03/09/2025: I've been there several times and always had a good meal, but the last time was a disappointment. The peppered mussels tasted only of vinegar, and the scampi were bitter, with dark meat. The seafood risotto was completely unrelated to the seasoning, and the calamari and octopus were incredibly tough and impossible to chew. We still paid for everything (and quite handsomely, I might add).

31/08/2025: Overrated. Unfortunately, I had other expectations. We made the mistake of trusting the waiter with the choice of raw fish, which he didn't leave with a good taste. The scampi were good, but we hadn't asked for them, and if we'd known they were €80 a kilo, we certainly wouldn't have ordered them. Other items were frozen, and that's also written on the menu. The two sea urchin first courses were good, and all in all, it could have been a sufficient lunch... but not for the price we ultimately paid and the zero service we received. I'm truly sorry, as a Catanian... because in Catania, it's easy to have unpleasant surprises in restaurants these days. It's increasingly true that the best fish is eaten at home.

22/04/2025: Questo posto è perfetto per assaporare la genuinità del pesce fresco ,la professionalità del gestore e la gentilezza di Paolo ,per non parlare del padrone che ci ha accolto con battute ironiche e scherzose facendoci sentire come di casa ....consigliato e azzeccato.

14/04/2025: Locale di gusto e buona cucina ero stato portato qui da colleghi catanesi e avevo mangiato molto bene. I prezzi erano alti ma valeva la pena tornare e infatti sono tornato d ad solo e con grande sorpresa mi hanno fatto sedere in un tavolo all’angolo della sala davanti al muro. I piatti portati erano miseri rispetto alla volta precedente. Gamberi microscopici evidentemente prodotto surgelato da supermercato. Vino portato già versato nel bicchiere. 40 minuti per avere un piatto di pasta mentre cameriere e proprietario si pavoneggiano ai tavoli degli amici. Non adatto a clienti occasionali solo amici fidati

21/08/2025: Excellent! The food, service, and prices. I asked for gluten-free bread and they brought me an excellent gluten-free focaccia that was delicious. The dishes were excellent, highly recommended.

14/08/2025: The mussel dish was amazing, everything was delicious, compliments to the chef, even the pasta with clams, we will always go there, compliments indeed

06/09/2025: Thank you for this wonderful lunch experience: definitely a place to recommend and return to! We had two appetizers and two first courses: the linguine was cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality is top notch. Among the appetizers, we tried the raw shrimp: simply exceptional, incredibly fresh and delicate, they melted in your mouth—I've never tasted anything so good in my life. The staff is very welcoming, and the location is perfect, just steps from the historic fish market, which gives the place an authentic and lively atmosphere.

03/09/2025: Our first dinner in Catania, down by the fish market. We looked around and thought this looks very authentic, simple but good. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Portions very meager and very little attention to detail. The risotto frutti di mare was not a risotto at all, no more than a small portion of normal rice with the smallest of frozen seafood mix. The taste was ok. The grilled prawns were just about enough grilled so you could eat them, but the vein (bowel) had not been removed which tainted the flavor. One would expect better cooking from a chef living by the sea and working right at the fish market.

06/07/2025: There were 2 of us I have always come and we have had a good time especially for the pizza Yesterday I wanted to have the mixed fried food Okay, everything has increased, from 15 it has reached 20 €, But reducing the quantity so drastically this is not possible 4 precise rings of squid 3 shrimps 6 anchovies 4 micro cod A bunch of octopus Unhappy to the max If I return maybe only for the pizza I'm sorry but only the mussels are left, I hope they are still full, because they are losing their soul by continuing like this

01/07/2025: We celebrated our baby's baptism. We had the outside room all to ourselves, it was beautiful! Francesca, in addition to being very sweet, is also very very helpful. We found solutions to everything. Delicious bruschetta and everything was excellent. The products are of excellent quality, the waiters are professional, kind and very helpful! Needless to say, we will return to the next event without a shadow of a doubt❤️ Thank you Team Anima e Cozze for making a special day even more magical ❤️
