13/09/2025: The place itself isn't anything extraordinary; there's plenty to eat and drink. We stopped there because it was on our route and a bathroom break was in order. In terms of food and atmosphere, nothing outstanding, but still good. However, in terms of service, there's just one area where it's slightly lacking: the friendliness. We probably came at a bad time, I wouldn't say.

26/08/2025: A very attractive bar with a stylish ambiance in the heart of Gallipoli. It was a bit surprising that no one was there late in the evening. The cocktail selection is diverse, delicious, and attractively served. The tastefully designed outdoor area, with its numerous plants and pleasant atmosphere, is particularly noteworthy. The service was a minor drawback: The staff seemed a bit uncoordinated and at times seemed more preoccupied with their smartphones than with the guests. While this didn't significantly detract from the overall impression, more attentive service would have significantly enhanced the experience. Overall, however, a highly recommended place for stylish drinks in a beautiful setting.

08/08/2025: An unforgettable experience. When else do you get the chance to sleep in a trullo dating back to 1790? Not to mention the rest of the property. Excellent cuisine.

31/07/2025: When service meets passion We came to celebrate my sister's graduation, and were welcomed into a warm, elegant atmosphere, with attention to every detail. The cake table, located in a stunning corner of the villa, was set with a refinement that exceeded all expectations. Mr. Enzo, the restaurant manager, was exceptional: a discreet yet constant presence, capable of combining friendliness and professionalism with a rare naturalness. Always ready to listen, advise, and resolve even the smallest details with kindness and a practical spirit. It's thanks to him that everything flowed so smoothly and with such ease that made the evening truly special. The food was amazing from start to finish. The appetizers were rich and well-balanced: a mix of cured meats, select cheeses, rice, potatoes, and mussels, veal with tuna sauce, and many other delicacies that immediately elevated the dinner. The first courses were all excellent, but the cicatielli allo scoglio stole the show: fresh pasta cooked al dente, topped with a sea of fresh seafood and a fragrant, enveloping sauce. The second courses were equally impressive: beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, authentic flavors, and generous portions. A heartfelt thank you goes to Anna, the chef, who with expert hands and a passionate heart transformed every dish into an experience. Her cuisine speaks of tradition, love for the local area, and attention to detail. And a big round of applause also goes to all the rest of the staff, always kind, smiling, and helpful. A close-knit team that works with care and passion, making every moment enjoyable. An evening we will treasure forever, and we hope to experience again soon.

15/10/2025: After a week in Puglia, this was by far my least favourite meal. I had a pizza which was too salty and generally not very tasty. If you’re looking for pizza in the village then Da Uccio is far superior.

09/10/2025: Best place for coffee aficionados! Moka pot, chemex! And much more. This is a rare gem in italy. The baristas are open for a nice talk and really friendly (italians, am i right?). We need to support these places more so they can grow and expand. Highly recommended!

04/05/2025: It's not just any place... even if it only stops us for lunch. It's a real EXPIRIENCE. Today I tasted (house entrée) the best freshly baked brioche bread in the world with French butter flavored with herbs. A homemade potato crochettone, served with mortadella and cream cheese (excellent!) and a really delicious yellow pumpkin flan as an appetizer, and the agnolotti freshly made by Agnese (the owner and chef of Villa De Donatis) with hand-rolled pastry and filled with parmesan cream (exceptional!!). All seasoned with excellent Salento wine, a breathtaking view and a familiar environment full of real life. Agnese SUPER!! Absolutely highly recommended ❤️

18/10/2025: So, you have to book a table to eat here. There are 2 sessions..one at 7.30 pm and one at 9.30 pm. We chose the earlier option. You are waiting outside with everyone else until they decide to open the door. You feel privileged to have booked a table because if you didn't you are turned away with eyes on your back!! So we sit down and eventually order. The menu choice isn't fantastic. To be honest, I had high hopes for this place. I had the fettuccine ragu which wasn't great, and husband had the rack of lamb which was the smallest I've ever seen, with 5 little squares of potato?? Seriously? Overpriced hyped up and really not worth the money and time. Go elsewhere. The vibe is yuk...

18/10/2025: Restaurant in a quiet area. The setting is pleasant. The waiters are very professional and the food is very good.

25/09/2025: The quality of the place is still high but not at the same level as in past years.

11/09/2025: A virtually unique offering in Lecce and the surrounding area, in a spacious and tasteful location. The raw fish huramaki are excellent, the cooked fish one, unexpectedly, even better. The glazed duck (a slice, really, just right for one, impossible to share) is formidable. The tuna sashimi is fresh and tasty. The spaghetti and noodles are excellent, the vegetable ones are excellent, and the chicken ones are also quite good. It's a wise choice to include Susumaniello on the wine list, produced by several wineries and in a diverse range. The wait staff was extremely courteous and helpful, which more than made up for the hour-long wait between appetizers and first and second courses, for a reason we weren't entirely convinced by, and which wasn't taken into account at the register. The prices were considered fair. Definitely worth a try.

16/09/2025: Excellent value for money. The restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, all well-prepared but simple. Excellent selection of appetizers, always different, as is the daily supply. If you bring friends, you'll make a great impression.

26/10/2025: First of all, mine was just the opinion of a Neapolitan who wanted to eat pizza. Given that this is my first time in Bari, I don't know if you consider the pizza to be the same as the ones you make in Bari. I'd like to point out that your pizza is closer to a Greek pita/focaccia. Given the space you've devoted, I thought the name was a euphemism, but not the reality. I wish you a good day and a good life. Best regards.
