We ate at Via Mare and were absolutely delighted. The mussels as a starter were incredibly delicious and definitely a highlight. The service was also excellent – ​​the waiter was very friendly and even spoke German, which was a real plus. We had a starter, main course, and dessert, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Overall, a truly wonderful evening with fantastic food and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We stopped at Via Mare Ristorante Pizzeria Gelateria Artigianale while staying nearby and were honestly pleasantly surprised. From the outside and on the map, it almost feels like you’re heading to a random roadside building in the countryside, but once you arrive, the place opens up into a modern and very well-designed restaurant with a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the surrounding hills and mountains. Parking was extremely easy, which is something we’ve learned to appreciate in Sardinia, especially in smaller towns. The location is peaceful and relaxed, away from the busy tourist areas, giving it a much more authentic local atmosphere. The interior and terrace decoration were tasteful and contemporary without trying too hard — clean lines, soft colors, local touches, and a very airy feeling overall. You can tell the owners care about the presentation and ambiance. The food itself was excellent. Everything felt fresh, well-prepared, and generous without being overly complicated. The dessert in particular was fantastic — the chocolate fondant served warm with ice cream was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. One of those desserts you order thinking you’ll just have a few bites and end up finishing entirely. Service was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the pacing of the service felt relaxed and comfortable, perfectly matching the atmosphere of the restaurant. The whole experience felt calm, authentic, and very good value for money considering the quality of the setting and food. Definitely a place worth visiting if you are in the Bari Sardo area or driving through Ogliastra. It may not look like much at first glance from the road, but it turned out to be one of the nicest dining experiences we had during our stay in Sardinia.

A lovely, authentic restaurant with great food. Fish dishes and really good pizzas. We went there several times because it was simply good and not a tourist trap. Understandably, it wasn't as busy in May as it probably would be in the summer. Therefore, everything was relaxed in terms of waiting times. Very clean. Highly recommended.

A truly authentic local Italian restaurant with friendly and professional service. It can get busy, but the service is quick. We opted for the culurgiones and the swordfish pizza, both of which were incredible. Next time, we'll try the grilled meats, as the traditional pizza oven works wonders. Special mention to the waiter who set up an outdoor table inside because the restaurant was full 🫶🏽 P.S.: Sunday nights are a party, and there's dancing 🥳 Grazie mille
