28/04/2026: Simplicity, good ingredients, and a well-thought-out system. We order at the counter and eat across the street. This is the first time I've ever encountered someone paying cash by inserting money directly into the machine at the register. Friendly service. Seafood at a great price. I definitely recommend it!

27/04/2026: I ordered a mixed grill and other dishes including a seafood salad. After paying and checking at the cashier that everything was there, the staff said yes. I got home and the seafood salad was missing. I called and requested home delivery for the salad, but nothing. Even though the mistake wasn't mine, I have to find the time to go back there at least to get my money back, otherwise, not even that.

31/05/2026: The location is great, right on the beach. The property is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decades old. Clean but very worn. The rooms lack kettles, coffee, tea, water, or drinking glasses. The air conditioning is noisy but doesn't cool well. Delicious coffee for breakfast.

31/05/2026: I give it one star because it's the only way to give it less. Terrible experience: poor hygiene and dangerous structural problems. Avoid. I stayed at this 3/4-star hotel hoping for a comfortable experience, but I was extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, the facility does not meet minimum hygiene and maintenance standards. Here are the main problems I encountered during my stay: • Cleanliness: The sanitary conditions were unacceptable. Bathroom: The shower was broken and unusable. Furniture: The bedside table in the room was damaged. Safety: The most serious problem concerns the electrical system. The only outlet was burned out, and the plastic cover on the wall was broken and extremely dangerous. I left before the scheduled nights and they wanted payment for both one night already paid for by the person who had organized the conference I attended plus the extra night. So I explained the situation to the reception, explaining why I was leaving, also having to find new accommodations, and that if they had insisted I would have called the NAS. I do not recommend this property to anyone, especially considering the hotel's declared category. I am surprised that anyone still chooses it. Close immediately.

26/04/2026: Nothing special. It was definitely low season, but perhaps I had a different expectation, so I was a little disappointed. The waiter was kind, but he seemed to lack everything. The prices were good, but lacking character. The caciocavallo and house Negroamaro wine were good.

27/03/2026: Nice family restaurant with a warm atmosphere. I had fish fillet and grilled vegetables. Nice flavors. Very good house red wine. Absolutely wonderful waiter who makes the heart melt. My husband had stuffed mussels which was not so good. But the pasta was good, and the bread (for being in Italy)

22/03/2026: WOW! The food is wonderful 🤩 Everything is delicious. The only flaw is in one of the off-menu dishes, the spaghetti with lobster. The lobster is very chewy, but otherwise it's a spectacle. Trust me and go there.

The restaurant is located in Acaya, a small village in the province of Lecce, a short walk from the castle. There's a lovely fireplace. The service is friendly. 100% recommended.

Alex Restaurant offers not only exceptional seafood but also hospitality of the highest standard. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.
