14/10/2025: Osteria Sant’Angelo – Gallipoli, Italy What a wonderful find! Tucked in the narrow streets of Gallipoli’s old town, Osteria Sant’Angelo turned out to be one of the best meals of my trip. The setting is charming — stone walls, soft lighting, and that unmistakable southern Italian warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. I started with a seafood appetizer that was as fresh as it gets, followed by homemade pasta that tasted like it came straight from a family kitchen. Everything was simple, honest, and full of flavor — exactly what good Italian cooking should be. The staff were fantastic: friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve. They recommended a local white wine that paired perfectly with the meal. Dessert — a classic tiramisù — was the perfect finish. If you’re in Gallipoli and want a true taste of Puglia, don’t miss this place. Osteria Sant’Angelo isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience that captures the heart of Italy: good food, good wine, and good people.

05/10/2025: Stop in Sternatia for the Cammino del Salento and dine here at La Porta Antica. We ordered the fritto misto, tagliolini with radicchio, shrimp, and orange, linguine with lemon pesto and shrimp, and for dessert, pistachio spumone and chocolate soufflé. Everything was delicious, and the first courses were generous and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it; the food is truly delicious. Congratulations, well done! 25/09/2025: This restaurant also has outdoor seating. Typical Salento dishes, excellent quality, a little above average but the quality is worth it. Wide selection. Recommended. If we return to the area, we'll definitely return to this place; it's worth a detour.

05/10/2025: We had a lovely lunch here at weekend. The food was super delicious. The service wasn’t really good at first due to the lack of staff, but after a while it got better. Highly recommended for experiencing local food in a local vibe.

We had a hard time finding the entrance, but just call and they'll direct you (from the dirt road, continue straight, turn right, and you're there; then walk to the beach walkway, marked with lights and torches). Excellent seafood, right on the waterfront. A welcoming, elegant atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

30/09/2025: We were absolutely thrilled with the food; everything was hot and delicious. The squid in the seafood pasta was the most tender I've ever eaten in my life. 🥳 Wow! The staff was very attentive and friendly. Despite our language barrier, it was very easy to communicate without stress. The ambiance with the sea view was, of course, also beautiful. The only negative was the bright lights, which somewhat spoiled the tranquility. But you can definitely overlook that, as the main thing, the food, was simply magnificent. Definitely recommended 👍🏼🥰

26/08/2025: The kindness of Mr. Maurizio Cezzi: if only we could give him 100 stars! The well-kept, harmonious, and clean grounds inspire a sense of relaxation and well-being. The climbing plants on the property are stunning, a peaceful retreat ideal for unwinding from the daily grind and reconnecting with nature. The private and convenient pool is also available.

24/08/2025: My boyfriend and I vacationed at Tenuta Sant'Andrea. The place is truly fabulous, strategically located for reaching the most beautiful places. We had a wonderful time. Matteo's kindness and hospitality were priceless. He made us feel at home right away and gave us helpful tips on all the places to visit. For anyone looking for a vacation in Salento, Tenuta Sant'Andrea is an absolute must!

07/10/2025: GOOD but… DON'T GET THE RAW FISH! So let's start with the fact that the fried fish is very good. Like the other appetizers we ordered… but there's one big, big flaw. The raw seafood… too expensive for such an overly elaborate dish. But ugly, tasteless… only beautiful to look at. 3 flavorless tartares, not the best fish (by type), accompanied by a flask of boh-infused oil (sour, inedible, to be avoided). Except for this salty aside, which we could have easily avoided… The appetizer was good! And the first courses… WELL, my friend… The lobster first course was “SCARY”!! Beautiful, colorful, substantial, fresh, and so on. 2 important notes, however: 1st, well done for the selection of bitters (probably a local company, a series of very nice bitters found in many restaurants in the area). Second, you can't be a Michelin-recommended restaurant... and you have no system or way to keep the dining room cool. Two air conditioners, one of which is turned off due to condensation... too bad that in the summer, with wine, dinner becomes unbearable. The raw ham (which leaves much to be desired) and the heavy sweating on the plate cost them one star in this review. Turn on the fan now!!!!

05/10/2025: I wonder how this place can have such excellent reviews. The location, as they say (an unbearable term), may be beautiful, but the important thing in a restaurant is to eat good, quality, and tasty food. None of that is true at this restaurant. I'd even call it awful; we've rarely had such a bad meal (we're a couple who travel the world). No customer service, we left some dishes behind, and they never once spoke to us to ask if everything was okay. Absolutely avoid.

03/10/2025: Even from the outside, the unusual vegetation is evident: a Cereus cactus protrudes from the wall, blooming abundantly, a prelude to plump, sweet fruits. The interior is well-lit with discreet lighting and boasts a wealth of plant diversity. The elegant and welcoming dining room is a perfect setting for dinner. The dishes are excellent and the value is good. Excellent service.

25/09/2025: Nice, clean place, everything in order, but I think four portions of mixed fish, which we all know what that is, three portions of raw mollusks, one of which I don't remember the name but remember as very round, with an almost inedible fruit that released a brownish color and an unpleasant taste (so they stayed there), a 0.75 bottle of wine for three, and a water. Still, mineral water: €183 seems exaggerated to me; perhaps the price included the beautiful sunset. 6/30/2025 I still have the receipt. The owner replied to me saying that maybe I don't even know what I ordered... well, I know what I ordered, I just didn't remember the name of a mollusk, and I thank him for reminding me. Anyway, my thoughts remain the same 😘😘😘
