07/07/2026: We dined on the terrace with a spectacular sea view. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. Pasta with lobster, tagliatelle with shrimp and caramelized figs (an unusual combination but truly delicious). For our main course, we ordered two enormous pieces of Pago fish. Grilled vegetables and eggplant caponata. Everything was very well cooked and generous portions. Water and wine were included. We spent €140 for two, but it's a fair price for the quality and quantity we were served. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Great customer service. Well done.

21/07/2026: It's not bad, I have to say, and the prices are normal. We had pasta alla norma, and it was good, as were the chicken and fries. I'd recommend removing the carbonara from the menu or calling it something else. The pasta was slightly overcooked, the scrambled egg and pancetta were used, and the pecorino cheese wasn't there. They used pancetta instead of guanciale, and parmesan instead of pecorino. The egg was delicate, and I wasn't sure if it was diluted with a touch of cream or egg white. Overall, the flavor wasn't bad, except that it was overcooked and not a carbonara.

08/08/2026: Excellent pizza, one of the best in Catania, fast service, excellent value for money... but everything is ruined by the fact that customers are allowed to smoke traditional cigarettes with impunity... I haven't seen anything like this in years...

01/08/2026: We went on a Saturday, and it was naturally very crowded. Having made a reservation in advance, there were no problems and we were seated right away. The place is very beautiful and colorful! The pizza was delicious. Recommended!

02/07/2026: Great family owned place with friendly staff, cozy small Italian city atmosphere and delicious food of all kinds. Plenty of sea food dishes, pizzas, sallads and meat. Highly recommend!

21/06/2026: We waited 50 minutes for food that was partly cold. Even the bread basket didn't arrive any faster. We didn't want to wait another 50 minutes for the bill, so we approached the rather uninterested staff ourselves. It was also noisy due to the street traffic.

06/05/2026: La Stiva has been our favorite restaurant for many years. Excellent, fresh, and plentiful food, with a friendly yet professional atmosphere. We were there yesterday and had a wonderful meal: special mention for the seafood risotto. The panoramic view is beautiful and the price-quality ratio is excellent. You couldn't ask for more!

02/08/2026: Yesterday I ordered three takeout pizzas: two regular ones, one gluten-free (said and specified). Fast service; the pizzas arrived after 45 minutes. As I was taking the first bite of my gluten-free pizza, luckily and from experience, I realized it was a regular pizza. I called the restaurant, and the guy who placed the previous order answered again. Instead of apologizing, he blamed me for not repeating it more often. In the end, I reordered the gluten-free pizza, which arrived after 20 minutes (as stated over the phone). The unfortunate thing is that I had to pay for it. I mean, it's not about the money itself, but they brought a pizza (which we didn't eat) that I hadn't requested or paid for. At the very least, I should have just paid for the difference for the gluten-free. As a customer, this is a very important detail that should be noted and remembered. Otherwise, the pizza was excellent.
