25/10/2025: This is the first time I've given only one star. I asked for a buffalo mozzarella, but I received a dull Margherita with very little mozzarella (definitely not buffalo mozzarella!) and a creamy sauce that tasted like whipped cream. A total disappointment!

Keep them in mind for the summer... because this year they organized two evenings with salsa music and a Cuban DJ, where they sold out. Tables along the sidewalk, inside the dining room, and in the outdoor gazebo... and most people were dancing... what a blast... finding a place like this in the heart of Taranto?... It's unique... ask! The wait for a table... depends on the time of year, the evening, etc. Personal advice: book.

31/08/2025: The pastry selection is limited, although the t. di monaca pastries are very good. Service isn't fast, but it's friendly enough. The coffee is adequate. Spacious and convenient private parking is available nearby.

13/10/2025: I've known this place for about thirty years, celebrating birthdays, events, and even just lunches and dinners with friends. Let's start with the beautiful, large dining room, filled with work tools hanging on every wall—a very rustic place indeed. It starts with an endless appetizer menu, with 18 courses of hot and cold dishes, followed by delicious first and second courses with generous portions. There's also an oven, and in the evenings, they also serve a delicious pizza. I recommend trying it if you're new to the place, because it's definitely worth it.

26/09/2025: It was Saturday, and the table was reserved for 8:30 PM. At 10 PM, we still hadn't ordered or eaten ANYTHING. A large, busy restaurant, with four people serving in two rooms (two waiters and two members of the owners' family, of course...). I'd rather not comment further.

01/11/2025: A couple of nights ago, we went to eat at this place with great enthusiasm because we'd been wanting to for a while! We had a terrible experience, the food was lousy, and we ended up with a piece of meat that was rotten and smelly. We reported it to the waitress, who took the dish away for the chef to check, but then it magically disappeared. Perhaps the owner showed up to apologize, explaining her reasons, but obviously, despite the major inconvenience, it was added to our bill as if nothing had happened. I don't want to go on too long—there would be so much to write—but I advise the people who run this place that rotten meat should be thrown away, not cooked, and then seasoned with spices and sauces, since I even let my girls try it. It was obviously a huge DISAPPOINTMENT; the next day I had serious stomach problems, and we'll never go back. I haven't reported it to the relevant authorities because I don't like hurting people, but I hope this review doesn't cause such things to happen again.

29/10/2025: We celebrated my 40th birthday at this place. The staff was super friendly and impeccable, the food was excellent, the drinks were plentiful, and the bar service was top-notch...we'll definitely be back.

15/10/2025: We returned to Negroamaro again this year, and it proved to be an excellent choice. The cuisine is truly excellent, and the restaurant lends itself perfectly to any occasion: from a romantic dinner to a birthday party or a simple evening with friends. For us, it's a must-visit for a special family dinner. The appetizers, both seafood and meat, are plentiful, varied, and of excellent quality—a true gastronomic journey. On the advice of Mimmo, always attentive, we enjoyed a special dish: linguine alla Baia, which is both a first course and a second course: an explosion of perfectly balanced seafood flavors. I've attached a photo to give you an idea, but it doesn't do the dish justice. A family-run restaurant highly recommended for those seeking excellent cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere.

19/11/2025: I had ordered pistachio chicken strips, but what arrived looked completely different: boiled chicken, very pale, practically as white as the walls in my room, drowned in water and oil. No flavor, no seasoning, nothing that even remotely resembled the dish I'd ordered. I pointed out the problem and asked for it to be remade from scratch, as one would expect. But no: they simply emptied the plate, topped the same strips with pistachios, and put everything back in the same pan, without even changing the base. It was basically a fake "second preparation." In the end, I ate them only because I was hungry, but the quality and care were truly embarrassing. Honestly, a place with a consistently positive culinary history that ends up serving such bland dishes and then "fixing" them on the fly instead of remaking them as requested was particularly disappointing.
