12/11/2025: A fantastic restaurant with a very pleasant and friendly team—they effortlessly fulfill all our wishes. We visited on the recommendation of our Italian friend Giorgio and were not disappointed. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious: pizza, fish, and desserts of the highest quality. At our request, they even prepared a delicious fish soup for our last day. The wine selection is excellent. A bonus for dog lovers: dogs are very welcome, and a bowl of fresh water is provided. Highly recommended!

08/11/2025: A good place to eat good pizzas, and they deliver on time. The only downside for non-smokers like me: the door is sometimes left open, and smoke from outside enters the dining room and is noticeable...

18/11/2025: How do you ensure a smooth flow as a restaurant? Come see for yourself. Super efficient! We had the last table, so the cordon for the terrace closed, but a table quickly became available and new guests could be welcomed. Service is also fast, and the dishes are served quickly. We didn't feel rushed at all, but we weren't particularly welcome either. We opted for the schiaffoni and the pistacchio pizza. They were good and very tasty. We were on our way again in 30 minutes, perfect if you still want to see something in Polignano or the surrounding area.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

18/10/2025: Arrived at a nearby agriturismo/masseria whose restaurant was closed for the season. Googled and found Chalet Degli Ulivi. Great find. Being Saturday night our last minute reservation using What's App got us outside but under cover. The restaurant provided a wrap for my wife. Nice touch. We started with the caciocavallo al forno. Who doesn't love good melted chesse? And this was good. I had the Bombette Pugliesi and these were great, the potatoes also delicious. My wife enjoyed the iberico pork which was devine! Amazingly tender texture and full of flavor. All paired nicely with a wonderful, bold yet mature fruit balanced palate primitivo. We finished with an amazing tiramisu. So many tiramisu are just so so, this one was both delicious and cleverly presented in a flower pot. This was a wonderful meal.

08/11/2025: A small place that produces truly spectacular gourmet delights. A classic example of how good things come in small packages. The menu is always up-to-date, not the usual panzerotti you see everywhere. The owners are incredibly kind and immediately put you at ease. Not to mention the hilarious reels they create on social media, which are a joy to watch and give you a sense of the excellent product they offer. Highly recommended for any type of event, from birthdays, graduations, to after-parties. They're very professional and wonderful at managing everything. In short: U MEST & LA MEST are a guarantee!!!!

14/09/2025: Excellent...because excellent is an understatement...it's become our favorite restaurant. In the photo, fried calamari with zucchini...tender Angus steak...crusty pizza...sublime pistachio cheesecake...the staff is courteous and helpful. The place is spotless. Go visit them, you won't regret it.

13/09/2025: I'll start by saying I can't comment on the quality of the food because, after waiting about 20 minutes to order, we were told we'd have to wait at least 45 minutes for the pizzas we were supposed to order, and were told to order appetizers we didn't want. Obviously, we had no choice but to get up and leave. Since most of the customers were there for the pizza, I'd recommend either increasing the number of pizza chefs or reducing the number of tables.
