We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday yesterday. I wanted to thank all the staff for their kindness and the excellent fish...the carbonara is always spectacular...the fruit tart is perfect!!! Thank you, and see you next time...

For my first time at this restaurant, I can say I wasn't satisfied with the service. The wait was an hour for two starters—really too long. I stayed because I wasn't in a hurry, but honestly, it's the first time this has happened to me.

This place is a must if you’re in Viareggio!! It is clearly a local favorite and it was incredible!! If you’re ok with a little heat, get the squid ink tagliatelle - it will not disappoint!!! Their specialty mussel pasta was also out of this world. Highly recommend

A very nice restaurant and excellent food. We had the seafood carbonara, cod en croute, baked octopus, mascarpone with berries, and a pear dessert. What can I say? The delicious flavors of the dishes are still in our mouths, and I can't wait to return on vacation to Il Gabbiano. Kudos to all the staff.

07/06/2026: A truly excellent nine-course tasting menu, enriched with numerous appetizers and desserts that leave you feeling very satisfied. The menu is a crescendo of flavors, from the most delicate seafood dishes to the pasta and meat dishes. The ravioli stuffed with olive oil and parmesan, the chef's signature dish, are exceptional, and the reinterpretation of lasagna is very interesting. The staff is extremely friendly, and Chef Tomei is friendly and helpful. A highly recommended experience.
