08/07/2026: We were regular customers of this restaurant and even recommended it to friends. Unfortunately, our last experience was very disappointing. When it came time to pay, we were asked for €180. As this amount seemed too high, we requested an itemized bill. To our surprise, before presenting the detailed invoice, the price of a mussel soup had increased from €10 to €15. Even so, the total of all items on the bill was only about €145, far below the €180 initially requested. This situation left us with the feeling that there was an attempt to overcharge, which is unacceptable. They lost the trust of customers who already knew and recommended the restaurant. We will not return and advise future customers to carefully check their bill before making a payment.

24/07/2026: We had a great experience at Ristorante Barbagia. The restaurant was busy, which is why I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff were hardworking, friendly and very fast, always making sure everything was taken care of. We ordered the traditional Sardinian Porceddu (roast suckling pig), and it was juicy, tender and full of flavour. I also had the boar, and it was exceptional. The meat was incredibly soft, juicy and literally melted in my mouth. The potatoes served with the dishes were also excellent and perfectly cooked. We also tried the salmon pasta, which was delicious and full of flavour. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes, which were very generous and definitely worth it. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Olbia. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent, but make sure to reserve a table in advance because the restaurant is almost always full.

21/07/2026: I can definitely give it 5 stars and compliment the entire staff. The location is spectacular. It was wonderful to have an aperitif on the third-floor terrace, where the staff was kind and smiling. The singer was also excellent, with perfect music. The appetizers were top marks. The restaurant on the second floor is beautiful, where Carmine welcomes you with professionalism and kindness. Arianna, the top waitress, was magnificent, friendly, and super helpful. Excellent food, fair and honest prices. I highly recommend it.

11/08/2026: The place is gorgeous, the food is good, although I found the seafood appetizers a bit salty. The service is a bit slow, but they're very friendly. The main flaw is the portions, which are incredibly small. In particular, we ordered the €50 tasting menu excluding drinks, which left us all hungry. We had to go to Pula for a giant ice cream.

12/06/2026: I went to this place for the first time on my brother's recommendation. The place is very cute, the staff and the owner are really kind, and the food is excellent! The fish is very fresh, and you can even eat raw fish. I recommend everyone to stop by. You'll definitely be satisfied.

16/10/2025: Lovely atmosphere and welcoming atmosphere. We had mussel soup as an appetizer and grilled sea bass and vegetables as a main course. The food was excellent. However, the total bill was a bit disappointing. The quality/price ratio was too low for the location and the outskirts of town.

14/10/2025: I stopped in for a quick lunch after reading the reviews. The welcome was warm and the place was nice. I ordered a seafood salad, completely tasteless and of questionable quality, and some roasted cuttlefish, which were neither good nor bad.

08/06/2026: I've had food poisoning for five days. It's a shame because the waiters were pleasant. I've had stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea for five days and it's still not going away.

08/06/2026: Overall, a great experience. Everything we ordered was delicious (Machiavello appetizer, roasted pecorino, red shrimp linguine, tuna tataki, and crema catalana). The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant (inside table, not very crowded). For two appetizers, one first course, one second course, one dessert, two waters, and two glasses of white wine, we spent €107. Prices are still high, but it's the best we've had so far in Alghero.

09/06/2026: Fregula with seafood ragù, culurgiones (a type of pasta), octopus alla diavola (a type of octopus cooked in a spicy sauce), and chiusoni (a type of pasta cooked in a gallurese style). A good Vermentino, and the dinner exceeded expectations. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

05/03/2026: We stopped for lunch while passing through, and the selection was better than expected. It's a shame we don't live nearby, otherwise it would be a great place to stop.

04/08/2026: A very bad experience. The food wasn't good, the service was appalling, and the waitress was unfriendly. Don't order the mojitos; they're tasteless with far too much lemon. If you order fish, peel it yourself to avoid ending up with barely half a piece on your plate. Avoid this place.

03/08/2026: This restaurant is one to avoid, because we ordered appetizers. They served us the main courses at the same time as the appetizers; the mojitos were acidic, so we left them on the table. Neither they nor I offered any compensation whatsoever. A truly pathetic tourist trap.

09/08/2026: The restaurant's breathtaking location is superb, overlooking the church in the small square in the heart of Iglesias' old town. With dishes like fregola, dorado, and other seafood, "Villa di Chiesa" perfectly represents Sardinian cuisine. I couldn't find a single negative point. Making a reservation is always a good idea, as the restaurant is usually very busy, and deservedly so.

07/08/2026: The service was terrible: they didn't even bring the drinks on time and served all the dishes except one, which arrived another 20 minutes late. To make matters worse, they took forever to bring the bill and didn't even have the decency to offer the delayed drink or dish; they showed no sign of any kindness or sense of responsibility, which says a lot about them.

08/08/2026: We absolutely do not recommend this place. The staff were quite unpleasant and unfriendly, especially the manager, who seemed rather rude. Furthermore, they charge €2.50 per person for the cover charge, meaning €5 just for two people to sit down, which we found excessive considering the experience and the service we received. There are many other places in town where you can eat much better and, above all, where the service is much friendlier. We certainly wouldn't be returning.

10/07/2026: If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with fantastic food in Cagliari, this is your spot. Fantastic wine and spaghetti vongole. The tiramisu was one of the best we had all holiday.
