23/05/2025: Consigliati da un persona del luogo siamo saliti a questo locale, un po’ fuori dalla zona centrale, ed abbiamo fatto benissimo! Due antipasti eccezionali! Cozze gratinate… ma soprattutto bruschetta con lardo di calamaro… assolutamente da non perdere… poi delle fantastiche linguine con una carbonare di ricci… meraviglioso piatto condito solo con ricci di mare ma con un “ mondo” da raccontare. Prezzo in linea con la qualità… assolutamente accettabile

29/04/2025: Nel cuore di Otranto, a due passi dall'ingresso del Castello, sorge questo locale raffinato ma dalla atmosfera rilassata grazie allo staff accogliente e preparato. Aprendo il menù si comprende subito che parliamo di un locale con piatti a base di pesce ma non convenzionali. Le preparazioni sono inusuali, gli ingredienti ottimi. Alcune di esse valgono una visita come la carbonara ai ricci di mare (non con le uova ma con le uova di riccio) a dir poco strepitosa e che nessuno riesce ad imitare. Il resto dei piatti sono di uguale livello. Prezzi sopra la media ma in linea con quanto servito.

03/05/2025: A wonderful evening we spent at La Conchiglia. The food (fish) was first class and the portions were good. (Rather too much) The service was very attentive and took care of the guests. The restaurant offers a family atmosphere that fits well into the homely ambience of the town of Granitola.

22/04/2025: Inedible pasta with clams, a plain pasta without salt mixed with clams, absolutely tasteless. We found sand in the clams, I would say something that had never happened to me in a restaurant. The fried fish is not very crunchy. We left hungry because the dishes were not very substantial given a very long wait and a high bill. Very friendly staff, but this time it was all too disappointing. We won't be back again.

07/04/2025: Affezionata cliente, ma ci si può ancora stupire. Il pesce (questa volta una orata al sale) era straordinario: freschissimo, come forse non si riesce a trovare nelle pescherie della città dove vivo, e cotto alla perfezione. Giusto un gambero per ingannare l'attesa e un bicchiere di verdeca. Non serve altro per mangiare bene. Aspettiamo l'estate per mangiare anche all'aperto nella piazzetta del centro storico.

21/05/2025: A four-star hotel when it opened .....90s, if not earlier. Large structure but not old. Rooms at least need to be painted... own beach on the rocks, also for a fee for hotel guests.... A hotel that was four stars when it opened. Late socialist or early democratic style. Torn and dirty red walkways, crazy plaster in the corridor. Rooms in terrible green, old bathrooms and worn furniture. At least clean beds and sheets. Beach on rocks and opposite the entrance even for hotel guests. Restaurant with a great view and staff with bad manners...

17/05/2025: An old hotel but with a professional and very kind staff. Rich breakfast with sweet and savory. Convenient parking. To close the position facing the sea that makes it unique as its terrace. I repeat dated room but the rest .... UNBEATABLE

Mrs. Giovanna takes care of the table service which is carried out quickly and the attention towards the customer is always at the maximum. Quiet environment, good food and low price are the reasons to try it.

22/05/2025: For my tastes, unfortunately, the level of this place has gotten much worse. I used to come for the desserts which were very good but the quality of the products used has gotten worse. Furthermore, the welcome at the counter is not up to par.... The customer should always be treated with courtesy and welcome especially in a pastry shop. They have to pamper you. Instead, it seems like they are annoyed by the presence of customers and by anything they say. I am very sorry because the place is very beautiful and elegant but people cannot even understand what it means to work with a customer. Too bad

18/05/2025: Ristorante molto pretenzioso. Qualità del cibo buona. Prezzi completamente senza senso. La bottiglia di vino più economica costava 30 euro( almeno 4-5 volte il prezzo del supermercato) . Un semplice piatto di pasta 16 euro, un’insalata verde ( rucola da busta di supermercato) con 3 pomodorini 10 euro. Va bene che il ristorante è elegante e ha uno stuolo di camerieri puntuali, però i costi sono davvero molto esagerati. Non penso di consigliarlo ne’ di ritornarci

04/06/2025: Voor de 2e maal hier gegeten en was opnieuw super lekker. Je hoeft hier niet te zijn voor de hippe sfeer, sjiek of modern interieur. Maar voor een overheerlijke pizza met dunne deeg, lekkere huiswijn een bord met vlees dat smelt in de mond en vriendelijke bediening. Italiaanse keuken tussen locals.

12/05/2025: Heerlijk eten voor een hele kleine prijs. Geen opsmuk maar simpel en erg gezellig tussen de locals. Er komen nauwelijks toeristen en de bediening sprak dan ook geen Engels, maar we kwamen er met elkaar wel uit. Zelfs toen we vroegen om eerst samen een pizza te delen en daarna samen een pasta. Geen probleem en erg vriendelijk. Voor € 45 met z’n tweeën gegeten, inclusief wijn, nagerecht en koffie. We wilden fooi geven maar dat werd weggewimpeld als ‘niet nodig’.

However, the waiting times were very long, the pasta is without salt, the cutlery is dirty and among the options for vegans we only have the usual pasta with sauce and grilled vegetables. Furthermore, the table cannot choose more than two different types of first courses to prepare. For this reason, our lunch was not an optimal experience.

Dal polpo con le fave (che qualche volta vorrei ordinare come piatto a sè) o i carciofi degli antipasti (fatti in una maniera davvero particolare) ai primi e tutto il resto. Un grazie particolare a Felice (che ormai ci coccola ahah) ed a tutti i camerieri. La Locanda del Barco è diventato il mio ristorante preferito a Taranto! Grazie ed alla prossima :)

23/02/2025: Siamo usciti insieme e abbiamo cercato un posto vicino a GROTTAGLIE Invece di prendere il menu fisso abbiamo preso tutto alla carta antipasti mare e terra con ottime materie prime Risotto e ravioli con burrata da consigliare I dolci buoni Personale cortese attento e presente Forse il conto un po’ oltre ma per quello che abbiamo mangiato ci sta

11/05/2025: "Nice" pizza, a traditional dough but good for digestion, if it were for the pizza the rating would have been 4, but smoking at the cash register in the closed place, with diners still seated and charging 3 euros for a cover charge without including water or bread but simply two cutlery and a napkin is also not!

I don't like to give a bad rating to a place like that because it's not very fair, but considering the rude treatment, as soon as they found out that we were not Italian and had to speak to us in English (no one speaks English), they were completely arrogant and rude. The food was half raw, and you can only order certain dishes for two people, which is completely illogical because what if the other person wants to eat something different. Also, the terrace is very drafty. They definitely have delicious dishes, but because of the raw food and rude treatment, they only deserve one point. I don't recommend it to tourists, only to Italians.
