18/08/2024: As soon as we arrived, the owner approached us and asked us what we wanted to eat: we replied that we would have ordered a starter and a second course; he tells us "then I'll bring you a starter and for the second course I have a nice sea bream caught today". We accept the proposal. Result: total of 200 euros for two (100 euros for starter and 90 euros for sea bream). Absurd experience began to arrive various portions of appetizer but all tiny: 4 marinated anchovies he charged 17 euros, the mussels were ALL empty and also around 17-18 euros, 4 meatballs 17 euros. On the other hand, the waiters were very kind. The price was absolutely out of the market, perhaps they had to compensate for the evening given that there were only 4 seated tables? Among other things, there is another Chinappi in Formia, Michele Chinappi, which is where we wanted to go and which had been recommended to us, but unfortunately we made a mistake in booking. Edit (18/08): Mr. Stefano Chinappi, after the review, contacted me: he invited me and my girlfriend to his restaurant and apologized for what happened, expressing his willingness to remedy what happened. Yesterday (Saturday 17/08) he had the thought of writing to me again to invite me to go to dinner with him, but unfortunately I was no longer in the area. He then had the foresight to reimburse me for all the starters (100 euros). Errors/mistakes can happen (similar events have happened to me other times), but this type of attention to the customer is certainly to be appreciated and, at least personally, no restaurateur has ever been so present after paying the bill and has ever shown this. kind of attention. We will definitely return when we are in the area!

10/08/2024: 1 star is also generous for this stall, let's start from the menu which includes fabulous haribo (found open in the fridge) which would certainly have been better than the dishes served, especially the pizzas, so dry and battered that I regretted not having gone to the kebab shop 10 meters away, we move on to the waitresses who were nervous because incredibly they had to work, finally the kitchen was worthy of the worst restaurant in Mumbai, with filth everywhere and random plastic bags inside the drawers, the only advantage is the exit from the room, especially after a scary horror like that.

10/08/2024: Too bad I can't give zero stars, I got a pizza that was less tasty than a cracker, the tasteless sauce passed from the jar to the pizza without even remotely seeing a pan, the mozzarella had the consistency of rubber and the mushrooms disgusting. Furthermore, air conditioning is a luxury that apparently they cannot afford, the friendly staff like Jeffrey Dahmer who answers you badly because you ask absurd questions like why the air conditioner is off when it's 40 degrees in the room, then we glimpsed the kitchen and I have to say that if the NAS went in there they would run out of paper for how many fines they would have to give and they would leave their jobs due to the trauma caused by the disgust they would see in that stable. Finally, if you want to pay by card they curse your family, to be absolutely avoided.

14/08/2024: semplicemente vergognoso! non si può spendere 50 euro a testa in pizzeria per antipasto, pizza, birra e dolce…. una normale pizza fuori di zucca ed alici 15 euro…. inaccettabile…. per poi non parlare del fatto che dopo aver pagato alla cassa ti rilasciano il pre-conto e non lo scontrino fiscale che, non deve essere richiesto dal cliente ma deve essere un obbligo del ristoratore…. da evitare

Be careful with the fried foods they produce because they are so good that they are addictive .🙂 Congratulations, keep it up

18/08/2024: You can eat in or take away. You can choose whether to take pizza slices or round ones. The pizza looks similar to the typical Neapolitan one. The price of a round is 5 euros. It's not one of my favorite pizzerias, but it's a fair compromise. The fried foods are good. To eat there there is a space with tables and chairs, but the environment is hit and run.

15/06/2024: June 8, 2024 We got married in a loving villa in Fumone (fantastic location), after 30 years of cohabitation and 2 splendid children. We were lucky enough to be assisted in the catering by the guys from Ristorarte, who accompanied us and pampered us with their delicacies, their courtesy and above all with kindness and friendliness, throughout the entire duration of the event. Our guests were delighted by the food, which, accompanied by the kindness of the staff, became a wonderful combination. Personally, I would like to thank Giorgio, and his partner on site (impeccable coordinator, don't blame me if I don't remember his name), and the staff who are impeccable in their courtesy and friendliness. What remained in my mind for all was a cute, thin, tall girl with glasses, who at the end of the ritual was near the coffee machine, she was moved together with us and to all guests present. In my opinion, this is love for one's profession. FANTASTIC

Il cibo è stato eccellente in tutto ed il servizio discreto ( i camerieri e la metre non sono stati per nulla invadenti 🥰🥰) e sempre pronti. 16/08/2024: I don't even know where to start, but I would like to start from the only positive note, even if not too positive... the place! We were 7 people on holiday in Gaeta and we were looking for a quiet place similar to a Roman hosteria that could satisfy adults, children and vegetarians. We found this place on Google and from the menu description we decided to go. As soon as we arrived we noticed that it is located on an uphill road, a little dangerous because cars pass by and it is narrow... but upon entering the place it immediately makes a good impression on us, fresh, tidy, clean and all the foods on display in the shop windows, from fish to fruit, but this is where the problems begin... we had booked for 7 and they prepared a table for 5, once seated at the table we noticed that in the room where we were there it was at least 20 degrees and considering that all outside there were at least 32, we ask to lower it a bit because they were starting to get cold...we look at the menus, some of the figures are affordable, others are not...since it's 10.30pm they ask us not to choose elaborate food because the kitchen was in closing, so we book appetizers and pizzas. In the meantime, no one turns down the air conditioning, my mother-in-law was feeling unwell and my 8 year old daughter was shivering with cold, we called back to have it turned down. The dishes arrived after about 30 minutes, the Atratino starter was very good, the pizzas were some very good, others a little chewy, but the peppery mussels left something to be desired... the mussels were as small as 5 cents and many were empty . My partner orders a glass of house wine for €5 from a second waiter, 5/10/15/20/30 minutes pass and we see him wandering around the room and looking at us from time to time, whereupon he is asked again for the glass, he brings it to us after another 5 minutes and it was 2 fingers of wine!!!!! At this point we ask to speak to the room manager to understand and he arrives directly with the bottle of wine to fill the glass and from this we understood that not all the waiters are trained for service. We finished dinner and no one ever turned down the air conditioning, we were cold, some with a headache and some with a stomach ache (from indigestion), we women went towards the exit to smoke a cigarette and in the meantime, we almost came hit by a car, which as I said before is a dangerous road! The men pay and return with a bill that makes your head spin, but leaving aside the food... what shocked us the most was the price of 1 LITER OF COCA COLA 6.00! I hope you can have a better experience than ours 😅

08/08/2024: Very negative experience Poor ingredients, non-transparent menu with one thing written for another. I give the example of the Tropea pizza which on the menu says fresh tuna and Tropea onions and I received a pizza with canned tuna from the discount store. The tomato on the pizzas was very salty and had an old taste and above all I was disappointed by the quality of the starters (meatballs made only of bread and the tasteless omelettes that tasted only of bechamel sauce) Experience not to be repeated, money down the drain. Highly recommended place!
