28/06/2026: Once again, this place doesn't disappoint. My friends and I decided to drive an hour just to eat here again. Aesthetically, it gives you a lovely sense of warmth and welcome; the carefully selected tables and the small side bar are truly beautiful. The quality of the food is truly excellent; everything is delicious, from the simple fries to the pizza and desserts. A really important note is the quantity; the appetizers are truly generous, and it's truly appreciated. Finally, the bill: I think it's the only place I've ever seen that has the prices they had before COVID. I can only rate the quality-to-quantity ratio a 10 out of 10. I forgot, another important note is the friendliness and kindness of the owner and the waiters, truly hospitable, friendly, and easy-going. I also appreciated the idea of ​​board games while waiting. What can I say? I'll try to return, bringing more friends and family! Thanks always!

07/12/2025: PortoMatto in Avola was a delightful discovery. I ordered a first course, a truly delicious risotto: well-creamed, flavorful, but never heavy. The restaurant is elegant, with attention to detail, and the background music is not too loud and very pleasant, allowing for a peaceful conversation. Special praise goes to the table service: professional, attentive, but never intrusive. I'd especially like to highlight the kindness and empathy of the waiter, Giovanni, who really worked hard to find a solution for my wife's particularly restricted diet, trying to accommodate her in every way possible. In the end, she didn't order anything, but his face showed genuine disappointment, a sign of genuine care for the customer. Overall, a very positive experience: highly recommended.

We ate quite well, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The quality-price ratio isn't great, but the experience of eating in the city center and easily taking a walk to work off the heat is worth it.

03/08/2026: A truly excellent discovery: we went for dinner last Sunday (four people, including two girls). We had mussel soup as an appetizer (delicious!), pasta with clams as a first course, and tuna with caramelized onions as a second course, plus sea bass with pistachio cream: EVERYTHING TRULY EXCELLENT!!!! Definitely worth trying again, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I've known this place for many years, and I must say it has evolved remarkably, maintaining its identity while improving in every way. The location is well-maintained and welcoming, the organization is impeccable, and the attention to detail is evident. The quality of the food also lived up to expectations: well-prepared dishes, excellent ingredients, and generous portions. The only small complaint is that the prices have also increased compared to the past, but I find this understandable given the level of service offered. We'll definitely be back!

03/08/2026: The food is not good for what you pay, the water is unlabeled, open, you don't know where it comes from, even if you can imagine, and then 3 euros for the cover charge, I've never paid that anywhere, in short I'll definitely never go back, they have no sense of catering, the food is not good, you can't say it's a fair portion, the prices are high for what they give you.

During this time, the quality of the dough made with ancient grains (like Tumminia), which are particularly sensitive to temperature and humidity, has been consolidated. Massimo has learned to tame these conditions, giving us extraordinarily digestible pizzas. For the rest, you can read the other reviews, as the wide selection of pizzas offered is truly satisfying, given that the ingredients are always top-quality. In short, Massimo, Rosalba, thank you, and may the flour be with you, and the tomato, mozzarella, and everything else, we'll eat.

The pizza was truly delicious, with a light crust and super-fresh ingredients, like the colorful cherry tomatoes that added a wonderful pop of color to the dish. 16/06/2026: We regret having to give this establishment a 2 rating, especially since we had very high expectations when we arrived, especially based on the excellent reviews we'd read. Unfortunately, we must point out a few aspects of our dinner that weren't to our liking: As soon as we arrived at our table, we were somewhat disappointed to learn that the menu featured 10 different Margherita pizzas. Sure, each one had a different sauce, mozzarella, or tomato, but ultimately, they were still Margherita pizzas. This isn't to criticize the restaurant's operational decisions; the owners must have had their own good reasons for promoting only one type of pizza, and we're not arguing with that. However, as customers, we would have appreciated at least having been informed of this temporary situation when we made our phone reservation so we could have adjusted accordingly. After all, when I go to a pizzeria, I expect to be able to choose from at least 6-7 different flavors, not 10 identical ones. This isn't a common situation and should therefore be communicated in advance, especially if I call a few hours before to make a reservation. The pizza itself wasn't even the best. We're not referring to the quality of the ingredients, which we can't comment on... but alas, the pizza was truly lacking in toppings, meaning very little mozzarella and a few cherry tomatoes (there were many "empty" spots where you could see the dough underneath). It was too crunchy, almost like eating a bruschetta without any toppings, and as a result, it also seemed quite light; light in the sense that, when we usually eat pizza, we struggle to finish it all; in this case, we left the table still hungry. Finally, we'd like to emphasize that even though we didn't order appetizers (precisely because a whole pizza usually fills us up), we didn't spend a fortune. We definitely won't be returning.
