12/07/2025: We chose the gourmet menu (80 per person, including wine) and had a terrible experience. The sommelier presented us with a French sparkling wine, passing it off as champagne, and the menu focused on celery and parsley...too much. I definitely won't be returning, which is a shame because the location is really nice and the service was excellent.

06/08/2025: Their beef is absolutely perfect, the one for two people is especially outstanding. It’s important to note, that their prices are somewhat higher than average. Staff is really friendly and charismatic.

16/06/2025: Unfortunately, exceptionally, I find myself writing a not very positive review. In particular, the dishes that were not exceptional, namely the potatoes at the base of the octopus were raw and tasteless, the first courses were also tasteless and of low quality from the point of view of pairing (I had to add oil otherwise the tagliatelle were difficult to pick up with a fork). After the first course, there was no waiter who asked us "is everything to your liking" ... "would you like something else" ... in the end, after 20 minutes with the first course plates empty, I had to ask the waiter if he could kindly take the plates away and proceed with the rest. The dessert was good ... 1 out of 5 pleasant. My children's strawberry ice cream had pieces of ice in it. Well ... the location was a positive note. Maybe I was not welcome ... maybe I had 3 children ... who made less noise than the adults at the adjacent table. Have a good evening!

21/09/2025: Review submitted: September 19, 2025 An insider tip for those seeking peace and quiet and a complete wellness package. A beautiful, charming village nestled on a hillside. Hotel with a sun terrace offering a wonderful view. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Excellent regional cuisine with excellent, affordable wines. Breakfast—nothing to complain about, very good quality.

01/09/2025: We ordered three pasta dishes, all of which were delicious. The portions were perfect for filling up but not overeating.

09/10/2025: We were there for lunch and ate inside. Authentic Italian, full of employees from the surrounding offices. The waiters were typically grim-looking, but the service was great. The Bolognese and tuna tartare were excellent.

19/09/2025: Over 12 months on in September 2025 we came back and again had the scallopini limone and it was again outstanding. This time with mash and applepie with icecream to finish off. No sign of Antonio who is now in his early 80s and slowing down a bit. We ca't wait until next time to do it all again. This was a truly memorable eveningg in MIlan. The wine and beer before after and during dinner was enjoyable and the Veal with limone was outstanding. Followed up with tiramasu for desert it was one of the culinary highlights of our European trip at 87 Euros it was good value.The pizza with fresh ham(15 euro) the next day was spectacular as well. It was interesting to see that the Boss still had the same demenour (grumpy).

20/08/2025: Excellent food & service! We loved Il Braciere already from takeaway, but dining in was even better. Every dish was delicious, and the service was exceptional – special thanks to our waiter Betim for making the experience outstanding!

11/10/2025: Excellent. Unfortunately, on Sundays, there's no à la carte menu. But they prefer to offer a set menu. I respect the choice. It's their restaurant. They decide. Obviously.

30/08/2025: Location clearly visible from the road, and with ample parking, overlooking the lake 🎯, in front!!! ... More rooms at your disposal for any banquets, or private events... Delicious focaccia di Recco, (I'm Genoese 🔝🔝🔝😊), super fried mixed, crispy and not greasy... Wide selection of wines, and selected beer, especially "Ligurian"... Kindness in the dining room, and the owner very available to accommodate the customer's needs!!.. Prices in line 👍 We will definitely be back. We thank all the staff..

06/08/2025: Although I love the restaurant, the location, and the strong family feel, I struggle to reconcile my southern tastes with the restaurant's dishes, at least for business lunches, where I often come. I'd like to find simpler, more flavorful dishes, with simpler ingredients but authentic and executed with greater skill. Otherwise, I recommend everyone try it at least once, because my opinion is extremely personal; my wife would have given everything 5 stars.

28/09/2025: We had a super nice dinner here today. Brilliant fish, pasta, bread and wine. Would definitely recommend the tiramisu as well. Friendly staff, cosy place.

25/09/2025: Very delicious food and very, very friendly local service. There were four of us, and we all chose different pasta dishes. All were excellent! We'll definitely be back!
