02/05/2026: The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, suitable for parties and ceremonies, especially outside. It's well-maintained and perfect for souvenir photos. The cuisine is excellent, with a wide selection of meat and fish first and second courses, but above all, the quality is excellent. The pizza is also good. The homemade desserts are spectacular. The staff is friendly and even helpful. The restrooms are impeccably clean.

23/12/2025: An elegant and refined location with pleasant background music. Refined cuisine from the entrée: the octopus on creamed potatoes and the tartlets with cream cheese and hazelnuts were excellent. The house brown bread with whole grains served warm, accompanied by a taste of fabulous Apulian extra virgin olive oil. The Riserva San Massimo rice with black garlic, chili pepper, and shrimp tartare was excellent, as were the buckwheat tagliatelle with hare and royale sauce. The poached egg with Jerusalem artichoke, Parmesan fondue, and black truffle were delicious, although, in my opinion, the flavors were slightly disconnected. The lime mondeghini were a real treat. Everything was accompanied by a good bottle of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. The service was courteous and professional. We will definitely be back.

05/05/2026: Great food. I ordered the Milanese cutlet, it was very good, although it lacked a side dish or sauce. The salmon with avocado was perfect.

04/05/2026: We chose the restaurant without high expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the tagliolino rosso al persico e limoni del Garda and the chitarra mantecata ai crostacei, crema all’aglio e tartare di gamberi as primi, in addition to the involtino di branzino e gamberi e salsa ai crostacei as secondo to share. Everything was very tasty, but the chitarra deserves special mention — truly incredible, very well executed and with a distinctive sauce. In the heart of Sirmione, where touristy options predominate, it was a pleasant surprise to find a quieter place with quality food and without that "tourist trap" feel. We left very satisfied; it was an experience that exceeded our expectations.

They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive, with their jokes, explanations of the dishes, and a level of customer service that is truly rare these days. The food is wonderful: seemingly simple, yet meticulously crafted, with that special touch that truly makes the difference. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the quality of the ingredients is simply exceptional. Furthermore, the portions are generous. Each dish is presented with passion and expertise, and you can taste the love that goes into each preparation. The ambiance also deserves special mention: minimalist, elegant, new, and meticulously designed, perfect for enjoying a relaxed, quality dinner. Last but not least, the prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the product and the experience offered. When you find such fresh ingredients, such attentive service, and such genuine care, spending money is inevitable. It's one of those places where you don't just eat well, but have a true experience. We'll definitely be back!

15/05/2026: A wonderful surprise at Antica Osteria Italia (By Hotel Italia) in Certosa di Pavia 😄 Very fast, very kind, and above all, ridiculous prices for what they offer: €11 for a full meal, including drinks and cover charge. Something that seems almost impossible to find these days. The food is good, the atmosphere is simple and honest, and it feels like a classic "old-school" place, which unfortunately is increasingly rare in my part of Livorno. Truly amazing!

04/05/2026: ---- A Million Reasons Not to Choose Them ---- We had a scandalous experience at the Terraferma restaurant, Via Melchiorre Gioia, 63, Milan. We've been using The Fork for over ten years when traveling, dining out everywhere, and have never been treated with such contempt. After booking with a 50% discount through The Fork, the staff refused to apply the discount to the dishes we had chosen. We selected other dishes out of courtesy, but the disappointment was complete: rubbery veal escalope, tasteless pasta, nothing like the price. When we went to pay, and asked for an explanation and to understand why they wouldn't apply the 50% discount to the dishes we had originally chosen, the waiter became verbally aggressive, telling us to leave the establishment ("get out"), and positioning himself in front of us in an intimidating manner. We reminded them that, during the reservation process, it had never been specified that certain dishes were excluded, only that they were not included in the set menu and drinks were not. But why not clearly state this on TheFork? And it was then, at the time of payment, that they became condescending, refusing any discussion. The person acting as manager (the waitresses had pointed him out to me) couldn't speak properly and only made noises like "sutttt." I was very surprised by his behavior and especially his incompetence. To top off this deplorable experience, after leaving the restaurant, the owner reported to TheFork that we hadn't honored the reservation, which I know to be intentional to prevent any reviews. I will not remain silent: I will report this abuse to TheFork and all restaurant websites as well as on social media, because it is precisely due to such dishonest and unprofessional practices that tourists are being ripped off. Looking closely at the Google reviews, I realized that several tourists had experienced this terrible ordeal. It's very sad the image this restaurant owner has given...

01/05/2026: Their spaghetti with mussels and clams is a must try!!! The noodle texture is perfect 🤌🏻. The service is really good and they serve the food quickly. The lemon sorbet was also really yummy and the texture and taste were on point.

06/04/2026: We had lunch at Villa Baroni on Easter Monday. The property offers limited parking, but a few meters ahead, there are two free public parking lots. Because it was a special day, the restaurant was very crowded, and the wait was a bit long (but we weren't in a hurry, so it didn't bother us). The only downside was that some waiters, one in particular, was running (literally) around the room. The food was delicious; the raw fish appetizer was excellent; we highly recommend it. The view is beautiful, and after lunch, we stopped by the pool to soak up some rays. That part of the property is also very beautiful. We'll definitely be back.

31/03/2026: We celebrated our wedding at this restaurant on Lake Varese with about 20 people, and we were truly delighted. The menu was well thought out, the dishes were of excellent quality and carefully prepared, and the service was efficient, friendly, and always attentive. All our guests had a wonderful time. We definitely recommend this place for special occasions.

14/04/2026: This was our second dinner here. The ingredients are good, but it's a shame that some dishes lose their flavor along the way. For example, the spaghetti with clams had little flavor. The spaghetti with artichokes, sea bass, and bottarga, being fresh pasta, was overcooked. The desserts were good. The wines, despite the limited selection, are appreciable. The manager has the strange habit of shaking hands with everyone, both when entering and leaving... a sign of hospitality, but a little bizarre.

06/05/2026: Stopped here to just enjoy a couple of drinks and people watch,it's perfect for that. Enjoyed the snacks they brought to the table and decided to order some mussels to share. They were lovely and tasted fresh. The staff were good,though I think a couple were new and after ordering some more drinks,they seemed to have forgotten. No problem though,we asked someone else (i can only assume he was in charge of the staff)who apologised and brought them straight out. Atmosphere was good,lots of people chatting and just watching the world go by. 3 young men across the road were playing their violins too,which just added to the whole vibe..they were great too..would recommend for a couple of drinks,snacks and people watching...not sure about the larger meals as didn't order,but lovely place

05/05/2026: Dear Funiculare Team, For over 35 years we have been your guests and have stayed at your hotel many times. It always felt like coming home when we visited. Unfortunately, this was probably the last time. We used to be the focus as guests, but now it seems to us that only maximizing profits is the priority. The music blares loudly from the speakers, the cozy atmosphere is gone, the staff are energetically trying to solicit new customers as they walk by instead of paying attention to the guests already there, and in our opinion, the food has become rather subpar. And to top it all off, our waiter turned away without a word after we left a 10% tip. The restaurant's location is beautiful, and it has such a long history. It would be wonderful if the management could restore the restaurant to its former glory.
