14/07/2025: Update - Dinner on July 12, 2025 We are pleased to confirm the quality of the food during our dinner on Saturday, July 12th. However, we were deeply saddened to learn that Rudy no longer works here. For us, Rudy has always been a point of reference and a friend. In nearly nine years of frequenting us, his presence made all the difference: he paid special attention to loyal customers like us, and knowing he was here was one of the reasons we always wanted to return. Unfortunately, this time we found a very different atmosphere. Many new faces greeted us, making us feel almost like we were in a strange place. We were greeted as first-time customers, without any recognition of our long history with the restaurant. Regarding the service: It was overall decent, but there was a sense of disorganization. A typical incident: our wine was served in beer glasses, with the explanation that many of the glasses had been broken due to the new staff. This detail, while understandable, contributed to the impression that management still isn't up to its past standards. Fortunately, Flavio was there and did his best to make us feel at home, demonstrating the sensitivity we expect. His presence was a relief. In conclusion: the quality of the cuisine remains excellent, but loyalty is also built on human relationships and the recognition of longtime customers. Rudy perfectly embodied this value, and a person like him is essential. We hope the welcoming spirit that won us over can be preserved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previous review: We've been coming to this restaurant for many years now. It always feels like home. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly, although sometimes the service is too quick between courses. The food is excellent, always a guarantee! From the first moment, both Rudy and Flavio welcomed us kindly, cordially, and above all, professionally, and that remains the case today! Don't forget to order the Nutella crumble!

09/07/2025: I stopped at this restaurant for dinner with some colleagues, and what amazed me most was the quality, and the price was exceptional. The red shrimp tartare was truly amazing. The oysters were good, but a little too hot for my taste, so I didn't appreciate them very much. The raw scampi were exceptional. My colleagues then had the fettuccine with lobster, which was also amazing, especially since the pasta is homemade. The price was more than fair for the quality: €44 per person with a bottle of white wine.

26/07/2025: Very nice and welcoming location, fresh and quality food, kind and professional staff, finally clean toilets. The only flaw is the inconvenience even for the disabled, going up and down the many stairs.

24/07/2025: Everything was excellent...the scialatielli with clams were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the quality/price ratio was good.

28/07/2025: We went there for pizza. We sat down and the waiter immediately told us about the pizza menu. Without even looking at a menu like that with our eyes closed. Bruschetta (honestly, I make it better at home) and mixed fried pizza. Three different pizzas. Inedible. Maybe it's a good fish restaurant, but the pizza is a no-go. I also recommend changing the tablecloths every so often, at least when there are stains outside the runner that are visible with your eyes closed.

04/07/2025: Many are capable of serving raw food but it takes a lot of brains to invent your own language by orchestrating ingredients and flavours! We've been going there for 10 years and it's always a surprise! Well done, well done and well done! and the service guys are super good

02/07/2025: An excursion... among flavours. A delightful location and a tasting journey through the ideas, aromas and fun and tasty combinations of chef Claroni. Care and refinement of details, from the light to the mise en place. Each ingredient is top quality and is presented in its provenance and origin... from the oil, to the bread, to the oysters, truly excellent. Absolutely worth trying, to love yourself. UPDATE 11/20/2022 Every time, coming to Osteria dell'Orologio is like a small adventure in the imagination and creativity of chef Marco Claroni. This time the occasion was my partner's birthday. Enjoying those little jewels that come out of his kitchen is an immersive experience in the flavors and aromas they offer. Everything was perfect, as always: from the table for two that we had requested, to the prosecco and the welcome aperitif, to the explanation of each dish presented and, in the end, even an unexpected special off-menu dessert with a candle for the birthday girl. The attention and hospitality of the staff contribute to creating that state of well-being that accompanies you for the entire duration of the dinner. In this regard, as a last note, but certainly not least, the pleasant surprise of finding Cristian, already known from previous restaurant experiences, in the new role of maître de salle: an attentive and highly professional person. His figure and his experience add that touch that was perhaps a little lacking and which, I am sure, will take this excellent restaurant to another step.

