The elegant atmosphere, consistently fresh, top-quality ingredients, homemade pasta, and attentive, meticulous service are the order of the day. The menu also features meat dishes to please everyone, but I highly recommend the seafood. A special mention goes to Antonello, the soul of the restaurant, a true enthusiast, friendly, professional, and always ready to recommend the dish of the day. The restaurant is located near Villa Doria Pamphili, about 750 meters from the Baldo Degli Ubaldi metro station. There is no private parking, and it can often take a while to find a spot on the street.

09/11/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An excellent experience at Il Grecale Restaurant in Anzio Last night I dined at Il Grecale Restaurant in Anzio with a friend, and I can say it was a truly extraordinary experience in every way. We started with an impeccable cooked and raw seafood appetizer, meticulously prepared and rich in authentic flavors. The oysters, incredibly fresh and of superb quality, were a true delight. It was all accompanied by a light, fragrant local white wine that perfectly complemented the dishes. For our first course, we chose gnocchi with gorgonzola, creamy, balanced, and truly irresistible—a seemingly simple dish, but executed with great mastery. For our second course, an exceptional salt-baked sea bass: perfectly cooked, precisely cut, and tender, flavorful meat. A dish that captures all the freshness of the sea and the chef's expertise. Heartfelt applause goes to the chef, who showcases each ingredient with balance and sensitivity, and to the owners, who kindly granted us a welcome discount. The value for money is truly exceptional: top-quality dishes at more than fair prices. The service was impeccable. We were looked after by Severina and Loredana, the latter possessing rare professionalism and sophistication: attentive, smiling, helpful, and endowed with a natural elegance that enhances the entire experience. In my opinion, Loredana deserves to work in Michelin-starred establishments. The family-run business is clearly evident, with a warm, welcoming, and authentic atmosphere that makes guests feel at home, despite the high-end setting. In short, Il Grecale is a true gem in Anzio: excellent cuisine, impeccable service, a family atmosphere, and a value for money that's hard to beat. 06/11/2025: Best seafood restaurant in the area I went there for the first time without knowing it, but I've been back several times since. The location may not be the best, but the food is excellent: the fish is incredibly fresh, new dishes are offered every day (in addition to those on the menu), the cooking is simple and homemade, and the prices are reasonable. I've tried several dishes on the menu (such as seafood pasta, seafood ragù, seafood gricia, and tuna cacciatore, as well as daily specials like cod with chickpea puree or sea bass with creamed Romanesco broccoli) and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and courteous. The only dish that could be improved is the fried calamari. I highly recommend it!

10/10/2025: A fishmonger with an adjoining kitchen, you can dine in or take out. Reasonable prices, with €20-30 for two, plus a wide selection of dishes. The chef is always inventing something new.

15/11/2025: Terrible! The bread was moldy, the guanciale was extremely bitter, and the waitress was even rude, trying to charge an extra 5 euros for the wine.

05/11/2025: Just ate here, food was quite disappointing for Italian standards. The food isn't what is told on the menu. When we ordered a pizza we asked politely if it was possible without artichoke, however it still arrived with it on there. They gave us different cocktails as what we ordered. But disappointing, I would recommend you going to one of the other amazing restaurants in Rome.

26/09/2025: It turns out to be one of the best restaurants for anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean cuisine, can read a menu, and makes the effort to speak the local language. The quality is truly top-notch; we were very satisfied and were happy to pay the modest bill.

Excellent service, with attentive staff. Clean bathrooms. Very welcoming atmosphere. The price was not exactly what I was invited for, but it certainly matched the service. Easy parking outside.
