Refined atmosphere and excellent dishes. La Contrada stands out for its impeccable service and cuisine that showcases the local area with creativity.
Strengths: Super-fresh ingredients, meticulous presentation, and an excellent wine list.
Tip: Don't miss the homemade pasta dishes; they're the true heart of the menu.
We went for lunch today and ate divinely, guided by the daily specials written on the blackboard.
The pasta dishes were prepared with truly exceptional care and freshness:
Tonnarelli with artichokes and guanciale
Gnocchetti with clams and porcini mushrooms
"Thick" fettuccine with calamari and asparagus 😋😋😋
An honorable mention goes to the fried artichokes, a true crunchy and tasty delicacy.
Welcoming atmosphere and top-notch quality.

16/02/2026: Nice and welcoming restaurant. Attentive and very kind staff. The only flaw was that I ordered the octopus with potatoes, but there was almost no octopus, too little. Overall, a great experience. 🤗

15/03/2026: One of the worst pizzas I had in Lavinio last night. Poorly cooked. So thin that after the first bite, I threw it away and threw it in the garbage. For goodness sake. Never again. I found a small metal ring like a sliced black olive on the pizza. I also made a bad impression on my guests.

The portions are generous. Highly recommended.

29/01/2026: I recently visited this pizzeria in the heart of Rome, and it was a wonderful experience! We discovered it through the Baedeker travel guide, where it was already recommended – and I can wholeheartedly agree with that recommendation.
The food was simply outstanding. We had pizza, fries, and falafel, and no matter which dish arrived at our table, everything was freshly prepared, incredibly aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients and the care taken in the preparation were evident in every bite.
The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
A definite recommendation – we would come back anytime!

26/01/2026: In my opinion this is one of the great pizzas this side of town! We really like it because it's not too thin but it is crispy and well seasoned. The place can get a bit noisy when full, but still worth going there!
21/12/2025: My daughter and her friends went there to celebrate her birthday and had a great time. The pizza is good, the staff is friendly, and the place is very cute—what more could you ask for! I highly recommend it.

20/02/2026: Fabio's pizza isn't just any pizza, it's excellent. It's very thin and made with truly delicious ingredients. The service could improve a bit, as it used to be, but that doesn't mean I won't recommend it to anyone who wants to try the Nutella pizza.
11/02/2026: Let's skip the reservations!! I called and they told me they don't take reservations a week in advance, okay, so I called the following Wednesday about Saturday and they told me the place was fully booked the week before!!

26/02/2026: I'm deeply saddened to see this restaurant decline. The food is poor and second-rate, and the service is chaotic and uncoordinated. They've raised the prices, reduced the portions, and, most importantly, the quality of the food has declined. I've been going there for many years, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll return.
