11/06/2026: I'm now reviewing this restaurant where my wife, daughter, and I dined at the end of May. We had the honor and pleasure of being served by Renzo (who passed away a few days ago). He was a man of rare empathy and professionalism. The news left us in disbelief. The food was excellent and the service incredibly friendly. While Luca was bringing us appetizers, my daughter turned to me and said, "It's been a long time since I've had gratinated mussels," the expression of a simple desire. As dinner continued, Luca approached us with a plate full of gratinated mussels (not on the menu) and said, "I spoke with the girl and prepared them for you." For this alone, the restaurant is worth a visit because you're treated not just like a customer but like family. 28/06/2026: Very well-kept restaurant, good food, very friendly staff, excellent wine list

14/06/2026: We had lunch for two at Il Melograno, and overall, the experience was pleasant, although not entirely up to expectations based on the prices. Among the standouts, I'd highlight the veal with tuna sauce, truly well executed, and the excellent rabbit roll. The Nebbiolo recommended by the sommelier was also very popular, and proved to be a perfect choice. We were a bit unsure, however, about the tortelli stuffed with roast chicken, shrimp, and shrimp sauce: a combination that left us a bit perplexed and, in our opinion, lacked a convincing balance. The slow-cooked rump steak was also rather dry. The desserts are good, but €8 per portion seems excessive. The overall impression is of a cuisine that aspires to be sophisticated, but where not all choices are fully successful. Considering a final cost of around €130 for two, one would expect a little more. Furthermore, we're not in the center of a large city, but in a small town in the Monferrato area, where operating costs are presumably different from those of a restaurant in a much more expensive urban setting. Overall, a good experience, with some successful dishes and excellent wine, but the quality-price ratio could probably be improved. For this reason, despite having enjoyed a pleasant lunch, I don't think we'll return: at these prices, we expect more convincing cuisine and greater consistency between ambition, results, and final price.

08/06/2026: Best place ever, but unfortunately we only discovered it on our last evening. Excellent selection of different dishes and the waiters provide information about today's specials, etc.

08/06/2026: We were a group for breakfast. Admittedly, the food was delicious. However, two people went to get ice cream next door after breakfast, and the staff seemed annoyed that they were eating it right next to the sidewalk. I suppose I understand, but shooing away people who had just eaten breakfast there while the rest of the group was still finishing theirs? I don't know, it's a bit debatable.

31/05/2026: The pizzeria is very distinctive, and the pizzas are excellent in terms of both their texture and impact, the ingredients are truly high-quality, and the combinations of the ingredients are well-executed. Highly recommended.

26/06/2026: The best seafood cuisine I took during my travel in Cagliari. The mussel soup and lobster 🦞 pasta are delicious 😋 the waiter is also very nice and give me additional mussel soup. Really appreciated!

23/06/2026: I don't know if it's a hidden gem, I don't think so, but it's well worth a visit to enjoy traditional, home-style cooking. The kind where quality ingredients, flavor, and quantity take precedence over other, less important aspects.

04/04/2026: We stumbled on this restaurant by accident on a busy Friday night as it was the only restaurant with decent reviews that could seat us and were absolutely blown away. We ordered the tuna carpaccio, the sea bass “Antonino” and the seada for the desert and each course was more delicious than the last. Easily the best food we ate on Sardinia, friendly service and great value for money.

07/07/2026: Highly recommended restaurant; the seafood dishes are excellent. I had the fregola allo scoglio, the swordfish rolls, and a portion of grilled vegetables. All three dishes were meticulously prepared and presented. I also really enjoyed the carasau bread, which they offered. The place is very charming, and the staff is very courteous and polite. I'm very satisfied; I'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything, and see you next time.

06/07/2026: Of all the places we tried during our vacation, this restaurant was my favorite. The dishes were delicious (so inviting I started eating right away without even taking a photo!) and impeccably presented. We had the octopus (special), the super tender tuna sashimi, and a first course of homemade pasta with lobster, which was not on the menu that day. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We dined under the olive tree, which created a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. I would definitely go back!

07/07/2026: A small, outstanding restaurant with very personal and excellent service, as well as absolutely exceptional food, is worth a trip! From the very beginning, communication was great, the service was incredibly attentive and child-friendly, and the staff were always attentive and extremely courteous – something that isn't a given at this level, anywhere. Special requests were handled perfectly, so even "adult" dishes were available for the children. The dishes were all uncluttered and not overly elaborate, but rather down-to-earth and honest, using only the highest quality ingredients, prepared with palpable love for the food, resulting in a dish that offers an absolute harmony that is second to none.
