22/03/2025: Walking through the streets of Otranto it is a pleasure to have lunch at the Oste. A characteristic and tastefully furnished restaurant in a Mediterranean style, with the colors of Salento that warm your heart. The host Eliseo, with his culinary skills and his delicacies, made us lick our lips, especially with the fried cod and the pasta with monkfish. Alessandro welcomes us with a smile and professionalism, he made us feel at home right away. I have already been back three times and I will return very soon!

09/03/2025: Un ristorante nel centro di Marittima, gestito da Antonio e Virgilio. Abbiamo mangiato delle eccellenti pizze ben farcite e delle linguine ai frutti di mare. Consiglio vivamente il posto sia per la qualità dei prodotti che per il costo. Complimenti

08/02/2025: Cena tutto sommato niente male ma nel momento del pagamento la signora dietro la cassa ha fatto la “furbetta” Vado a pagare con carta American Express e in un primo momento mi dice che il locale non la accetta, io le faccio presente che sulla mappa American Express il locale in questione risulta accettatore di carte American Express e magicamente lei mi dice che c’è un altro pos a sua disposizione ma che purtroppo non avendo fatto nessuna transazione quella sera con questi tipi di carta mi ha quasi costretto a pagare con un’altra carta che non fosse American Express, quindi hanno fatto i furbetti, se mi offri un servizio lo devi rispettare altrimenti non lo offrire proprio che fai più bella figura Con questa furbata dopo che ci sono stato diverse volte in questo locale ovviamente non mi vedranno mai più proprio perché mi hanno preso in giro

08/02/2025: Il locale è accogliente il personale gentile ma poco attento. Abbiamo ordinato un gelato per celiaci e il camerieri nel servizio non era certo che lo fosse. È stato sostituito immediatamente ma forse non hanno compreso il disagio e la preoccupazione dell'ospite celiaca. Abbiamo mangiato dei primi discreti forse avremmo fatto meglio a mangiare la pizza che sembrava molto buona

13/01/2025: Esperienza nel complesso buona ma bisogna fare attenzione, ci sono prodotti buoni, di qualità del territorio (costosi) mentre la maggior parte dei prodotti sono da grande distribuzione, mi aspettavo molto di più visto ciò che si dice online…. Non ci ritornerei

09/04/2025: Recently renovated building in the historic center of Taranto. The renovation of the structure is beautiful, which also houses rooms in addition to the restaurant on the ground floor facing the sea. Friendly staff available to satisfy customer requests. Good cuisine based on seafood dishes, some more typical, others a little revisited but with taste. The only thing that I didn't like was the choice of long pasta for the first courses which, instead of being made from durum wheat, was fresh and unfortunately turned out to be a little rubbery. We would have preferred it to be more al dente but the flavors were very good. Anyway, worth trying again!

17/02/2025: A welcoming restaurant facing the sea in Savelletri, friendly staff attentive to food intolerances. Fresh fish makes the dishes delicious. We ate black tagliolino, pistachio pesto, prawns and crispy bacon; spaghetti all'assassina with straciattella and red prawns; gluten-free spaghetti with sea urchin pulp (super); fried fish and gluten-free fish on the grill; a good sorbet to end on a sweet note. Good quality-price.

29/03/2025: Horrible experience. Cashier who is not even at the supermarket, “welcomed” us smoking in a closed place where smoking is FORBIDDEN. He answered our questions about the reservation with condescension, as if he were doing us a favor. Minimal portions and exorbitant prices, probably hoping to grab tourists unaware of the average prices in Italy (like the poor Americans who were with me). With a 3 euro cover charge I would expect at least some cutlery that cuts. Incredibly rude even at the time of payment, they complained three times in a row about the fact that we had asked for separate bills (even though we had politely detailed the dishes). The worst experience I had in Lecce and I was born in Lecce.

16/04/2025: Decent food, but overpriced. Great raw fish options. Second course (risotto) was decent but not spectacular. What did overkill the entire bill was the price for the beverage and coperto. (30 Euro for 3 glasses of local wine and 4 euro per person - coperto)

08/03/2025: Arrivati nel ristorante ci hanno subito proposto crudi di mare, è stato detto che non ne volevamo ma hanno insistito sui ricci ed è stato risposto che preferivamo evitare. Ci siamo fatti portare il menù ma è finto...nel senso che potevamo solo ordinare quello proposto a voce, magari sarebbe più corretto ridurre il menù dato che non ci sono quelle alternative, almeno per noi non era possibile ordinarle. Un primo era spaghetti a cozze e vongole ma di vongole solo i gusci e fatti pagare a caro prezzo i gusci, spaghetti con polpa di ricci in vasetto e per nulla saporito. 9 persone 6 antipasti, un primo a testa, 3 bottiglie di vino €405 credo che uno sproposito anche per la qualità delle cose mangiate. Ormai ristorante turistico...consiglierei di tornare al passato quando era un buon ristorante....da evitare

17/03/2025: Era da molto tempo che io e mia moglie desideravamo pranzare in questo ristorante dalla posizione davvero suggestiva; se ci si accomoda vicino le grandi vetrate si ha la sensazione di cenare o pranzare sul mare. Ho chiamato alle ore 10 di una domenica per prenotare un tavolo per due alle 13.30, Arriviamo purtroppo con 10’ di ritardo causa difficoltà di trovare un parcheggio. Locale pienissimo, attendiamo all’ingresso per almeno 5’ in attesa che qualcuno del personale, vedendoci lì impalati, si fermi a chiederci qualcosa, ma nulla. Raggiungo il bancone del bar per chiedere del tavolo da me prenotato ma mi viene detto che la prenotazione era alle 13 (sbagliato). Capisco che il tavolo è stato dato ad altre persone arrivate prima di noi. Avevano il mio numero di telefono, potevano contattarmi nel caso…per quale motivo chiederlo al cliente se poi non lo si usa?. Scopro infatti sul bancone il bigliettino della mia prenotazione con scritto il mio cognome, data ed orario…13.30!! Mi dicono di attendere il primo tavolo che si sarebbe liberato…decidiamo di rimanere visto che avevamo viaggiato un’ora ed erano ormai le 14. A breve si libera un tavolo da quattro; gli ospiti vanno via dopo più di mezz’ora di attesa per il solo menù che non è arrivato…comincio a preoccuparmi. Alla fine ci sediamo e dopo lunghe e ripetute attese ci portano prima i menù, poi le ordinazioni e poi i piatti da noi ordinati. Devo purtroppo riscontrare una visibile disorganizzazione non tanto in sala dove c’era molto personale, quanto in cucina immagino. Devo dire che i camerieri, tra una battuta e l’altra si sono scusati tante volte per le lunghe attese. Abbiamo ordinato antipasti misti per due (20€/persona) e due secondi per un totale di 90€ senza vino. Qualità nella media; non sono stato particolarmente colpito. Non credo ci ritornerò; peccato perché il locale e la sua posizione erano davvero buone.

16/03/2025: First and last time at Renzina, we sat down, we ordered 2 types of first courses, children's Orecchiette and schnitzel, we asked several times for more bread which arrived after more than half an hour, we also asked for wine twice, the first 2 first courses arrived, our friends ate, after 20 minutes the other first courses arrived, the children's Orecchiette arrived after almost an hour, the children should eat first and then the adults... same story for the frying, we practically ate at round, after all this waiting the dishes were also cold... I conclude with: there is a writing above the bar counter where it says "And so we went out to see the stars again" now I also understand why, practically you enter when it is day and leave when it is night. (The only positive note was a good, friendly and very kind waitress). Never again!
