This is my favorite restaurant in the entire of Italy. It used to make the best clam sauce with umami flavor from clam juice like I've never had anywhere else before in my life and it inspired me to replicate the same recipe at home. However, when we came back again this second time which was exactly a year apart, everything else remained awesome as it was before, but vongole sauce was too buttery as opposed to olive oil heavy like it used to be. We went twice, both lunch and dinner and the spaghetti il vongole had consistently too much butter both times. We were quite disappointed but I'll keep in mind to instruct them to put no butter next time. I'd recommend getting it with grated bottarga (+€3) for an enhanced umami. Service this time around was better though. All the new set of staff was very friendly and treated us very well. The spaghetti is cooked well, al dente as you'd expect the texture you'd get in Italy. Seafood is lightly seasoned and you can taste its original flavor of the fish, especially mussels and anchovies. We'll come back for sure but will be specific on the spaghetti alla vongole order. I'd recommend Vermentino from Sadegna to go along with. It's very well balanced. They also serve either blueberry or limoncello digestivo at the end of the meal on the house.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were truly thrilled both by what we ate and by the friendliness and affability of the staff.

It's now become our favorite place for family dinners. The atmosphere is always professional, yet very homey and comfortable. The first courses are superb and plentiful.
