05/06/2025: Stopped by chance during the Pedemontana MTB tour. Welcoming place and being on Sunday very crowded but despite everything we were served well. Very good and very abundant dishes. Very fresh fish and done very well. We found a place to safely put our bikes. Very honest prices recommended 👍
04/06/2025: Quality fish, pan of spaghetti with shrimp and spicy scampi I would say very satisfying.
Friendly and attentive service.
The place could be aesthetically improved.
I will return and recommend them.

28/06/2025: We went to dinner last night. Everything was perfect! I really go to restaurants a lot but I have to say that the three canals is one of the few discounts where you can find zero-mile fish and traditional and original recipes that are really well done. Let the chef Giorgio advise you and he will be able to tell you about all the qualities and characteristics of his fantastic raw materials. Even the plating is really gourmet and the quantities are just right

In the area there are elite restaurants that for the same price excite your taste buds with matching wines.

23/05/2025: We were here two nights in a row and we were a very large group. Nevertheless, the pizzeria reserved a room for us and the service was fast. The waitress was very nice.
The first night we had pasta with tomato sauce and then chicken legs with chips. The second night they gave us pasta with tomato sauce again and as a second course we had hamburgers and French fries. The hamburger was not a great success... The tiramisu and the profiteroles are highly recommended.
I did not give the maximum rating to the environment because in the innermost room there is no cell phone reception.

20/04/2025: I have been to this place several times and have always had a good time. Today Easter 25th I repeated the experience and the opinion is always excellent. I took the angus millefeuille and the meat was very tender, a real delight.
The friendly and competent staff.
I definitely recommend.

18/05/2025: First of all, it must be said that the service here was excellent, as was the (modern) atmosphere, the bread, and the choice of wines by the glass (as well as the pairings). The prices seem more than reasonable for the level of cuisine that the restaurant aims to offer.
As for the cuisine, there are perhaps a few things to complain about.
The amuse-bouche/welcome plate: simply adding a little za'atar or pepper to a steamed beetroot and celeriac does not transform them into a dish (not even a welcome one), neither in terms of taste nor in terms of appearance.
The pasta with blue crab bisque: I understand that no one likes to clean the crab, but simply making a bisque without even recovering the meat seems like a shame and a waste to me. And it is even more of a shame to serve the so-called bisque with a pasta that is not al dente but actually crunchy.
The amberjack with bok choy: here, unfortunately, we are bordering on the limit of acceptable. Soft skin, overcooked fish—stringy effect that is not alleviated by the lack of any sauce. Speaking of sauces, the choice of soy sauce for the bok choy turns out to be unoriginal.
The quail: excellent choice of raw material, not very easy to find in non-starred restaurants. Too bad, however, for the cooking of the breasts, on which the skin remained white (and the fat intact instead of being melted). Impeccable, however, the cooking of the wings. The combination with the sweetness of the dates is also good, although I would have hoped for more acidity to freshen the dish—a task that here is entrusted to the puntarelle, which however get lost in the sweetish sauce.
In short, a disappointment, unfortunately, from a culinary point of view. From a place and a chef like that I would have expected more technical expertise and innovation. That said, the environment together with the service remain very pleasant, and the bread together with the selection of wines deserve applause.
25/04/2025: It was our first dinner experience in a Michelin starred restaurant and I have to say it was really interesting. We liked the combination and cooking of the food and above all the taste. Spaghetti alla guitar with wild garlic...excellent! I never even thought I would eat and appreciate red turnips😊. Even the wines paired well and pleasantly.

It's called a "tavern", but in terms of quality it has nothing to envy of the best restaurants
The only flaw perhaps is the availability of parking, a problem that can be solved not far away... and in any case it is certainly worth the 2 minute walk
22/06/2025: Stuff was nice, but food not. Restaurant has a lot of good reviews but i am not sure why. We had fried fish plate and prawns pasta and it was tasteless. A lot of people was inside so looks like popular spot but i dont understand why.

The dishes offered are inviting and delicious (the ravioli especially) and the welcome is impeccable.

21/06/2025: What has happened to this place? We used to come here regularly and were always satisfied.
This year, however, we had an experience that has caused us to never visit Ovidio again.
We arrived shortly after 6:30 p.m., and at that time, it was almost empty. Our "buona sera" (good morning) didn't receive an immediate response. My question as to whether there was room for the three of us was met with a gruff "no, only reserved." The waiter's gaze was directed at our 6-year-old grandson.
Apparently, children aren't welcome here, because when we passed by the restaurant again 90 minutes later, it still wasn't very busy.
So, if anyone in Grado is planning to go out to eat with children, they'd better steer clear of Ovidio.
02/06/2025: Unfortunately I can't review the restaurant because if you arrive with a stroller and a sleeping baby, it's magically booked even if it's empty.
There was a place for the couple after us.
