24/03/2026: La Battigia, Bari – Beautiful to look at, disappointing to taste The place is wonderful, meticulously crafted and aesthetically pleasing: that's precisely what captivates you. It's a shame the food isn't up to par. I ordered French oysters with elderflower champagne: at first sip, the drink was bitter and unpleasant, and the oysters were full of sand. My 4-year-old son, usually a big eater, refused the orecchiette with sauce because of the intense smell of dampness and pecorino cheese, so strong it was nauseating. When we asked for a change of napkins, the waiter candidly replied that they were from the dry cleaners. The four-course tasting menu was a disaster: every dish was overly salty, with no attention to detail or balance in the flavors. For almost €100 per person, the quality of the food was simply unacceptable. And to top off the experience, I got severe food poisoning from the oysters. In short: a beautiful place to look at, but the food turns the experience into a gastronomic nightmare. Impeccable aesthetics, forgettable cuisine.

18/03/2026: Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Bari. The service is attentive and fast, the venue is very well-maintained, and the quality of the food is beyond question. If you're in Bari, I recommend a visit to La Battigia; you won't regret it.

The food deserves a solid 4/5: the fish was fresh and beautifully presented, with a good variety of dishes on the menu. Some of the dishes were truly excellent, although there's still room for improvement to reach absolute excellence. The service, however, was impeccable (5/5). The staff was friendly, attentive, and always available, without ever being intrusive. Wait times were short, and everything was handled with great professionalism. The ambiance is another strong point (5/5): a refined, elegant, and relaxing place, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. The atmosphere truly contributes to a pleasant experience. 06/02/2026: Excellent restaurant in the heart of Corigliano d'Otranto. The all-you-can-eat menu is excellent, with excellent value and dishes that are both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The staff is attentive to detail, friendly, and very professional. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening with friends. I will definitely be back.

30/11/2025: Grandma Rosa moves me every time, because I feel like a child again when I accompanied Dad Nicola to the fishmonger's. I remember a kind of childlike happiness. Her joke was always the same: 'Only what you see'? This phrase was a sort of sesame seed! The fishmonger would go to the back and immediately display a crate with the best catch of the night. I smiled every time, happy and incredulous at the same time. I still wonder today what this statement could have evoked in the eyes of the owner?! I'm sitting here today at the Nonna Rosa restaurant in Muro Leccese. And I always ask myself the same thing. Why does this place bring back memories? Why? Perhaps it's Claudia's cheerful smile, reassuring and friendly? Or the simplicity of the dishes, anything but banal? The pervasive calm that prepares the palate? 08/04/2026: A small, cozy trattoria where you'll immediately feel at home. Tommy, the owner, is truly friendly, and the cuisine is excellent. Fresh raw seafood, delicious dishes like fried anchovies with Tropea onions and balsamic vinegar, and a superb octopus salad with homemade pickles. Excellent value for money.

12/03/2026: I'm a regular customer of this pizzeria/restaurant and am leaving this review because, for the first time, I hosted a surprise birthday party for 62 people there. I received excellent service, from the reservation to the organization, but also, and above all, throughout the evening: good food, excellent table service despite the restaurant being full. The kindness of the owner and the staff, always available to accommodate our various requests, is priceless. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a pleasant evening.
