone with a delicious tuma and anchovy filling! To finish, there were also two very soft and fragrant graffe! The guy who served us was very kind and truly attentive to us! I will definitely be back, 5 stars well deserved!
02/06/2026: During our vacation we tried many different Shops in Catania to find the best Arranchini - and this was the best place! Fresh, warm, delicious and a fair price. Especially the Ragout and Burra are amazing.
