30/08/2025: Friendly atmosphere, very kind and always smiling staff, really good food and a special mention for the raw fish.
26/08/2025: Initially, they told us we needed to reserve, but then they kindly gave us a table on the outdoor terrace. We had a lovely evening at dinner, and I can definitely say the dishes were excellent. My wife and I had spaghetti with squid ink and shrimp tartare with orange slices...a delicacy...then a tuna steak with arugula and cherry tomatoes, a real treat, all accompanied by an excellent white wine and a dessert to finish. The price is a little higher than average, but considering it's a tourist destination, that's understandable...a couple will spend between €50-60.
The location is very central in the historic center, and the staff is very kind and friendly.
I highly recommend it 😉 🤙🏼

13/03/2026: Unprecedented experience: upon arrival, almost annoyed welcome, they gave us the menu and shortly after asked us if we were ready but our answer was no, despite this shortly after, pressure at the table to take the order.... Ok we ordered a braised beef and a rigatoni with fried eggplant and cream of caciocavallo..... Well, we received a meat in broth and a pasta stuck together excessively al dente and instead of caciocavallo there was cooking cream. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

07/12/2025: Il Caratino presents itself as a pleasant meeting place, thanks in large part to its location: the sea view is the only real highlight, creating a relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant view.
Otherwise, however, everything remains utterly mediocre. The cuisine isn't surprising; the dishes are ordinary and lacking in character, and the service leaves little to be desired. This is a place that could offer much more, but it's simply "passable."
In short: a good place to meet and enjoy the view, but not for those seeking quality or a true gastronomic experience.

These issues weren't present at the old location; they're inaccurate with orders; I've had to return orders several times due to incorrect orders. They prefer to clear and clean empty tables rather than take orders from people waiting 20-30 minutes. High prices.

27/12/2025: What can I say... a truly fantastic experience! We visited this restaurant in December, and despite the season, it was completely packed: that alone speaks for itself. The welcome was warm and professional, the place was very well-kept and pleasant, but the real highlight was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we tried was excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and great attention to detail.
The real highlight of the evening? The fusilloni with tuna and eggplant sauce: something indescribable, PHOTOTONIC, a must-try! And can we mention the fried fish? Light, crispy, and incredibly flavorful. A restaurant that wins you over in every way and is truly worth a visit. Highly recommended.

The location was good, but the service and the "owner" were rude.
28/08/2025: Upon arrival, we received an incredibly warm welcome and were allowed to check into our room early.
The room is very simple and quite dated, and the bed linens were fresh, but there were still visible signs of dirt. The view, however, is fantastic. The parking lot is unfortunately a 10-minute walk away, but it's okay. The breakfast was delicious.
