09/11/2025: Cozy atmosphere in a great location across from the square near the historic center. Varied menu with appetizers, first and second courses. Great value for money. Dishes are served in individual portions. The seafood pasta includes mussels, clams, squid, and a piece of octopus, a piece of shrimp, and a langoustine. The pasta with tomato sauce is very tasty. The mixed salad is crunchy. For dessert, the Tiramisu is delicious.

02/11/2025: Scacco Matto is a great place for delicious pizza in Martina Franca. The dough is thin and well-baked, the ingredients are fresh and of really good quality. It's clear that everything is prepared with attention to taste. The friendly, unobtrusive service and pleasant atmosphere are also a plus. It's definitely worth returning.

12/09/2025: What a wonderful night. Food was exceptional! Family owned restaurant where brother cooks and sister serves. They even gave us a tour of there property that has been in family for generations. We found this restaurant late one evening and was not disappointed. Only problem leaving area today...would love to go back. A MUST VISIT!

02/11/2025: The atmosphere is clean and very refined, but unfortunately the pizza has a thin, hard crust—it's almost like a schiacciata, not a pizza! It's a shame because the ingredients used are top-quality, but you're in Puglia, so it's only natural that they aren't! I'd revisit the pizza maker's dough.

22/10/2025: Luckily, my boss always lets me discover new places when I come to the restaurant, and this pizzeria is one of them! The gluten-free pizza I ordered was truly fabulous, as were the pizzas served with various dough types. They also had many delicious appetizers and local specialties that sold out in no time. This characteristic stone restaurant features vaulted ceilings of various sizes. They've added a covered outdoor veranda that can accommodate many, many people. Definitely worth a visit and try for the pizza, appetizers, and meat, even for special dietary needs. The staff are impeccable in their service, as are all the staff and the owners. Thank you for the thoughtfulness and attention they gave me last night! Thanks again, and definitely stop by if you're in the Martina Franca area!

19/10/2025: It rarely happens that I want to write a review after the second bite. And this evening, it happened. Excellent pizza, sublime, quality ingredients, perfect cooking, excellent dough. Fantastic pizza alla norma!! Congratulations! We always happily return every year after the wedding fair, and every year it gets better. Excellent service, impeccable cleanliness. The only flaw?!? You're too far for us, since we come from Manduria 😅

16/11/2025: We booked for four. The restaurant is well-maintained, complete with star-shaped vaulted ceilings, and it's not excessively noisy despite its small size. The pizza is cooked to perfection and the ingredients are excellent, especially the smoked provola cheese on my pizza, which filled the room with a magnificent aroma. Bread and mortazza is an excellent appetizer, and even though it's fried, the pizza goes down easily. The wait staff was patient, and the service was prompt. The waitresses, however, were a bit aloof, as if they were in a rush (it was Saturday, I understand), but I must say they are committed, hard-working people. List of dishes/drinks ordered: Bread and mortazza, provola cheese and pepper, blackberry, impiccato, martinese with chips, mangiafuoco (shared between two), water, and two Cokes. All for €21 per person (total €84). Positive things I noticed: the oven inside is very clean (it appears to be gas) and the bathroom is well-maintained. It was a pleasant surprise.
