10/11/2025: I stopped by after dinner just to try the cecina, which is the equivalent of Genoese farinata. In a few minutes I grabbed a quarter of a pan to take away (€3.50, sold by weight, €20 per kilo) and my wife and I ate it out... I found it good, even if perhaps a little thinner than I like. However, no substantial difference with the Ligurian original.

10/11/2025: Excellent place!! A little out of the way, but it offers a lovely setting and tranquility. The food is divine at very reasonable prices, the owner is delightful, and it's very child-friendly. Go there!!

02/10/2025: We had a fantastic experience with La Crocetta Menchetti Montepulciano that helped us organize a pizza party for 40 people at Villa Apparita the day after our wedding. A couple of months in advance, we coordinated everything by email, and just a few days before the event I sent them the toppings and confirmed the pick-up day and time. Everything was perfectly arranged, just as planned. The pizzas were excellent — our guests absolutely loved them! Organizing for such a large group could have been stressful, but their support and reliability made it smooth and easy. I really appreciate their time, flexibility, and support, and I highly recommend them if you’re in the region and need a large amount of delicious pizzas for an event or gathering.

The food was good, but the portions were meager, and the dishes didn't match the menu descriptions. The tables on the mezzanine were completely ignored by the service; we ordered extra potatoes because we were still hungry, but after an hour they still hadn't arrived. For dessert, we had to call the waiter while he was serving the next table and wait another half hour for him to come and take our orders. After an hour and a half, practically on an empty stomach, we decided to leave, canceling our dessert order and also encountering a great deal of rudeness and disrespect at the cashier for our polite explanations. A real shame.

20/12/2025: We had dinner here last Saturday night. The pizza is truly enormous because it's for two people. You can choose two or more toppings at the same time. The four stars are for the kindness of the owner, the average prices, and the family atmosphere. I wasn't particularly impressed with the pizza: I'm not a big fan of biscuity dough, and I found the toppings bland, despite being plentiful... but as far as pizza goes, everyone has their own preferences. The rating is still good. Enjoy the wine! 😊

22/11/2025: For me, Croce del Travaglio has become much more than a restaurant; it's a second home where I return often, and every time is a confirmation. ​The food here is an absolute guarantee: the chefs are formidable. While the pici with Chianina ragù and the pici with garlic are a delight for both the eyes and the palate, I must confess my weakness: the pici alla contadina. That duck ragù is indescribable, my absolute favorite dish that I can never say no to. ​But what keeps me coming back, besides the divine food, are the people. With Paola's kindness and Toni's energy, a true friendship has been born. Toni, in particular, is incredible: engaging, incredibly funny, but above all, a kind and talented person unlike any other. It's precisely his humanity that makes every lunch or dinner a special moment. If you want to eat well and feel welcomed by friends, come here for sure.

09/01/2026: The place is very nice, it has the typical look of a pub, the food and drinks are very good and not too expensive. The service is very quick and efficient and the staff is friendly. The only thing I'd say (it happened tonight for the first time so it's just a suggestion, not a complaint) is that asking for payment while people are still eating is a bit tacky. We paid with half a jalapeño in our hand. It would have been nicer to wait until the customer was finished. Maybe it was just an episode from tonight, but I wanted to share.

Some of the portions were quite small, and the wine, unfortunately, wasn't particularly good either. 27/01/2026: Excellent location as a base for exploring the Val d'Orcia. Situated on the edge of Sarteano, a charming village with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket. Friendly staff, a large park, a beautiful swimming pool, and well-maintained accommodations. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!

02/11/2025: I visited this charming campsite as a child with my parents, and I remember playing on the lawns, hanging out with the kids, and swimming in the pool. Several years have passed, and I decided to return with my children. I especially enjoyed the thermal mineral pools and their healing properties, as well as the children's areas like the playground and the pool with slides. As a parent, I also recommend this campsite for its cleanliness and nighttime surveillance (essential for safety). We chose the Lux glamping option...highly recommended! We'll definitely be back next year.
