18/02/2025: I contacted Il Sombrero, a family-run restaurant, to celebrate my 50th birthday. I spoke with Michele (the owner's son) to decide on the fish-based menu and he professionally advised me on the choice of courses. Excellent menu from starters to dessert. Fresh ingredients, honest prices and impeccable service, staff always helpful and kind. I thank all the staff for giving me a perfect day.

08/07/2025: Wonderful experience this afternoon. This afternoon my wife and I sat at the tables under the beautiful and evocative portico in the historic location. The food and coffee are delicious, I say this because I've tried them on other occasions... but not today. We weren't served anything. We sat there outside for 10 minutes or more. No less. There were other tables that, one by one, got up and went to pay at the inside register. We were alone. I counted three "workers": a man and two women. And, perhaps, one inside table. There was the air conditioning worker (to let the owner, a kind and polite acquaintance of ours, know that the review is true and the incident occurred). Nothing... I grabbed my wife and took her elsewhere for afternoon coffee and gelato. Thanks, see you next time.

27/06/2025: A Home Away From Home - The Perfect Café! My wife and I were looking for a place to work remotely for a few days, and we couldn't have found a more perfect spot than Café Bar Oriente. This place is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with incredible warmth. The atmosphere is wonderfully familial, and all the staff members are consistently friendly and welcoming. You can tell it's a well-run establishment, as the owners are always present, greeting guests with a smile and ensuring everyone is well taken care of. Their attentiveness truly makes a difference. For anyone looking for a "mobile office," this café is ideal. We spent our days working here comfortably, fueled by some of the best espresso we've had. Beyond the coffee, they offer a range of delicious delicacies. You absolutely must try the pistachio croissant – it's soft and has a generous, creamy filling. I also recommend trying the "Tette delle Monache" ("Nun's Puffs"), a delightful local cream-filled pastry. Everything about our experience was very good, right down to the clean restrooms. It’s a huge plus for tourists that some of the waiters are English-speaking and are all-around nice guys. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit. If you're a tourist looking for an authentic and friendly café experience, do not miss Café Bar Oriente!

02/07/2025: Every time I'm in the area, I can't help but stop. There's just one big problem... (Of course I'm joking) that they make you eat raw materials that have the true flavor of the territory. Why do I call it a problem? Immediately explained: because our palates are used to eating food that has no flavor at all. Obviously I'm speaking for us who come from big cities. 09/07/2025: Unforgettable experience! Fresh and delicious meat, from carpaccio to saltimbocca. Everything was served without too much waiting, perfectly cooked, despite the restaurant being packed! Michele, the owner, guided us from the choice of meat to the service! The waiters and chefs were very friendly! Thank you for the excellent dinner!

30/06/2025: For us it was the first time in a Puglian grill, we couldn't have chosen a better place! We ate really well and a special applause to the staff, kindness and courtesy that really tasted of the south! Thanks again for having satisfied our children!

31/03/2025: My favorite place: very clean, 90s atmosphere, amazing cuisine, quality food; I love the pizza: "Dal Montanaro", which cannot be found in the other pizzerias I have been to. The wood-fired oven, located inside a structure that resembles a rustic house, gives the pizza a unique flavor. The desserts made by them are a set of genuine foods that I would define as contemplative. The service is professional and always prompt.

There were five of us, and we nibbled on the pizzas and ended up feeling sick all night. The quality of the ingredients and dough definitely needs to be reconsidered, as they've objectively gone downhill.
