Prices are more than reasonable, considering the food and the ambiance. Very professional and helpful staff. Recommended if you're passing through Trieste.

05/08/2025: We went there as a family for dinner. The service was friendly and fast. Nice atmosphere, a bit like all outdoor restaurants, but noisy. We ordered mixed bruschetta for €12.00. We received four bruschettas, two with tomato and basil (I make that at home too) and two with fish on top. But I say, if I go to a seafood restaurant, I want to find seafood specialties on the bruschetta, not tomato... a bit of variety, my goodness. The bruschetta itself, the bread on the outside, was very hard and chewy. We ordered a whole wheat pizza by the chef for €18.00. I asked for the prosciutto to be removed (because I don't eat pork) and tuna and onion to be added. At the end of the bill, I saw the tuna and onion added on top for another €4! So, the pizza came to €22! So, if I make you remove a key ingredient from this special pizza, don't add any extra costs. And if you want to gain new customers, since it was our first time there, I'll be fine. The sweet, dried-out cherry tomatoes ruin the entire flavor because they add a hint of sweetness. It's best to remove them from this excellent special pizza. Then the mixed fried fish platter for €22. I would have expected more imagination and variety. The special pizza was very good, with melt-in-your-mouth buffalo mozzarella. I've never tasted it so fresh. I recommend using less oil on the special whole wheat pizza.

21/08/2025: Trattoria in the center of Trieste. We tried a scampi starter, which was very good. The main course, sea bream, was decent. The desserts were good. The bill wasn't too high.

28/08/2025: Average, ordinary food. I gave it two stars because in Italy they charge a minimum of 2 euros per person per person.

22/08/2025: This place surprised me, and positively. The seafood in the form of Fritura Mista was delicious, and the lasagna was more meaty than tomato-based, but delicious nonetheless. It had an old-fashioned restaurant feel, with a good mix of locals, which is a good sign. The service was friendly and welcoming.

24/08/2025: My partner and I stopped for lunch yesterday at this little restaurant in the center of Trieste. I called about twenty minutes before arriving (since I was passing through), and they were immediately kind and helpful in giving us a table. Fast service, very friendly staff, and excellent fish quality. If we ever return to Trieste, it will definitely be a must-visit. Everything was excellent :)

27/07/2025: Fabulous spaghetti alla vongole, excellent wine selection. I come back every year. A very quiet, small restaurant with a creative and unusual atmosphere. Unassuming from the outside.

19/07/2025: Very well-kept place. Excellent food and service. Friendly and helpful. I'd say I had a culinary orgasm when I ate the grilled octopus. Definitely worth a try. Kudos to the entire staff.

11/08/2025: Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience, food-wise. I went with my husband because the restaurant was recommended by the hotel we were staying at (only to find out later that the people who work there don't go there 😑). The menu was pretentious; we chose the classic one, and it was very disappointing. The appetizer was scallops au gratin, whose au gratin was soggy and greasy, and the creamed cod canapés, which were actually good. The real disaster was the first course: spaghetti with clams, terrible. They were a miserable little pile in the center of the plate with about a dozen baby clams arranged around them like a crown. Aside from the nursery-like plating (if you want to be cool, you can't do this tacky thing), the clams were COLD! Clearly placed there carelessly afterward. Of course, the spaghetti had a vague aroma of clam flavor, especially since there weren't a single one in it. Bad, to put it in one word. The other first course was spaghetti alla busara or something similar, bland, with a bland sauce with a condiment that could be described as tomato sauce, and two scampi placed on top, their shells still intact, without a dent to help them open. They tasted like nothing. The second courses, always mediocre but a little better than the first courses (also because it was so close), were a fried fish that was neither good nor bad, and a sort of scampi soup with fried polenta. I'd say the polenta was awful, if I didn't leave the suspicion, in all fairness, that it must have been, for some strange reason, either by recipe or experiment, sour. Half a liter of house wine, tap water. €128! For truly, truly awful food. I don't recommend going; it's the place where we spent the most and ate the worst in all of Trieste. REPLY TO THE OWNER: You confused us with another couple who must have eaten just as badly as us, and maybe worse. The only thing I said to her was about the cold clams, and if you're the tall, dark-haired guy, you completely ignored it. We kept quiet about all the other dishes. As for the rest, I assure you, the service was, as I've already said, the only pleasant aspect. The young man who served us was extremely kind and friendly. Don't blame the service for a dysfunctional kitchen and prices way above what's reasonable.

28/07/2025: Si tratta di una tipica trattoria di pesce con una cucina di qualità, un menù tradizionale, senza discutibili sperimentazioni e che non tradisce. Ampia selezione di antipasti da scegliere al banco. Ottimi i primi, i sardoni impanati, le seppie in umido. Valorizzati il pesce azzurro e il pesce povero. Personale giovane e gentile, molto piacevoli i tavolini fuori. Apprezzabile anche la malvasia sfusa. più che corretti i prezzi

19/07/2025: Siamo stati al ristorante Salvagente per pranzo e siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. Gli antipasti sono davvero eccellenti, cucina tradizionale e con ingredienti freschissimi. Ogni piatto è un mix ben bilanciato di sapori, che grazie alla freschezza degli ingredienti, sorprende senza mai esagerare. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile, l’atmosfera rilassata ma curata. Un posto dove torneremo sicuramente! Consigliato per chi ama iniziare la giornata con il piede giusto.

07/07/2025: Very nice historic bar in the center of Trieste a stone's throw from the shore. The excellent coffee and a delicious dessert made everything special. Even though it is a small place, the leap into the past is very nice
