19/07/2025: Oh yeah, let's get a calzone, what do you want it to be? I'll order home delivery via the app. SPOILER: It's a huge, gigantic calzone!!! My goodness, I was speechless. And since there was some left over, it was even better the next day! Super good farinata and mixed fried fish, well, what can I say, delicious! Home delivery is a great thing, and now that I've discovered you, I won't leave you alone! Congratulations!

20/07/2025: Literally the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at! Refined dishes, excellent quality fish, and the friendliness and warmth that are a hallmark of the place.

27/05/2025: The first courses were excellent, the fried food was out of this world and plentiful!!
That said, the service was really slow, sitting at the table for 25 minutes before finally having a glass of wine, they wouldn't even give it to us when we asked.... incredible.
This was by the owner's will, who only serves him and strictly in order of arrival. The owner is still nice and welcoming, nothing to say, but.... come on...
We were 4 of us and we tasted a few appetizers... 3 first courses and fried food.
Special dishes, well-prepared, cacio pepe and shrimp rated 10!
The portions are tastings (except for the fried food), you pay like everywhere else nowadays....
For me 3 stars... happy to have tried it but it's not one of my favorite places (personal opinion)

06/10/2025: The location might be deceiving...but once you're seated at the table, you'll forget everything. Ravioli or maccaronara with ragù...a delicacy. Rabbit cacciatore style or grilled lamb...a real treat. And let's not forget the appetizers, all locally sourced. €40 per person, well spent.

07/10/2025: I went for lunch today for work, a lovely surprise! The food was all very good, the staff was very friendly, and the place was clean. The price was €13, including a first course, second course, water, and coffee.
Special thanks to the owners' son, a polite, professional, and enthusiastic young man.

07/11/2025: We called and booked about an hour and a half before our arrival.
Upon arrival, the staff lacked empathy, and it was as cold as the unheated room, which was 30°F outside (we had to wear jackets to dinner).
When we pointed out that the room was cold, the staff, with a pissed-off look, initially said that the heating system hadn't turned on (I wonder, shouldn't the room temperature be checked beforehand in a restaurant?) or that they were letting customers in without knowing the reason for it...
Mushroom risotto, FULLY COVERED IN CREAM, so much so that it merged with the rice and the few mushrooms... WILD BOAR THAT TASTED NOT AT ALL LIKE THAT, BUT MORE LIKE A SORT OF STEW WITH TOMATOES AND A DAMNED SALTY! So much so that we couldn't even finish it.
When we left, we were asked, "Was everything okay?"
Having pointed out the insane critical issues, instead of trying to apologize and verify what we were told, we were arrogantly told, "SO IT WASN'T GOOD AT ALL??!!" ...well, maybe the water, to be honest, but here the deadbeat saying that the customer is always right is more than far-sighted.
Not a fair quality-price ratio at all.
Not recommended.
05/10/2025: Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review because we ordered two takeout pizzas, and when we arrived, they didn't even appear to have been marked.
We placed our order again and saw that the pizza chef threw away two of the pizzas (they were ours, as one was gluten-free).
After a good 20 minutes, the pizzas were delivered... I saw how things were going, so I decided to check them; obviously, they were wrong, so I went in and pointed out that they were wrong, and we didn't hear a single "sorry" or "we're sorry." They were remade from scratch... or at least that's what we thought.
Once we got home, after a good 35 minutes in the restaurant, we ate the pizzas (as shown in the attached photos). We found a sausage inside (an ingredient that had been put on the wrong pizza), so at this point I really think they removed the wrong ingredient from the pizza and put the right one on top...
Also, my gluten-free pizza was completely burnt on the sides, inedible.
While the regular one seemed almost raw.
You'd better change jobs.

24/08/2025: We decide to treat ourselves to one last restaurant before returning from summer vacation. We can't go wrong; we have to end on a high note! Tomorrow we'll be in the Varallo area, and after carefully poring over the reviews of various restaurants, we narrow our focus to Hostaria di Bricai. We've booked!
We find a parking spot two minutes away, and later we'll understand why. The restaurant is practically inside a beautiful park. We're greeted by the owner, who's quite busy with other tables. She makes us wait about five minutes, then shows us to our table. We already have a pretty clear idea of the dishes, but some off-menu items catch my attention, including the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. I ask for truffle, but it's flatly rejected, even with a few dirty looks. We start with the entree, which we consider to be excessively minimal, so much so that we can't fully savor its essence. Just a little more in quantity wouldn't hurt at all. The rest, as you can see from the photos, is highly commensurate with quality dishes, well-made and beautifully presented. The bill, too, is absolutely in line with the products and quality offered. There's a wide selection of wines, not exactly cheap, but if you don't opt for glasses, for which the selection is limited, you can always buy a bottle and take it home if you don't finish it. Finally, I feel compelled to contradict the reviews that claim they paid a lot and left hungry! Believe me, if you're in the area, it's worth trying their cuisine. I'd definitely go back!
30/07/2025: As a French guy, i have to say that the foie gras was one of the best i’ve ever tasted. I recommand this restaurant with a beautiful view and atmosphere, definitely will come back !

29/10/2025: We had lunch with the business menu, which was supposed to cost €12.00. They served us a reheated and overcooked panissa and a burger dripping with blood. Total: €45 (1/2 liter of wine on tap for €12.00). We'll honestly avoid it in the future.

23/07/2025: The food was good, the portion sizes were okay. The service at the beginning was a complete disaster. We asked about meat-free dishes, but the waitress loudly asked us how we could eat vegetarian food. The service continued to be very distant.
Unfortunately, we didn't feel welcome at all, which is why I can't give it more stars.
I don't recommend the restaurant if you want to experience hospitality. It simply doesn't exist there. Other customers there sometimes mimicked the service staff and made fun of their unfriendly attitude.
At the end, when it came to paying, they finally wished us all the best.
I can't say anything about the hotel; luckily, we didn't sleep there.
