11/06/2025: A pleasant discovery in the center of Ceglie Messapica Passing through the land of the Messapians to meet some friends, we were invited to this tavern and we were thrilled. The location is enchanting: a historic building with barrel vaults, furnished with vintage copper pans and ladles, which immediately evoke the flavors and traditions of the past. The staff is courteous and attentive, always ready to accommodate every request. The fish is fresh and the raw seafood is really good. Both the appetizers and the main courses have generous portions, perfect for those who love to eat with taste. Among the dishes that impressed us the most, the fava bean puree with chicory stands out - a classic from Puglia, authentic and full of flavors that bring to mind the stories of our grandparents. The quality of the raw materials is excellent: from the mozzarella to the capocollo of Martina Franca, everything is taken care of in detail. Also not to be missed is the fish on the trolley, selected with experience. Special thanks to Salvatore and Graziana for letting us discover this little gem. It certainly won't be a goodbye, but a see you later!

26/05/2025: I was there for a birthday and the birthday boy had opted for a fixed menu including appetizers, a first course and a second course. Nothing special about the appetizers as we ate the usual things we are used to such as anchovies, bread croutons, cold cuts with cheeses, pizza dough fritters etc.. if you are looking for something different from the usual appetizers this is not the right place. The first courses did not excite anyone and there were 12 of us at the table, average for what you can find everywhere while the meat was good and someone asked for seconds. The owner who at the end of the service asked the birthday boy to leave a tip to the waiters was not very appropriate PS regarding the owner's response. I don't think I said I didn't like your menu in fact I gave 4 out of 5 for the food and also for the service as well as the overall review. I don't allow myself to judge the events between you and the birthday boy because I wasn't there

12/05/2025: THE STARTER IS WORTH IT ALL We went here as a family for Easter Monday lunch and it must be said: what a lunch! The appetizer alone is worth the whole experience, both for abundance and flavor. We are talking about an almost infinite series of courses with typical preparations of local cuisine with an authentic and unmistakable taste. From strong ricotta to meatballs, to fried foods and mussels au gratin, simple but one leads to another. It's a bit of a shame for the first courses, not bad on the base, but all overcooked and the seasonings are a little loose and very garlicky, otherwise we would be on a 5 star rating. But the service was impeccable. Courtesy, great availability and speed in serving dishes, however all freshly prepared with a full room. The environment is small, but very typical and welcoming. Prices absolutely more than fair.

17/06/2025: Polite and professional staff, good products and good prices. The current pizza chef (maybe the owner) is not as good as the previous one in my opinion. Lately he has been churning out overcooked pizzas, almost burnt and the dough is no longer the same. Personal opinion, but also acquaintances who frequent this pizzeria think the same as me. This is why I changed pizzeria.

28/06/2025: We had a great time at this place, the food was delicious, we sat at a table by the window with a view of the sea, I think the ideal thing is not to arrive at the lunch rush hour, we arrived at 3:00 pm and we didn't wait, there were already few people.

I particularly liked it at lunch, indoors, in this room with a sea view on every side: I had a pasta with mussels that was definitely good. For dinner instead we had dinner on the terrace, a so-so location (full of insects). Very cheap both times

05/06/2025: Aside from some surreal reviews from functionally illiterate "keyboard warriors" that I read, as someone who travels a lot but was "born" nearby, I say without a shadow of a doubt that this restaurant "EXISTS". And you can tell by the sober but perfectionist attention to detail, by the never predictable friendliness of the staff, by the menu that is astonishing in its balance between tradition and a touch of originality, and finally with prices (in my humble opinion as a "globe trotter"), below average in comparison to the quality and portions. Added value is the possibility of choosing between three different environments (inside, outside and veranda). Well done...I had seconds with my mother, see you for the "third".

18/05/2025: Clean and well-equipped place for large events, very good appetizer with very fresh products, perhaps a little too "pulled" on the quantity, it would be necessary to be a little generous because many dishes were 1 piece per person even if someone often couldn't taste anything. The first course of seafood pasta didn't impress me, a little too sour/acid. All in all I recommend 👍

24/05/2025: It was what I needed and I'm satisfied: a quick lunch, with a sea view... in the company of my mother ☺️ We took two first courses to share and they were really good. The problem was that the cream was so good that I had to eat 1 kg of bread to mop it up...😅 the cream of the scampi and pistachio pacche was the matchmaker!!!

28/04/2025: This place lacks nothing! A wide choice of dishes all prepared with care and quality products. The pizza is very good! Very large spaces (even outside) suitable for hosting large tables. They often organize evenings and events with live music. The staff is super professional: we had lunch with them on Easter Monday (a table of more than 30 people) and they were attentive to every kind of request (allergies, intolerances, personal tastes). Super recommended!