30/07/2025: After a few years, I visited the restaurant's new location, which I've always loved and frequented. The new location is splendid! Especially during this time of year, I must say that dining outdoors in the evening has a unique charm. As always, the service is excellent, with Angela, the hostess, who immediately puts you at ease, and the staff, not only highly trained but also always ready to smile and take care of the table and the guests' needs. The food was EXCELLENT, just as I remembered. Everything was perfect!! Everything was top-notch, in an absolutely family-friendly atmosphere. Just one thing about this wonderful, renovated experience: the lack of Francesco's smile and friendliness, however, is more than made up for by the heart and quality of those who have inherited it! Congratulations, Angela, congratulations to everyone, it's impossible not to come back to "home." 20/07/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant. What can I say? I was very satisfied!!! The owners were very kind; they even advised us where to park our car, as there were no more spaces. The dishes were excellent, the fish was fresh. What can I say? I'll gladly return!

19/07/2025: Discovered through friends - it's located on a quiet street in Prima Porta. It looks more like an inn, not modern but rather old-fashioned - it still has the sign with the phone number without the area code. Roman pizza (I'm not particularly fond of it), I have to say I was surprised, it stays quite soft. Very large pizza, I struggled to finish it, I took it home and the next day it was still good for a Roman pizza!!! Very well topped and with good ingredients! The waiters are very kind. Prices are a little high for the area, but in the end, considering the quality and taste, I have to say they're okay. I'll definitely return. - They have a small private parking lot, but on weekends it's better to opt for street parking. I recommend finding parking a few minutes' walk away; there's very little parking in front of the restaurant.

05/08/2025: Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante con mio marito e abbiamo trascorso una serata davvero piacevole. Il pesce era fresco e cucinato alla perfezione: ogni piatto era curato nei dettagli e ricco di sapore. Si percepiva la qualità delle materie prime e la passione in cucina. Il personale è stato estremamente cordiale, sempre sorridente e attento senza mai essere invadente. Ci siamo sentiti accolti con grande gentilezza e professionalità, cosa che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Un posto dove torneremo sicuramente! Consigliato a chi ama il buon pesce e l’ospitalità genuina.

11/07/2025: Con mia moglie , mia figlia mio genero e la piccola nipotina abbiamo prenotato per cena. Appena arrivati una gentilissima Signora ci ha accolti con con gentilezza e con un gran sorriso. Sgaghetti con vongole, cacio e pepe, cacio e pate con gamberi e lime, che dire tutto ottimo. Porzioni veramente abbondanti (in altri posti sarebbero state 3 porzioni e non esagero). Era il mio compleanno e la signora non avendo torte, ci ha portato un piccolo dolce preparato con una frase di auguri. In sala ha messo una musichetta di buon compleanno e non sapeva più come mettersi a nostra disposizione. Che dire tutto ottimo, lo consiglio è sicuramente ci torneremo. Complimenti e grazie P. S. 10/07/2025: An unexpected surprise: after years of discovering pizzerias, I didn't think I'd find a pizzeria-restaurant like this! Quality of ingredients, pizza leavening (Roman, not Neapolitan), supplì, croquettes, etc.... all made in-house (and not bought and resold like in some trattorias). The prices are absolutely reasonable and even satisfying, confirming the whole experience, from the delicious food to the service. Booking days in advance is essential to secure a seat.

07/07/2025: Nice place but no air conditioning which is not the best these days.. the staff is polite and attentive, it's a shame that both the pizza and the dishes on the menu are completely tasteless.. tasteless condiments... it was definitely not a good experience... high prices for the products served

24/07/2025: A wonderful experience for anyone who wants to eat Italian without fuss! Osso buco, Milanese escalopes, spaghetti Bolognese... Beautiful quality products, great taste, efficient and friendly service. A touch of old-world Italy... unlike any tourist restaurant. Very good value for money
