On Friday evening the restaurant was empty . Apparently people are aware that the restaurant is very bad . We visited Venice many times, but this was the worst restaurant ever .

08/03/2026: Attracted by the good reviews, we stopped for dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was courteous and friendly. We ordered two first courses, one large beer, and a quart of prosecco on tap for a total of €64. Perhaps our expectations were high, and we were a little disappointed. It's not that the dishes weren't of high quality, but the description on the menu didn't reflect the flavor. The prosecco wasn't good at all.

08/03/2026: We had lunch yesterday without a reservation. We chose pizza, but we'll definitely be back to try their seafood dishes! Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: The food is very, very, very delicious, and the service is truly great. I'm happy every October that it's still open, and sad in April that it's still closed. Even if I go there three days in a row, I always find something particularly good to eat. It never gets boring; the presentation of the food alone is a feast for the eyes.

19/02/2026: The food here is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The quality is evident, and I found the atmosphere clean. The bathroom was also clean, and the service was quite fast, with the staff attentive to customer requests.

13/02/2026: Today, while passing through Chioggia, I ate here. The atmosphere is elegant, clean, and discreet. A respectable menu and very friendly staff. A good fried dish, excellent wine, side dishes, and a dessert that surprised me: radicchio, carrots, cream, and chocolate chips. A truly unusual specialty. If you have the chance, stop by. Best regards.

11/12/2025: Overall disappointing. We opted for the nine-course tasting menu. The dishes weren't bad, but they weren't up to par for the price. They were rather bland or uninteresting, and often lacked balance and execution.

11/03/2026: We spent a weekend at Venissa with a package that included both accommodation and dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant, booking a Junior Suite. Starting with the restaurant, the dining experience was very positive: the dishes were truly delicious, well-balanced, and carefully prepared. The wine pairing was also very interesting and well-thought-out. The dining room service was young, friendly, yet professional. We also greatly appreciated the late-evening visit by chef Chiara Pavan. The only issue concerns internal communication. In the afternoon, we reported to reception that my boyfriend wasn't feeling well, so the restaurant could possibly be informed before our arrival. We were told they would let us know, but we never heard back, and when we arrived at dinner, we had to re-explain the situation because the information hadn't been shared with the dining room. Having booked an experience that included both accommodation and dinner, we also expected more fluid communication between reception and the restaurant. Precisely because the offer is designed as a unique experience, we expected much more communication between the two parties. Regarding the stay, unfortunately, the experience didn't entirely live up to expectations for a property advertised as five-star online. At check-in, we were kept waiting while another couple who had arrived after us were escorted first, and we were taken to our room rather quickly because other guests were arriving in the meantime. The Junior Suite was nevertheless very nice, and the bed was truly comfortable, while the bathtub was present as requested. Overall, however, we didn't find it entirely up to five-star standards: the amenities were rather basic (swimming cap, shower gel, slippers), the soundproofing wasn't the best, and we even found a few ants in the room in the morning. This can happen, but in a property of this caliber, one generally expects greater attention to these details. Overall, it remains a very good gastronomic experience and a truly interesting project. Precisely for this reason, some small organizational oversights left us with the feeling that the experience could have been managed with even greater care and that something was left a bit unresolved at checkout.

11/03/2026: Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. We went straight to Venissa from the airport and chose the tasting menu for lunch without hesitation. It was a wonderful mix of many of the items on the menu, and it also felt like an excellent value. Everything was delicious, but we especially loved the white fish dip, the artichokes, and a beautiful roasted spring onion dish. The service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, which made for a wonderfully relaxed afternoon.

14/02/2026: The bread was delicious, but the squid ink pasta was too salty. Besides the €3 table fee per person, hot water also cost extra. They even insisted on a tip when I paid by card. Overall, the meal wasn't good value for money.

29/09/2025: A restaurant that impresses in every way. Incredibly family-friendly. Art supplies and a children's playground that can be viewed from the square via screens. This allows you to enjoy your meal in peace while the kids play, and no one gets bored. The food is excellent. Fresh, generous portions, and excellent service. We highly recommend it. We'll be back.

22/09/2025: Bad taste, stale meat and really bad pasta. High prices for this. I really don't recommend it.

16/09/2025: Three for service only because the waiter sets the table for five, as we have a baby in a stroller. As soon as we point out that there are four of us (the baby wasn't eating), he angrily tells us, "Never mind, you're five." At which point we accepted (remember, in Italy you pay a cover charge). In the end, it was a lovely evening. The food was excellent.

14/03/2026: Fish soup, cuttlefish in black ink with polenta, 1 moeca..(12 euros per crab...not Iranian oil...🤪🤪🤪) 1 flaming Catalan cream...everything just right with kind and fast staff!

11/03/2026: Great restaurant. We had an excellent bottle of wine (Amarone) and the mixed plate of Antipasti. Was amazing. Service was good and I love the children’s paintings on the menu‘s cover - Lovely idea!

11/03/2026: My wife and I had a lovely snack with wine dinner here tonight. The wine was fabulous and the atmosphere was great, it felt very authentic. The small prosciutto sandwiches were perfect with the wine (and what a selection there was by the glass!) Alberto made us feel very welcome and gave us some great suggestions for authentic Venitian bakeries.

08/03/2026: My wife bought coffee at Café Mayer across the street, and I wanted to buy wine and rolls at La Cantinetta across the street... We were not allowed to sit at the same table, the owner is extremely unfriendly, and the restaurant is absolutely not recommended.
