11/09/2025: I'd like to describe my experience at Ristorante Zi' Pina, a historic restaurant in Fiumicino with a splendid vine pergola outside. If you're looking for an authentic corner of Fiumicino where time seems to slow down and the scent of the sea mingles with that of home-cooked food, Zi' Pina is a must. Open since 1947, this historic restaurant retains the charm of a trattoria from days gone by, with a relaxed, family atmosphere. 27/08/2025: I'll start by saying the food deserves a 5-star rating. I'll start with what I didn't like: the number of appetizers brought and charged. I had asked for one supplì and a portion of Ascoli olives to nibble on. When I saw the number of items delivered, I thought it was a sign of special customer service, but instead I found myself billed for 5 supplì and 2 portions of Ascoli olives (when I remember, I'd asked for 1 and 1). I had 2 carbonaras, one amatriciana (both excellent and plentiful), a pizza with sausage and chips (excellent dough), and a sausage and potatoes. Half a white wine and water. Finally, 2 lemon sorbets, a black truffle, and 2 rounds of 2 limoncellos. All 4 limoncellos were charged, when with a dinner like that, I honestly expected at least 1 round to be offered. Of course, we asked for a double round, so it's fair to have to pay. I was definitely more annoyed by the charge for the appetizers. For the rest, the place is absolutely recommended.

02/05/2025: Ringraziamo la Sig.ra Assunta subito per gentilezza e professionalità. La mia passione è la cucina cerco sempre di cercare posti caratteristici , genuini e di livello: qui i tre fattori ci sono tutti e tre. I piatti sono prodotti sul momento. I piatti arriva arrivano sobri. Gusti equilibrati gustosi e senza strafare. La carbonara ritengo che sia un perfetto di incrocio di sapori , cremosità perfetta e soprattutto leggera: digerita all'istante. Un ristorante raro. La location è fresca al riparo dal sole, si riprende le forze . Prezzi qualità prezzo imbattibile. Alla prossima un caro saluto. PS. 18/10/2025: Welcoming and friendly atmosphere, fast and organized service despite the restaurant being full. You can also sit outside if the weather permits, as the street and Piazza Pia are closed to traffic on that side. It goes without saying that everything was delicious, but the top score goes to Rita's tiramisu, which isn't the usual one served in a glass, but a portion on a plate. I didn't photograph it because I didn't have time! Am I biased? Try it...

05/10/2025: Terrible experience. We went to this place for breakfast. We had two coffees, a maritozzo, and a puff pastry. We paid 12 euros. Given the size of the maritozzo, we kindly asked that it be cut in half. The wait staff and the owner were kind, but unfortunately, a man behind the counter (we were told he was the chef) turned to the waiter and said he should tell us to f... Because the maritozzo shouldn't be cut in half. The maritozzo wasn't even good; the yeasty taste prevailed. We won't be returning.

03/06/2025: Dopo un incontro di lavoro ci siamo fermati in questa bottiglieria per un boccone di pranzo. Ho preso un carpaccio e la parmigiana di melanzane molto gustosa.Ottima la proposta dei vini anche al bicchiere.Tutto scritto "alla romana" sulla classica lavagna.Ambiente sociale.

27/09/2025: The restaurant had the most unfriendly staff I've ever encountered. A short, stout woman who was totally annoyed that we wanted to eat with several people. She just kept yelling at us. I had to bring back the chair I'd brought so everyone could have space. She wanted us all to agree on a dish... In the end, we left without eating 😱

06/09/2025: Try the creamed cod, a world heritage site

06/09/2025: It was our first time there. The food was good and fresh, but the service and presentation left a bit to be desired. The wine bucket with ice, where there was very little, was placed on the table when other tables had bucket holders. The çrudo was served on a metal tray with two scampi and two tiny red prawns, not something you'd expect from a raw fish menu. The carpaccio was thrown there like rags, without a bit of salad or arugula. The presentation wasn't very appealing, and the scampi were badly opened, not from the belly but from the shell. We also had the creamed cod and the skate with gazpacho. They were very good, but the cod should have been accompanied with toasted bread or crispy wafers, and the skate, cooked with more flavor, was boiled and placed on the sauce. The raw fish, 2 oysters, 2 red shrimp, 2 scampi, 1 tuna tartar (very good), and two carpaccios weren't worth the €45 asking price. I repeat, everything was very good, but poorly presented. They need to rethink the plating and the proportions of the raw fish. I noticed something while reading the reviews and looking at the photos of the dishes. Has the chef changed? Our dishes weren't as beautifully presented as they were in the photos. The raw fish is always presented in a spartan way; it's not served on metal trays, but on earthenware plates, resting on a bed of lettuce or arugula, as mentioned. The prices are a bit high for the place, with tables set with paper placemats and napkins. The service also needs updating. They were very kind, I won't deny it, but the plates weren't cleared regularly. They served us coffee with the dirty plates still on the table, and I had to ask for more napkins because we only had one. Another negative note is that in seafood restaurants, you'll usually find wet wipes on the table to clean your hands after meals before you wash them.

06/10/2025: It was a shocking experience for me tonight. I won't go into the details, you'll discover them for yourselves. I'll just say that something like this has never happened to me in my life. The staff is putting themselves in trouble and, in my opinion, they work under stress and pressure. The waitress, who was large, superficial, and irresponsible, didn't handle the situation, taking the customer for granted, and made the staff feel uncomfortable seeing us all leave. The owners handled the situation like this: one said almost nothing except threatening my partner, the other raised his voice and treated us terribly, yelling at my mother and in front of my 3-year-old son, who, however, ate unlike us. Team, what can I say? It's obvious you have a lot of problems in the kitchen, and it's all having repercussions in the dining room, but where is your behavior leading you? I've noticed that you don't accept your own mistakes and the consequences, that you don't accept negative reviews. So I'll give you a positive one: congratulations! Part two: 3 adults, one child, a pizza, 3 beers, 2 supplì, and 6 Ascoli olives, the title of the movie. I call to make a reservation and ask if they have fried calamari. I arrive, wait, and nothing. I see plates of fried food coming and going. They tell me the fryer isn't working. And when do they tell me? After 45 minutes, when the owner's wife points out to the waitress that we're expecting 2 pizzas and a fried food. These are the details, now, it makes me laugh, but these are really like that!

06/10/2025: 7.15pm we order a red pizza for the child and some fried food as an appetizer, followed by a mixed fried food and two pizzas for us adults. At 7.30pm the pizza for the child and the appetizers arrived... so far so good... too bad that at 8.15pm nothing else arrived and when we asked for explanations they told us that they could not bring the mixed fried food because the fryer was not working... Too bad that after 5 minutes we see 2 fried food come out to another table... so incompetent and liars, but what is worse, incapable of admitting their mistakes when we decided to leave they told us that our pizzas were in the oven! A real shame because the pizza is very good when they manage to serve it to you, but it is clear that the owners are not in the profession and wanted to be right by claiming that the other diners had ordered the fried food before us! … the owner, calling us rude when we decided to leave, proved to be undiplomatic, so we paid for the little we were able to consume (2 supplì and 6 Ascoli olives) after staying for over an hour and we left hungry. Luckily the child got his red pizza before everyone else!
