20/01/2026: A charming restaurant right in the city center, offering meat and fish dishes, plus a couple of vegetarian options. Everything was delicious, and the waiter was incredibly kind and friendly (plus the prices are fair). I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

08/02/2026: I really enjoyed this experience, especially because I ate very well. The atmosphere was very welcoming, as were the waiters. It was only because I'd finished a dish and had even mopped up the bread with breadcrumbs that a waiter hugged me because he wasn't expecting a guy to eat bread gnocchi with prawns and truffle (a dish I recommend). In my opinion, where does this place go to win four restaurants? In 2016, it was competing. The only problem is that the place is very small, as is the bathroom, and it's cluttered with things. This is something I didn't like, except that these things were all old-fashioned, so they were shown on old TVs like Carosello.

19/01/2026: I stayed in Trieste for a weekend at the end of December. I was impressed by this restaurant, which I went for lunch and then returned for dinner. The menu offered a wide selection of carefully prepared dishes. I tried the "cauldron di mare" (seawater boiler); I still remember the flavor of those shrimp, the best I've ever tasted for freshness and quality. Spaghetti allo scoglio (seafood spaghetti), a super-abundant and delicious dish, flavorful yet delicate. The cod, the fried calamari.... the fish menu was a total hit! The table service was very friendly and efficient. Attilio was quick to serve, attentive, and helpful. The quality-price ratio was excellent. I will definitely choose this restaurant when I return to Trieste.
10/01/2026: We went to eat at the pop-up restaurant just around the corner, Skaramanzia, and it's still the same owners. We'd read that you could get their best sellers, and we wanted to try both the ravioli and the seafood. In the end, we ordered these two starters and also made some different appetizers by mixing the two menus. Wow! My partner and I were thrilled and have already booked for next week, when we're bringing more friends! Well done, guys, and see you very soon.

06/01/2026: A wonderful evening with friends, with delicious seafood. I especially recommend the raw fish and the sea bass turban with potatoes.
To finish, delicious homemade desserts (the best crème brulee).
Quality.
06/01/2026: An evening with friends over a delicious dinner featuring everything we love. Gnocchi alla busara is a must-try, with the obligatory mopping up of the bread!
The house dessert (Bayliss parfait) is a perfect finish.
Recommended!

17/01/2026: Excellent Neapolitan-style pizza, but a little thinner.... You can also get dough made with other flours.... The pizzas are well-prepared and well-matched.... I would add some tasty fried foods.
16/01/2026: I don't think I'll go back, even if it's my second time in years. There's no reason to do so other than lack of time. And it's at 7:40 PM, anyway!

14/01/2026: The restaurant's strong points are its speed of service (if you go during peak hours, you'll obviously have to wait a bit, but there's a high turnover rate), courtesy, cleanliness, and food quality. Some dishes are different every day. Adequate portions and reasonable prices. It's ideal for those who need a quick meal, such as a worker on a break, but even a passing tourist can enjoy the local cuisine.
I highly recommend it.

07/02/2026: A charming and welcoming atmosphere in a strategic location, close to the city center but slightly out of the way.
We chose this well-reviewed little place and had a great time.
The appetizers were excellent, and the main courses were also good. A bit disappointing with the millefeuille dessert, which was a shame.
The wines were reasonably priced.
The prices for the dishes were perhaps a little on the high side, but fish has its price.
It cost about €70 per person for three courses.
22/01/2026: Unfortunately, the worst frittomisto we've ever had in Italy. Antipasto was average, wine list well-balanced, and prices were reasonable.

08/02/2026: A historic restaurant, very unique, but also a bit anachronistic, like all of Trieste.
The fish dishes are classic and truly excellent, not particularly sophisticated, but the price is, in my opinion, unjustifiably high, especially considering the standard service (€3.50 cover charge!)
I would recommend it anyway.
15/01/2026: It's always a great experience. The classicism is fully rewarded.
