16/09/2025: "La Casa del Pellegrino" is a restaurant in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II in Crema, run by a social cooperative and located within the monumental complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Croce. The food is delicious, well-cooked, and authentic. Excellent service with helpful and efficient staff. Prices are fair. 1 double appetizer, 1 ravioli (pumpkin, amaretti, cocoa), 1 pasta dish with plenty of mushrooms, water, coffee for 2 = €43.

We were very satisfied for several reasons: - The place is suitable even for those who don't like torta, thanks to the variety of pizzas you can choose from. - The cake is delicious, soft, and the service is available. - The atmosphere is cozy and simple. The instructor is incredibly knowledgeable—not only about the history of gelato but also the science and chemistry behind it. He has taught all over the world and even collaborates with Michelin-star chefs, yet makes the class fun, engaging, and easy to follow for everyone. We all had such a great time, and we left not only with delicious gelato but also with the confidence to make it ourselves. In fact, we loved it so much that we bought a gelato machine and now make our own at home in Dallas. Highly recommend this experience for families, food lovers, or anyone curious about authentic gelato.

06/09/2025: I was here in early September for lunch. Spaghetti with sausage for my daughter and pizza for me. Unfortunately, I'm forced to give the food a poor rating. The pizza seemed frozen, the spaghetti tasted like nothing, and the poor-quality beer tasted like sparkling water. Although the place is beautiful and the waiters are professional, they work hard because they're in the center of Florence and have daily staff turnover. If it were a restaurant on the outskirts of town, it would have closed a long time ago.

27/08/2025: It was quiet when I visited ... but that could be as I arrived just after 7:30, and everywhere is at that time in F. The campari spritz were tip top, and the food looked amazing, but I didn't eat.
