20/07/2025: Das Essen wurde uns sehr empfohlen. Und so war es auch: sehr lecker und schmackhaft. Auch das Gemüse zum Fisch war raffiniert abgeschmeckt. Der Thunfisch kam auch mit der von mir gewünschten Garstufe. Sehr lecker. Einfach die Atmosphäre an diesem Abend hat uns nicht überzeugt, was hoffentlich eine Ausnahme sein möge.

09/07/2025: Haben sehr lecker zu Mittag gegessen. Vor- und Hauptspeise waren sehr gut. Dazu eine gute Flasche Weißwein. Service ebenfalls gut.

09/06/2025: I never write reviews but ended up so mad after eating here that I had to. The worst food ever, so less and tasted like nothing. Please don’t waste your money here ! Oh and expect the waiter to have a big attitude and treat you like he is doing you a favour.

09/06/2025: Horrible, the most fake restaurant I‘ve been to 😂 „Bowl“ was literally just plain lettuce with a few cold, precooked beef slices thrown on top, tasting like absolutely nothing. „Avo Toast“ had no avo 😂 just some weird green paste and a wobbly egg, everything unseasoned. The „fruit waffle“ was dry and old and with a cheap, obviously way too sweet sauce all over it. To the owner, if you read this, please stop this nonsense.

13/07/2025: Discovered by the 2025 Rough Guide, it was a great experience, good pizza, a very friendly waitress, and very attentive to us. A neighborhood pizzeria, where you can eat in. It's definitely worth the detour. We'll be back.

23/04/2025: Pleasant discovery in Macomer! We ate at this pizzeria and were really satisfied. The pizza is excellent: light dough, well cooked and quality ingredients. The staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. The Sardo tronchetto is absolutely worth trying, one of their specialties that won us over: authentic and perfectly balanced flavours. The place is simple, but genuine, with a family and relaxed atmosphere. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. Advised!

29/06/2025: I returned after many years but nothing has changed; evidently the place appeals to a certain type of clientele that prefers quantity to quality. Unfortunately the quality of the food, which is certainly adequate for the price requested, is absolutely not sufficient for my standards. The kind and efficient waitresses, perhaps can make up for the lack of professionalism, but certainly cannot make up for the quality of the food. I think it will be several years again before I will want to try their cuisine again.

07/06/2025: Che dire... I gelati artigianali sono una vera delizia, ma non è tutto: ci sono anche crepes, waffle, taglieri e ottimi drink. Vado spesso con i miei amici e ormai ci sentiamo come a casa. Il personale è sempre amichevole, cordiale e disponibile. Un locale accogliente dove trascorrere momenti piacevoli. Stra consigliato a tutti!

28/05/2025: Shortly after arriving in Sardinia, a kind stranger (kinder than I first realised) advised me to eat at this restaurant only, and none other. As a Scot of Highland origin, I have a strong streak of cynicism when confronted with this sort of advice from strangers; my travels over fifty years have generally confirmed that a commission may be involved, payable to the provider of the advice. In this case, some of the reviews seemed to confirm my reluctance to take the advice at face value. I have eaten at some truly terrible establishments – not least, I am sorry to say, in Scotland – with better reviews than those here. In fact, the advice to eat at Ristorante da Silvio turned out to be entirely altruistic. After eating at a couple of other restaurants in San Teodoro, notable for their sea views, questionable service and high-priced tourist menus, we parked outside da Silvio on a whim, to take a simple lunch, and entered a new world of pleasure. We have eaten there since, and we will return only to San Teodoro, and only because Silvio is there. If ever he closes up shop, we shall have to find another town without the plethora of tourist traps that now plague what was clearly once a beautiful, quiet Mediterranean town. Silvio is, like the majority of true Sardinians, a relatively taciturn, understated gentleman who takes a profound pride in his offering. He goes to market early to find the best fish and produce. He understands pasta, a mystery to those from the North. He offers only one red wine by the glass – I have no idea what it is called – but it is local and it is some of the best wine I have ever tasted by the glass. When Silvio suggests a dish, we have learned to accept the recommendation without demur, and so we have discovered ravioli without equal, fish cooked to perfection, charming desserts; in short, reasonably priced food that has left us feeling well and contented and pleased to be in good company, just pleased really. I am no friend to hyperbole, so I will just add, as an aside, that we wondered why Silvio does not have a Michelin star. It is simple: he is determined to continue providing pizza in the evenings for the local population who, rightly, eat his pizza out of preference. Michelin does not like this; poor Michelin – are you really so shallow? (By the way, Silvio refuses to serve pizza for lunch because he considers it too heavy for anyone wishing to survive the afternoon heat.) I have noticed that a lot of the negative reviews focus on the service. I state clearly here: we have found the service to be nothing less than expert and courteous, and it becomes positively charming on the second visit. Perhaps those who complain might consider whether they too are courteous – I have found that courtesy works best on a two-way street.

26/05/2025: Ottima esperienza Torniamo spesso in questo ristorante ed ogni volta mi sembra di essere a casa con Silvio ( il titolare). Abbiamo ormai un rapporto di amicizia e quando ci sediamo nel suo ristorante ci consiglia sempre i piatti migliori con prodotti di stagione … consiglio vivamente i bocconi di mare (lumache di mare) che non si trovano spesso e di cui io ne vado ghiotto e che ogni volta che sono disponibili Silvio mi propone
