16/12/2025: Been there three times, lovely cottage, beautiful location and surroundings, excellent food, friendly staff. The only downside is that there isn't always space by the pool. What bothers me is that there are over 30 spots (parasol with two loungers) and everything is taken, even though there are only four people there. Perhaps implement a rule requiring you to take your belongings with you when you leave and not leave a towel to keep the spot occupied, or create more space.

28/09/2025: A really lovely campsite with a great pool. The bungalows have two air conditioners but are a bit sparsely equipped. A proper frying pan and a coffee maker were missing. Everything is very basic. But it doesn't really matter, as you're rarely in the bungalow anyway. However, the campsite owners can't be blamed for this: there are loads of mosquitoes and horseflies, which are quite aggressive. Spray yourself with insect repellent in the mornings and afternoons in August. The beach is 5 km away, either sandy or natural with large stones, but there are fish. Shopping facilities are also quite close, and there's a stall with fresh fruit even closer. 😀

05/05/2026: Great pizzeria if you want to eat sourdough pizza at a low price. They're delicious! Pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. We went a couple of times and got a table right away. Not crowded at all. A great option for eating in Florence and Bologna. Despite being a chain, I highly recommend it.

05/05/2026: For me, the pizza at this place was the best! Everyone has different tastes, but I really liked the dough—I've never tried anything like it—and the combination of ingredients was very unusual. We chose the pizzas based on the waitress's recommendation. Lots of people order takeout, so sometimes you have to wait a long time for a table. But we were lucky—there weren't many people when we ordered, but then all the tourists came over.

13/12/2025: A disappointing experience despite the positive reviews. It's a small osteria in a hamlet just outside Arezzo. We sat down for lunch; we weren't given a menu; instead, the owner/waiter verbally listed a selection of three or four first courses and four second courses. The quality was average to low, and the fact that everything was served within minutes of ordering suggests it was all precooked. The ravioli with meat sauce were decent, but the rabbit, fried long beforehand and then reheated in the oven, was inedible. Green beans with sauce were served on the side, but they were probably lemon-flavored beforehand. Nearly €60 for a first course, two second courses, two side dishes, two desserts, and a bottle of water wouldn't be too much, but forget about the flavors of Tuscan cuisine.

24/04/2026: A true highlight in Florence for me! I wholeheartedly recommend I Bastioni di San Niccolò to anyone looking for an authentic and fantastic Italian experience. The restaurant's atmosphere is wonderfully cozy, exactly what you'd want when visiting Florence. The service was attentive, friendly, and very welcoming. My personal highlight: The Pizza Margherita. I've tried many pizzas in my life, including numerous ones in Germany, but what was served here was in a completely different league. It was by far the best Margherita I've ever eaten! Why it was so outstanding: The dough: Perfectly airy, light, and baked to perfection. The ingredients: Incredibly fresh, aromatic, and of the highest quality. The taste: A world of difference from what you often get in Germany – here you taste true Italian quality. Anyone traveling in the San Niccolò area should definitely not miss this restaurant. I will definitely be back!

23/02/2026: Located near the Montecatini Terme highway exit, this pizzeria offers a wide selection of first and second courses, including seafood. The pizza is excellent. There's plenty of parking nearby. The location is very nice, although a bit noisy. Prices are average.

31/01/2026: Terrible experience. Waiters under pressure, clearly nervous, and treated unpleasantly by their superiors in front of customers, creating an awkward and unprofessional atmosphere. Prices were decidedly excessive for a quality that didn't even begin to live up to the hype. Money wasted. Never again.

06/04/2026: This is the second time this has happened, and I'll obviously never go back. I booked for Easter, mentioning that I'm intolerant to milk and eggs. As soon as they arrive, they bring me a plate and I politely ask if I can eat everything, and the waitress starts huffing and puffing. They bring the first course, and a cook tells me the rabbit ragù had cream. I tell the waitresses, and they try to make me feel even more uncomfortable. (Last year they told me there was no cream, and then there was. I know because I was just as sick as today!) They change my plate and bring overcooked penne, silly, and porcini mushrooms (I don't think even an animal would have tasted that). They bring the second course, and I ask again if I can eat it, and their answer is a super pissed-off "YESSSSSS" (too bad, if I hadn't asked, the pasta with the first course had egg, and thank goodness I asked, otherwise I would have eaten egg pasta too). The waitress comes back to scold me, saying they're serious, blah blah blah, making me even more uncomfortable, and I justify myself. So, 1 star because I can't give it any less. Unfortunately, empathy and kindness aren't for everyone. The seriousness of this place is disastrous. As someone who suffers from intolerances, they show neither respect nor build trust in what you eat. In other places, especially when they know in advance that you have intolerances, they're ready and prepared, I don't have to ask for anything, and they don't make me feel like I'm not the right person. We didn't choose the people who have these problems! And today I can't digest food, I have a stomach ache, and even though they assured me there was no milk, I'm sure there was; otherwise, I wouldn't feel sick. Shame! Rude! Incompetent!

16/11/2025: I frequently order delivery and have never been disappointed. The pizza, calzones, and focaccias are delicious, the prices are very fair and lower than other pizzerias, and the service is perfect, even delivering earlier than expected. I recommend them 100%.
