19/10/2025: Excellent experience. I found this trattoria by chance, passing through on a Sunday outing, and I think I was truly lucky. A warm and courteous welcome, a simple, clean, and comfortable atmosphere. As soon as we sat down, we felt like we were at an aunt's house for Sunday lunch—a wonderful feeling of sincerity and care. The dishes represent local tradition, with excellent ingredients and truly exquisite homemade preparations. The portions are generous and more than satisfying. I recommend the selection of appetizers, with a special focus on the cheeses and flavored olives. Affordable prices. I really hope to return!

11/05/2025: Never again food of dubious quality... exaggerated prices based on the portions... we ordered sweet potato fries... they arrived in a milk bowl already cold as well as the classic French fries also cold served in a classic cup bowl that I use at home for breakfast. We were six adults, barely enough for 4! People paid a whopping 8 euros... fried meatballs with a terrible taste seemed already fried and then reheated... just two each paid 8 euros! From the menu ordered a 250g hamburger... I received a classic hamburger lettuce bun cooked very badly, in my opinion already pre-cooked and then finished cooking it at a later time including a brioche bun of poor quality (the menu does not mention the bun!!) paid a whopping 15 euros... water and cream not by the liter paid 3 euros... a friend of mine then ordered a pizza that arrived the wrong pizza, apologizing, they changed it and came back after 1 minute with the same modified cold pizza... just like my other friend ordered a roast Mixed food arrived cold on cold lava stone that they only use for decoration... They deducted the mixed roast from the bill, apologizing for what happened for a total of over 170 euros. Luckily we didn't pay for the roast, otherwise how much would the bill have been? Over 200 for eating two cold chips, the wrong cold pizza, and a sandwich that wasn't mentioned on the menu... of terrible quality... the only decent thing perhaps is the Raffo beer they say is on tap... never again!! Aaa I forgot 3 euros for a cover charge per person for having a table without a tablecloth!!!

The chef herself came out to ask how the food it and it was really good! The homemade pasta with tomatoe sauce - wow! A simple dish but so flavorful and amazing!

18/11/2025: Accidentally, but very well. A bit by accident, while looking for an open place in the "dying" historic center of Taranto, we came across this restaurant. The service was professional, though perhaps a bit surprised by us tourists, as there were only Italians around, probably locals. Great, if a bit brusque. But I still recommend it!

09/11/2025: It's always a pleasure to go for dinner or Sunday lunch at Le Vecchie Cantine, a romantic and enchanting place. Beautiful location, excellent food, top-notch wood-fired pizzas, and a warm welcome from the owner, Loredana. I recommend everyone to go with friends, alone, or for a romantic dinner.

The place is welcoming, well-kept, and clean, with an atmosphere that combines elegance and simplicity. The impeccable service made the evening even more enjoyable, always attentive but never intrusive. For my first review, I always choose the Pizza Napoli: it's the most honest test to evaluate the dough, cooking, and basic ingredients. And here it was a triumph—perfect dough, light and flavorful, cooked strictly in a wood-fired oven, as is rarely the case these days. Then I tried the Pizza Autunno, a gourmet offering that showcases the pizza chef's creativity and the quality of the ingredients. A sincere and affectionate thank you to the very kind Loredana, our attentive and cheerful hostess, and a huge compliment to pizza chef Roberto, a true master of dough and flavor. Among the appetizers, the caponata and fried cod are unparalleled—dishes that exude tradition and a love of authentic cuisine. The desserts are also excellent, rounding out the meal with just the right amount of sweetness. The price is perfectly proportionate to the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience: a place that never disappoints, and which will become a go-to for us, even for special occasions. A restaurant where we always return with a smile and the desire to enjoy the pleasure of good food once again.

18/08/2025: Rude staff; I had to insist on getting a panzerotto that was completely raw inside exchanged. The cashier started saying I'd already started eating it and that she needed to check. Evidently, the 20 cents of raw ingredients are more important than the satisfaction of a customer who has purchased at least 15 times over the years and will now never return.

Great pizza - the crust was just perfect, a bit on the crunchy side. Takeaway option available. They're open also off season, and usually busy with the locals. A top pick in Marina di Ginosa, if you're looking for an authentic culinary experience.
