19/07/2025: For being a seafood restaurant, the tuna was absolutely horrible. It was well done, which made it tough and dry. There was also no sauce or carbohydrates to eat instead. Not recommended for tourists because the staff can't communicate in English The only plus is the view. Sadly, there are people who stand close to the tables and smoke.

18/07/2025: Quick dinner with my family – grilled tuna, swordfish, and monkfish. Only two other parties were at the restaurant. After 20 minutes, we were served three extremely dry, well-done dishes. We pointed it out, but no one seemed to care. I was annoyed – ruining such fine ingredients, especially in Italy, is a crime. When I mentioned the poor quality while paying, the owner started yelling. In my opinion, he shouldn’t work in hospitality. I paid and left to find a proper dinner elsewhere.

28/07/2025: Trovato grazie ai consigli di Tripadvisor. Il primo impatto ti lascia un po perplesso, locale spartano ma il cibo ottimo, quando inizi a gustare le pietanze ti rendi conto del perché di tutte quelle recensioni positive. Ci tornerò! Consigliatissimo

27/07/2025: Un locale storico, dove accoglienza, cortesia e cucina di alta qualità sono da sempre una certezza. Nonostante si trovi nel cuore di una delle mete turistiche più rinomate e frequentate del Salento, questo ristorante si distingue per l’attenzione alla freschezza delle materie prime e la cura nella preparazione dei piatti. Il personale è presente, cordiale, accogliente ed attento. L’ambiente è informale, ma curato. Ideale per una cena rilassante. I piatti raccontano il mare, con sapori autentici e ben bilanciati, e la vista-mare che si scorge dal ristorante rende l’esperienza ancora più suggestiva. Un posto che consiglio vivamente a chi desideri gustare dell’ottimo pesce preparato con competenza e passione per la cucina salentina di mare.

02/08/2025: Thank you for deleting my previous review, where I did nothing but tell the truth about the ABSENT service from the wait staff, where there's no attention to the customer, not even when explaining what's being brought to the table or indicating whether or not allergens are present. The location is nice, with a lovely garden, but the food, I have to say, is average, with no praise whatsoever. Would I go back? No.

29/07/2025: As always, a sure thing. We usually order pizza. We've changed, and we've had an appetizer and a first course, both delicious. The staff is friendly, courteous, and fast.

02/06/2025: Habíamos estado tomando unas copas en el bar de La Piazza, pero esperamos hasta nuestra penúltima noche para visitar el restaurante. Al igual que con otros lugares en Poggiardo, nos sorprendió que un restaurante tan inteligente y popular acechaba detrás de un pequeño bar. Éramos un grupo grande incluyendo niños, pero a pesar de que el menú es de gama alta que algunos de nuestros otros destinos, el propietario se aseguró de que tuvimos una comida brillante. Parte de la comida era simplemente excepcional, con mención especial para el risotto de tomate y el ragu de cordero (que hizo un buen cambio a la orrechiette de tomate. . ). No es barato pero buena relación calidad-precio, y había toques agradables en todo (incluyendo una excelente botella de limoncello al final). Fantástico lugar.

30/04/2025: La crema di piselli freschi che ha aperto le danze è stata come un'annunciazione: ha fatto intuire che la serata sarebbe stata foriera di grandi piaceri. E non poteva essere diversamente, perché tutto quello che la dolcissima padrona di casa ha servito successivamente è da iscrivere alla categoria degli "unforgettable". Grande qualità ed eccezionale cortesia. Mi sono sentito a casa.

09/07/2025: Stayed with the family two nights. We were given a room for the five of us on the third floor. Very nice and clean room with a very large terrace and a beautiful view. We could see all the way to Gallipoli! The breakfast was good and the staff at breakfast were 5 stars! Sympathy and sense of humor! Nice swimming pool and a free car parking as well. Recommended!

10/06/2025: I spent 5 days in this wonderful place Very kind staff always available reception always open with caretaker Large and comfortable rooms I had a room with a balcony Swimming pool structure everything always very clean and very functional Nothing is missing Breakfast and especially excellent restaurant Traditional dishes and always fresh fish Spectacular swimming pool and garden very well cared for in the smallest details Large convenient parking I hope to be able to return

11/08/2025: Déjeuner en famille à 4 avec 2 grands ado garçons, rien à dire sur la qualité mais n’espérez pas caler vos ado avec 1 seul plat de pâtes les quantités sont vraiment juste donc comptez en 2 et du coup une note de 30 à 40€ / pers

26/07/2025: Honnêtement le plat était excellent! Cependant c est beaucoup trop cher pour ce que l’on a dans l’assiette? J’ai mangé de l’espadon et la tranche était trop fine avec des légumes croquants en faible quantité.

31/07/2025: Catastrophic, DO NOT GO THERE. We booked at 9:30 PM and started eating at 11:00 PM. We asked for water and a waiter said he would be happy to bring it to us. We had two hungry children and they had to wait forever. The staff was arrogant and the boss showed us the order that had been placed at 10:00 PM without even apologizing. For two coffees, it took them 5 minutes to bring them to us because there were no more people inside. I ADVISE YOU NOT TO GO THERE. They are pretty awful. And I treated them!!!!!!!

The new location is beautifully redone - the kind of place where you’re not sure if you’re supposed to eat or just nod appreciatively at the lighting fixtures. Very contemporary, very clean, very “let’s open a bottle and order everything with tentacles.” 🐙 The menu is fish-focused (big surprise, given the name) but doesn’t just play the hits, there’s a nice mix of local and creative without getting too fancy. You won’t need a translator, a sommelier, or a second mortgage. The staff? Genuinely lovely. The kind of people who smile like they actually mean it - rare and deeply appreciated. And yes, the gin flows. Pair your cozze with a cocktail and pretend you’re making healthy life choices. Highly recommend if you like seafood, don’t mind a little modern flair, and appreciate being treated like a human instead of a table number. 🐟🍸

23/07/2025: Extremely rude staff. When we arrived around 11 AM and politely asked for two sunbeds with an umbrella, we were rudely and condescendingly told that we shouldn’t expect to get a spot without a reservation. When my eyes briefly wandered to an obviously free area, we were snapped at and told not to even look at those sunbeds – they were “already reserved” anyway. For me, unprovoked rudeness is absolutely unacceptable, especially at a place that charges premium prices and presents itself as high-end. I expect professionalism, courtesy, and respectful treatment of guests. A clear never again for me – not recommended.

22/07/2025: A bit crowded, but that's to be expected in July. The beach is convenient, and the restaurant's prices are a bit higher than other beaches in the area, but the excellent service makes up for it. The bar is reasonably priced and well-stocked, and the staff is very friendly.
