08/10/2025: We visited a few Sicilian restaurants in Palermo and on the southwestern part of the island. We found Tratorria la Lucciola based on Google reviews. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't live up to the reviews. We ordered grilled tuna with salad and grilled vegetables, veal, and spaghetti ragu. The grilled tuna was served cold. The salad was just arugula, and the grilled vegetables were drenched in oil and also cold. The fish slices were about 1.5 cm thick. The veal was sliced ​​(sic) and bore no resemblance to the photos of the food in the restaurant. Finally, the ragu—instead of al dente pasta with toppings—was served as a runny mess. The dishes tasted like they had been reheated instead of prepared before the meal. This is definitely the worst restaurant we've ever been to.

07/10/2025: Unfortunately, this is the worst restaurant in Sicily. I don't know where the reviews above 4 come from. The food is an absolute disaster! The tuna was freezing, and the grilled vegetables were completely cold, straight from the fridge.

04/10/2025: His name (the owner) is Alessio and he truly knows how to welcome guests, very kind and hospitable. The coffee is very good and the ice cream too. I forgot, we paid one euro for a coffee sitting at the table. Thanks Alessio, see you next time.

02/10/2025: A very beautiful place on the sea, with ample and convenient parking with access from the main road. The food and wines are quality, though the desserts, I'd say, are less so. We returned after three days.

18/08/2025: Sunday afternoon at 5pm we couldn't find any restaurants open and then saw this pizza place. The chef was very friendly and helpful, explained that local kids had torn the menu in half. Anyway 2 great Pizzas and 2 ice teas was €13. He told us we could sit at the tables in the bar opposite and take the box of napkins with us. Great stuff.

16/07/2025: Very helpful bar. Very cool inside (July) and well-ventilated outside. Excellent food and well-stocked drinks. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

22/06/2025: The bar has an outdoor smoking area and a porch area. It is opposite the hydrofoil ticket office, so it can be busy, and the counter area is narrow. Friendly staff, the selection of pastries for breakfast, and the hot food is very wide.

01/10/2025: This restaurant has become a must-see for us. For the quality of its regional products and the flavors of yesteryear. The macaroni, a typical Calabrian dish, and the pipi and olives (dried peppers fried in a pan) remind me of the dishes my grandmothers used to make. Highly recommended. The welcome, the owners Roberto and his wife And their daughter Giada. The future is assured. I'll be back next month. Yet another trip to Calabria.

07/08/2025: We stayed at Gabbiano Azzurro and had a truly wonderful time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. We started with the house appetizer, rich and tasty, followed by the busiate pasta with grouper, which was spectacular. For our main course, we had sea bream, incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. To top it off, we had the "bacio pantesco": one of the best desserts we've had on the island, made just right. Fast service, excellent food, and more than fair prices for such a seafood dinner. If we return to Pantelleria, a stop here will be a must.

17/09/2025: The restaurant has many tablecloths outside, in a piazza that creates an elegant and refined setting. The dishes are high-quality. The staff is very helpful and friendly and can offer excellent recommendations. I personally really enjoyed the Lighea white wine, recommended by the staff. Highly recommended.

05/10/2025: The pizza was really good, well-cooked, and made with quality ingredients. Despite it being a Saturday night, the place wasn't crowded, creating a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying dinner without too much noise or commotion. Another plus is definitely the prices, which are very low compared to average, especially considering the quality of the food and service.
